sin_n against_o he_o we_o shall_v but_o still_o maintain_v and_o propagate_v to_o posterity_n that_o false_a and_o hypocritical_a spirit_n against_o which_o god_n have_v of_o old_a express_v so_o much_o hatred_n but_o of_o this_o and_o concern_v the_o end_n and_o use_n of_o sacrifice_n annex_v see_v the_o sermon_n hereto_o annex_v more_o hereafter_o cap._n vii_o 1._o the_o sin_n that_o we_o forsake_v must_v never_o be_v again_o embrace_v 2._o and_o without_o this_o perpetual_a forsake_v all_o our_o strictness_n about_o religious_a performance_n will_v not_o avail_v we_o though_o do_v relapse_n after_o we_o be_v pretty_a well_o recover_v and_o the_o rod_n which_o before_o be_v prepare_v for_o we_o will_v be_v turn_v into_o scorpion_n but_o the_o holy_a story_n be_v so_o clear_a in_o this_o that_o he_o must_v be_v much_o unacquainted_a with_o the_o condition_n of_o this_o people_n in_o all_o those_o time_n that_o do_v not_o see_v it_o and_o therefore_o know_v every_o one_o our_o good_a acceptance_n but_o it_o be_v plain_a enough_o in_o the_o temper_n of_o this_o people_n as_o i_o note_v in_o the_o begin_n of_o this_o discourse_n you_o can_v not_o have_v hire_v they_o to_o have_v lay_v down_o these_o fast_n and_o when_o they_o can_v not_o offer_v sacrifice_n at_o the_o temple_n they_o be_v very_o constant_a in_o their_o prayer_n at_o those_o time_n that_o they_o use_v to_o be_v offer_v and_o because_o they_o can_v not_o in_o their_o captivity_n offer_v those_o sacrifice_n that_o be_v command_v to_o be_v add_v on_o the_o eight_o day_n of_o the_o feast_n of_o tabernacle_n to_o the_o constant_a sacrifice_n numb_a 29._o they_o use_v certain_a peculiar_a prayer_n which_o they_o retain_v to_o this_o day_n which_o they_o recite_v at_o that_o time_n that_o neglect_n of_o such_o good_a duty_n and_o if_o it_o be_v his_o pleasure_n they_o will_v still_o perform_v they_o but_o alas_o poor_a soul_n this_o be_v the_o hypocrisy_n the_o scripture_n so_o much_o speak_v of_o the_o fine_a sort_n of_o hypocrisy_n that_o carry_v so_o many_o to_o hell_n in_o a_o please_a belief_n that_o they_o be_v go_v to_o heaven_n they_o be_v serious_a and_o zealous_a in_o some_o thing_n but_o not_o in_o all_o and_o so_o they_o do_v but_o in_o good_a earnest_n as_o we_o say_v and_o in_o a_o more_o sober_a way_n set_v themselves_o to_o cheat_v their_o soul_n they_o fast_v very_o severe_o they_o mourn_v very_o bitter_o knock_v their_o breast_n hearty_o confess_v devout_o and_o pray_v earnest_o and_o sacrifice_v plentiful_o but_o yet_o they_o do_v not_o search_v and_o try_v their_o way_n to_o turn_v again_o unto_o the_o lord_n they_o do_v not_o every_o one_o put_v away_o the_o evil_a of_o their_o do_n and_o so_o all_o their_o zeal_n in_o the_o former_a thing_n instead_o of_o do_v they_o good_a wrought_v their_o great_a mischief_n by_o make_v they_o confident_o to_o account_v themselves_o religious_a person_n and_o to_o be_v angry_a with_o the_o prophet_n who_o will_v persuade_v they_o to_o the_o contrary_n 3._o it_o be_v well_o now_o if_o every_o one_o before_o he_o read_v any_o further_a will_v examine_v his_o own_o heart_n and_o give_v like_a that_o have_v thus_o fast_v and_o weep_v and_o pray_v either_o for_o their_o own_o good_a or_o the_o good_a of_o their_o nation_n and_o at_o what_o a_o vast_a distance_n be_v they_o from_o god_n favour_n who_o be_v not_o come_v to_o the_o porch_n of_o his_o house_n no_o be_v not_o in_o the_o way_n to_o become_v his_o servant_n but_o i_o doubt_v they_o be_v very_o hard_a to_o be_v find_v one_o perhaps_o of_o
