tell_v but_o they_o seem_v to_o have_v hear_v of_o the_o opinion_n of_o the_o pythagorean_n which_o be_v embrace_v also_o by_o some_o among_o the_o jew_n who_o hold_v that_o there_o be_v a_o transmigration_n of_o soul_n from_o one_o body_n to_o another_o loc._n grat._n in_o loc._n so_o that_o consequent_o every_o man_n that_o be_v bear_v into_o the_o world_n have_v a_o pre-existence_n in_o some_o former_a state_n and_o if_o this_o opinion_n be_v true_a they_o can_v not_o tell_v but_o that_o this_o man_n blindness_n from_o his_o birth_n may_v be_v a_o punishment_n send_v upon_o he_o man_n i_o take_v to_o be_v this_o that_o he_o be_v therefore_o bear_v blind_a to_o give_v occasion_n to_o our_o saviour_n to_o exert_v and_o manifest_v his_o power_n in_o the_o miraculous_a cure_n of_o such_o a_o defect_n or_o imperfection_n in_o the_o body_n of_o this_o man_n as_o by_o any_o natural_a mean_n or_o remedy_n that_o can_v be_v use_v be_v altogether_o incurable_a and_o thereby_o to_o give_v a_o undeniable_a proof_n that_o he_o be_v endue_v with_o a_o divine_a power_n and_o consequent_o that_o he_o be_v the_o messiah_n he_o be_v therefore_o bear_v blind_a that_o the_o power_n of_o our_o saviour_n shall_v be_v manifest_v in_o he_o but_o as_o the_o word_n may_v be_v general_o understand_v and_o apply_v to_o any_o other_o case_n of_o the_o like_a nature_n the_o mean_v be_v this_o that_o when_o any_o temporal_a evil_n or_o affliction_n befall_v any_o man_n which_o be_v not_o design_v for_o a_o punishment_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o to_o make_v he_o a_o example_n of_o the_o divine_a vengeance_n it_o be_v not_o however_o by_o any_o oversight_n or_o carelessness_n of_o providence_n that_o he_o be_v so_o afflict_a but_o that_o there_o be_v always_o some_o other_o good_a neither_o have_v this_o man_n sin_v nor_o his_o parent_n that_o be_v they_o have_v not_o either_o of_o they_o so_o sin_v as_o that_o he_o shall_v be_v bear_v blind_a for_o a_o punishment_n of_o his_o own_o or_o their_o sin_n but_o he_o be_v therefore_o bear_v blind_a that_o the_o work_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v make_v manifest_a in_o he_o from_o the_o word_n thus_o explain_v i_o shall_v take_v occasion_n very_o brief_o to_o do_v these_o two_o thing_n i._o to_o show_v that_o the_o temporal_a evil_n which_o befall_v man_n be_v not_o always_o inflict_v upon_o they_o as_o punishment_n for_o bear_v blind_a say_v our_o saviour_n and_o what_o be_v true_a in_o his_o case_n be_v undoubted_o true_a in_o a_o great_a many_o other_o and_o the_o holy_a scripture_n itself_o furnish_v we_o with_o several_a example_n of_o this_o kind_n but_o that_o of_o job_n be_v one_o of_o the_o most_o remarkable_a one_o i_o shall_v at_o present_a instance_n only_o in_o that_o where_o first_o of_o all_o we_o may_v take_v notice_n of_o the_o character_n that_o be_v give_v of_o he_o by_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n job_n 1.1_o that_o man_n be_v perfect_a and_o upright_o and_o one_o that_o fear_v god_n and_o eschew_v evil._n so_o far_o be_v he_o from_o be_v a_o great_a sinner_n than_o other_o that_o on_o the_o contrary_a there_o be_v none_o upon_o earth_n at_o that_o time_n so_o good_a as_o he_o have_v thou_o ses_fw-fr god_n himself_o consider_v my_o servant_n job_n that_o there_o be_v none_o like_o he_o in_o the_o earth_n job_n 1.8_o certain_o then_o if_o any_o man_n can_v even_o merit_v
