i_o have_v only_o give_v a_o very_a short_a touch_n of_o the_o torment_n of_o hell_n o_o i_o be_o set_v i_o be_o set_v and_o be_o not_o able_a to_o utter_v what_o my_o mind_n conceive_v of_o the_o torment_n of_o hell_n yet_o this_o let_v i_o say_v to_o thou_o accept_v of_o god_n mercy_n through_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n lest_o thou_o feel_v that_o with_o thy_o conscience_n which_o i_o can_v express_v with_o my_o tongue_n and_o say_v i_o be_o sore_o torment_v in_o this_o flame_n and_o see_v abraham_n afar_o off_o and_o lazarus_n in_o his_o bosom_n when_o the_o damn_a be_v in_o this_o pitiful_a state_n surround_v with_o fear_n with_o terror_n with_o torment_n and_o vengeance_n one_o thing_n they_o shall_v have_v which_o be_v this_o they_o shall_v see_v the_o happy_a and_o bless_a state_n of_o god_n child_n he_o see_v abraham_n afar_o off_o and_o lazarus_n in_o his_o bosom_n which_o as_o i_o say_v before_o be_v the_o happy_a state_n of_o the_o saint_n when_o this_o life_n be_v end_v this_o now_o shall_v be_v so_o far_o from_o be_v a_o ease_n unto_o they_o that_o it_o shall_v most_o wonderful_o aggravate_v or_o heighten_v their_o torment_n as_o i_o say_v before_o will_v be_v far_o from_o heaven_n you_o will_v see_v lazarus_n but_o it_o will_v be_v afar_o off_o again_o he_o see_v abraham_n afar_o off_o and_o lazarus_n in_o his_o bosom_n these_o be_v some_o of_o the_o thing_n that_o the_o damn_a do_v behold_v so_o soon_o as_o they_o come_v into_o torment_n mark_v and_o he_o see_v lazarus_n in_o abraham_n bosom_n lazarus_n who_o be_v he_o why_o even_o he_o that_o be_v so_o flight_v so_o disregade_v so_o undervalue_v by_o this_o ungodly_a one_o while_o he_o be_v in_o the_o world_n he_o see_v lazarus_n in_o his_o bosom_n from_o whence_o observe_v that_o those_o who_o live_v and_o the_o die_v enemy_n of_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n let_v they_o be_v never_o so_o great_a or_o stout_a let_v they_o bear_v never_o so_o much_o sway_v while_o they_o be_v in_o the_o world_n let_v they_o brag_v and_o boast_v never_o so_o much_o while_o they_o be_v here_o they_o shall_v in_o spite_n of_o their_o tooth_n see_v the_o saint_n yea_o the_o poor_a saint_n even_o the_o lazarus_n or_o the_o ragged_a one_o that_o belong_v to_o jesus_n to_o be_v in_o a_o better_a condition_n than_o themselves_o o_o who_o do_v you_o think_v be_v in_o the_o best_a condition_n or_o who_o do_v you_o think_v see_v themselves_o in_o the_o best_a condition_n he_o that_o be_v in_o hell_n or_o he_o that_o be_v in_o heaven_n he_o that_o be_v in_o darkness_n or_o he_o that_o be_v in_o light_n he_o that_o be_v in_o everlasting_a joy_n or_o he_o that_o be_v in_o everlasting_a torment_n the_o one_o with_o god_n christ_n saint_n angel_n the_o other_o in_o torment_a flame_n under_o the_o curse_n of_o god_n eternal_a hatred_n with_o the_o devil_n and_o their_o angel_n together_o with_o a_o innumerable_a company_n of_o howl_v roar_a curse_a ever_o burn_a reprobate_n certain_o this_o observation_n will_v be_v easy_o prove_v to_o be_v true_a here_o in_o this_o world_n by_o he_o that_o look_v upon_o it_o with_o a_o understand_a heart_n and_o will_v clear_v itself_o to_o be_v true_a in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v by_o such_o as_o shall_v go_v either_o to_o heaven_n or_o to_o hell_n 2._o the_o second_o observation_n from_o these_o word_n and_o see_v abraham_n afar_o off_o and_o lazarus_n in_o his_o bosom_n be_v this_o they_o that_o be_v the_o persecutor_n of_o the_o saint_n of_o the_o lord_n now_o in_o this_o world_n shall_v see_v the_o lord_n persecute_v once_o to_o be_v they_o that_o be_v so_o high_o esteem_v by_o the_o lord_n as_o to_o sit_v or_o to_o be_v in_o abraham_n bosom_n in_o everlasting_a glory_n though_o they_o the_o enemy_n to_o the_o child_n of_o god_n and_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o saint_n do_v so_o light_o esteem_v they_o that_o they_o scorn_v to_o let_v
they_o gather_v up_o the_o dog_n meat_n that_o fall_v under_o their_o table_n this_o be_v also_o verify_v and_o hold_v forth_o plain_o by_o this_o parable_n and_o therefore_o be_v not_o grieve_v o_o you_o that_o be_v the_o tempt_v persecute_a afflict_a sigh_v pray_v saint_n of_o the_o lord_n though_o your_o adversary_n look_v upon_o you_o now_o with_o a_o disdainful_a surly_a rugged_a proud_a observe_v that_o the_o laughter_n of_o the_o ungodly_a will_v not_o last_v always_o but_o will_v be_v sure_a to_o end_v in_o a_o cry_n o_o no_o my_o friend_n consider_v you_o must_v have_v a_o change_n either_o here_o or_o in_o hell_n if_o you_o be_v not_o new_a creature_n regenerate_a person_n new_o bear_v babe_n in_o this_o world_n before_o you_o go_v hence_o your_o note_n will_v be_v change_v you_o condition_n will_v be_v change_v for_o if_o you_o come_v into_o hell_n you_o must_v cry_v o_o do_v but_o the_o sing_a drunkard_n when_o they_o be_v make_v merry_a on_o the_o alebench_n i_o die_v but_o as_o i_o say_v before_o the_o devil_n as_o he_o labour_v to_o get_v poor_a soul_n to_o follow_v their_o sin_n so_o he_o labour_v also_o to_o keep_v the_o thought_n of_o eternal_a damnation_n out_o of_o their_o mind_n and_o indeed_o these_o two_o thing_n be_v so_o near_o link_v together_o that_o the_o devil_n can_v well_o get_v the_o soul_n to_o go_v on_o in_o sin_n with_o delight_n unless_o he_o can_v keep_v the_o thought_n of_o that_o terrible_a after-clap_a out_o of_o their_o mind_n but_o let_v they_o know_v that_o it_o shall_v not_o always_o be_v thus_o with_o they_o for_o if_o when_o they_o depart_v they_o drop_v down_o into_o eternal_a destruction_n they_o shall_v have_v such_o a_o sense_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o the_o punishment_n due_a to_o the_o same_o that_o it_o shall_v make_v they_o to_o cry_v and_o he_o cry_v o_o what_o a_o alteration_n will_v there_o be_v among_o the_o ungodly_a when_o they_o go_v out_o of_o this_o world_n it_o may_v be_v a_o fortnight_n or_o a_o month_n before_o their_o departure_n they_o be_v light_n stout_a surly_a drink_v themselves_o drink_v slight_v god_n people_n mock_v at_o goodness_n and_o delight_v in_o but_o now_o they_o be_v in_o hell_n they_o do_v cry_v it_o may_v be_v last_o year_n they_o hear_v some_o good_a sermon_n be_v invite_v to_o receive_v heaven_n be_v tell_v their_o sin_n shall_v be_v pardon_v if_o they_o close_v in_o with_o jesus_n but_o refuse_v his_o proffer_n and_o slight_v the_o grace_n that_o be_v once_o tender_v they_o be_v now_o in_o hell_n and_o do_v cry_v before_o they_o miserable_a and_o irrecoverable_a condition_n they_o will_v cry_v o_o what_o a_o condition_n will_v thou_o fall_v into_o when_o thou_o do_v depart_v this_o world_n if_o thou_o depart_v unconvert_v and_o not_o bear_v again_o thou_o have_v better_o have_v be_v smother_v the_o first_o hour_n thou_o be_v bear_v thou_o have_v better_o have_v be_v pluck_v one_o limb_n from_o another_o thou_o have_v better_o have_v be_v make_v a_o dog_n a_o toad_n a_o serpent_n nay_o any_o other_o creature_n in_o the_o visible_a world_n then_o to_o die_v unconvert_v and_o this_o thou_o will_v find_v to_o be_v pleasure_n delight_n profit_n and_o vanity_n which_o the_o ignorant_a people_n of_o the_o world_n do_v count_v their_o good_a thing_n and_o do_v very_o much_o cheer_v themselves_o therewith_o soul_n they_o will_v not_o endure_v to_o entertain_v a_o serious_a thought_n of_o their_o filthy_a life_n but_o will_v labour_v by_o all_o mean_n to_o put_v the_o thought_n of_o it_o out_o of_o their_o mind_n but_o there_o they_o shall_v be_v make_v to_o remember_v to_o a_o purpose_n and_o to_o think_v continual_o of_o their_o ungodly_a deed_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v say_v that_o when_o our_o lord_n jesus_n come_v to_o judgement_n it_o will_v be_v to_o convince_v the_o ungodly_a world_n of_o their_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a deed_n mark_v to_o convince_v they_o judas_n 14_o 15._o it_o be_v like_a they_o will_v not_o willing_o take_v notice_n of_o they_o but_o they_o shall_v be_v convince_v of_o they_o in_o spite_n of_o their_o tooth_n and_o also_o between_o this_o and_o they_o these_o that_o die_v out_o of_o christ_n shall_v be_v make_v to_o see_v acknowledge_v and_o confess_v do_v what_o they_o can_v when_o they_o lift_v up_o their_o eye_n in_o hell_n and_o to_o remember_v their_o
