one_o commend_v unto_o we_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n the_o other_o exhort_v we_o to_o the_o study_n and_o knowledge_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o although_o the_o prophet_n david_n dâ—â—_n great_o commend_v the_o study_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n in_o his_o first_o psalm_n yet_o also_o throughout_o his_o psalm_n he_o make_v special_a exhortation_n unto_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n as_o among_o the_o rest_n principal_o in_o this_o hundred_o and_o twelve_o psalm_n bless_a be_v the_o man_n he_o say_v not_o that_o flow_v in_o riches_n for_o godliness_n be_v great_a riches_n if_o a_o utter_o overwhelm_v fear_n three_o effect_n of_o the_o true_a fear_n for_o ever_o and_o yet_o there_o be_v a_o more_o certain_a knowledge_n of_o the_o true_a fear_n of_o god_n consist_v in_o these_o three_o effect_n first_o that_o 1._o 1._o whereas_o corruption_n and_o naughtiness_n lurk_v in_o our_o heart_n and_o will_v fain_o have_v a_o vent_n and_o issue_n the_o fear_n of_o god_n do_v keep_v that_o evil_a back_n and_o do_v so_o restrain_v bridle_n and_o keep_v in_o our_o corrupt_a and_o evil_a inclination_n that_o they_o shall_v not_o in_o any_o case_n break_v forth_o to_o the_o dishonour_n of_o god_n 2_o 2_o and_o our_o own_o shame_n and_o confusion_n the_o second_o effect_n note_n or_o mark_v of_o the_o true_a fear_n of_o god_n be_v by_o depart_v from_o evil_n for_o he_o that_o fear_v god_n true_o depart_v from_o evil_a and_o sin_n unfeigned_o deâ—esting_v and_o abhor_v the_o same_o both_o in_o himself_o and_o other_o the_o three_o effect_n 3_o 3_o and_o note_n whereby_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n be_v know_v to_o be_v in_o we_o be_v when_o we_o be_v purposely_o set_v to_o amend_v our_o former_a evil_a life_n and_o stedsast_o determine_v with_o the_o prophet_n david_n to_o keep_v the_o commandment_n of_o our_o love_a and_o gracious_a god_n which_o matter_n will_v desire_v a_o long_a discourse_n and_o hereafter_o god_n willing_a somewhat_o may_v be_v speak_v but_o at_o this_o present_a they_o can_v be_v stand_v upon_o only_o that_o which_o i_o promise_v that_o lie_v upon_o i_o to_o perform_v namely_o to_o set_v forth_o the_o commodity_n and_o through_o our_o sin_n and_o ungodliness_n we_o lose_v not_o our_o happy_a estate_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v as_o touch_v the_o knowledge_n of_o ourselves_o that_o be_v of_o our_o ourselves_o the_o knowledge_n of_o ourselves_o excellent_a estate_n wherein_o we_o be_v create_v of_o our_o fall_n whereby_o we_o lose_v and_o forfeit_v that_o estate_n and_o how_o again_o we_o be_v restore_v unto_o the_o same_o the_o word_n of_o god_n do_v thus_o instruct_v estate_n man_n excellent_a estate_n us._n that_o god_n by_o his_o infinite_a goodness_n create_v man_n according_a to_o his_o image_n
