world_n so_o a_o man_n shall_v bring_v himself_o to_o a_o just_a and_o due_a esteem_n of_o the_o evil_a thing_n of_o the_o world_n such_o as_o sickness_n and_o pain_n and_o imprisonment_n and_o reproach_n and_o want_v and_o the_o like_a there_o be_v these_o two_o thing_n that_o do_v much_o allay_v the_o severity_n of_o those_o evil_n 1._o they_o be_v but_o corporal_n they_o reach_v no_o far_o than_o the_o body_n the_o husk_n the_o outward_a man_n the_o cottage_n they_o can_v at_o all_o get_v so_o deep_a as_o the_o soul_n 2._o they_o be_v but_o temporal_a it_o be_v most_o certain_a that_o death_n will_v cure_v and_o heal_v these_o evil_n and_o possible_o these_o distemper_n and_o suffering_n the_o less_o severe_a they_o be_v the_o more_o tolerable_a the_o more_o severe_a the_o more_o in_o probability_n they_o will_v hasten_v and_o advance_v the_o cure_n as_o nothing_o that_o have_v a_o end_n can_v make_v a_o man_n true_o happy_a so_o nothing_o that_o have_v a_o end_n can_v make_v a_o man_n true_o miserable_a because_o he_o have_v under_o his_o great_a misery_n the_o lenitive_a of_o hope_n and_o expectation_n of_o a_o deliverance_n 6._o but_o yet_o far_o gain_v assurance_n of_o thy_o peace_n with_o god_n in_o christ_n and_o consequent_o of_o thy_o future_a happiness_n and_o be_v frequent_a in_o the_o contemplation_n and_o improvement_n of_o it_o this_o be_v the_o great_a engine_n of_o a_o christian_a a_o magistery_n that_o be_v never_o attain_v by_o the_o most_o exquisite_a philosopher_n nor_o be_v attainable_a but_o in_o and_o by_o the_o knowledge_n of_o christ_n who_o bring_v life_n and_o immortality_n to_o light_n it_o be_v the_o great_a expedient_a whereby_o a_o man_n attain_v victory_n over_o the_o world_n whereby_o he_o be_v able_a to_o enjoy_v prosperity_n with_o moderation_n and_o undergo_v affliction_n with_o patience_n 5.4_o 1_o joh._n 5.4_o this_o be_v the_o victory_n which_o overcome_v the_o world_n even_o your_o faith_n when_o a_o man_n under_o the_o severe_a affliction_n shall_v have_v this_o assurance_n and_o these_o contemplation_n it_o be_v true_a i_o be_o in_o as_o low_a a_o condition_n as_o the_o world_n can_v cast_v i_o my_o estate_n tear_v from_o i_o by_o the_o base_a of_o man_n and_o i_o and_o my_o child_n expose_v to_o extreme_a want_n and_o necessity_n so_o that_o i_o be_o become_v little_o better_o than_o a_o vagabond_n upon_o the_o earth_n for_o the_o very_a attain_n of_o bread_n or_o at_o best_o be_o drive_v to_o the_o hard_a and_o most_o sordid_a employment_n that_o can_v be_v consistent_a with_o honesty_n for_o my_o supply_n of_o necessary_n and_o if_o by_o chance_n my_o own_o sweat_n or_o other_o charity_n supply_v i_o to_o day_n i_o can_v imagine_v what_o shift_n to_o make_v for_o to_o morrow_n and_o if_o this_o be_v a_o condition_n to_o which_o i_o have_v be_v bear_v or_o in_o which_o i_o have_v be_v breed_v use_n may_v have_v make_v it_o easy_a and_o familiar_a but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o i_o be_o fall_v into_o this_o low_a condition_n from_o a_o plentiful_a and_o liberal_a condition_n wherein_o i_o have_v my_o table_n crown_v with_o plenty_n and_o as_o i_o want_v not_o charity_n to_o employ_v my_o plenty_n so_o i_o want_v not_o plenty_n to_o supply_v my_o charity_n again_o i_o be_v in_o the_o great_a reputation_n and_o esteem_n among_o man_n that_o may_v be_v but_o now_o i_o be_o fall_v under_o the_o sad_a the_o base_a scorn_v and_o obloquy_n and_o reproach_n and_o imputation_n that_o can_v be_v and_o all_o this_o without_o any_o cause_n my_o enemy_n triumph_n over_o i_o with_o scorn_n derision_n and_o exprobration_n my_o former_a friend_n bestow_v upon_o i_o a_o kind_n of_o scornful_a pity_n that_o be_v more_o bitter_a than_o the_o upbraid_n of_o my_o enemy_n the_o abject_n and_o dregs_o of_o the_o people_n make_v i_o their_o byword_n and_o the_o calumny_n under_o which_o i_o suffer_v be_v of_o such_o a_o nature_n that_o none_o dare_v be_v my_o advocate_n but_o the_o silent_a testimony_n of_o my_o own_o conscience_n and_o innocence_n again_o under_o all_o these_o pressure_n it_o have_v be_v some_o allay_n if_o i_o be_v but_o a_o citizen_n of_o the_o world_n that_o i_o have_v but_o the_o liberty_n to_o forsake_v the_o place_n of_o my_o suffering_n and_o go_v to_o some_o more_o auspicious_a or_o tolerable_a corner_n of_o the_o world_n but_o in_o that_o i_o be_o also_o prevent_v my_o liberty_n be_v take_v from_o i_o and_o i_o be_o pen_v up_o in_o the_o narrow_a dark_a loathsome_a stink_a confine_n of_o a_o most_o odious_a prison_n without_o the_o benefit_n of_o light_n or_o friend_n or_o indeed_o of_o any_o other_o company_n than_o such_o as_o make_v my_o imprisonment_n the_o more_o intolerable_a chain_n and_o vermin_n and_o the_o most_o accurse_a malefactor_n again_o i_o suffer_v not_o only_o under_o restraint_n of_o a_o loathsome_a goal_n but_o i_o be_o expose_v to_o linger_a torment_n rack_n and_o whip_n and_o famine_n and_o nakedness_n and_o cold_a and_o continual_a threat_n and_o sad_a expectation_n of_o worse_a to_o follow_v if_o worse_a there_o may_v be_v again_o dismal_a and_o painful_a and_o torment_a disease_n

or_o wit_n but_o of_o thy_o heart_n and_o soul_n yet_o let_v the_o reverence_n and_o awe_n thou_o bear_v to_o he_o before_o who_o thou_o come_v in_o thy_o prayer_n the_o seriousness_n of_o the_o business_n about_o which_o thou_o go_v put_v thou_o in_o mind_n to_o prepare_v thyself_o and_o thy_o soul_n and_o to_o tune_v it_o by_o these_o consideration_n to_o a_o humble_a frame_n of_o spirit_n to_o a_o forecast_v of_o thy_o desire_n to_o a_o humble_a approach_n to_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n to_o all_o beseem_a reverence_n both_o in_o thy_o word_n and_o gesture_n the_o heart_n it_o be_v true_a shall_v be_v in_o a_o continual_a frame_n of_o prayer_n and_o almost_o every_o occurrence_n of_o our_o life_n require_v a_o lift_n up_o of_o the_o heart_n to_o god_n in_o prayer_n or_o in_o thanksgiving_n which_o can_v be_v so_o order_v with_o preparation_n but_o a_o solemn_a prayer_n though_o in_o private_a require_v a_o just_a preparation_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o a_o performance_n of_o it_o with_o the_o whole_a contribution_n of_o the_o whole_a soul_n and_o strength_n and_o understanding_n and_o affection_n 3._o though_o thou_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o use_v no_o other_o form_n yet_o use_v this_o frequent_o upon_o these_o consideration_n 1._o it_o be_v the_o command_n of_o thy_o lord_n and_o master_n there_o be_v somewhat_o of_o command_n in_o these_o word_n he_o that_o command_v to_o pray_v after_o this_o manner_n mean_v not_o that_o this_o prayer_n shall_v be_v forget_v that_o which_o be_v make_v a_o pattern_n to_o thy_o other_o prayer_n be_v not_o intend_v to_o be_v a_o thing_n only_o to_o be_v look_v upon_o and_o not_o to_o be_v use_v thou_o may_v use_v other_o prayer_n to_o give_v scope_n to_o thy_o spirit_n but_o conclude_v with_o this_o 2._o it_o be_v
