which_o be_v never_o satisfy_v or_o whether_o we_o consider_v christ_n infinite_a riches_n manifest_v in_o his_o truth_n there_o must_v be_v a_o in_o satiable_a mind_n of_o desire_n in_o a_o christian_a to_o be_v further_o fill_v with_o and_o more_o full_o assure_v of_o the_o love_n of_o christ._n where_o grace_n be_v there_o be_v a_o further_a desire_n of_o grow_v in_o grace_n and_o it_o be_v a_o high_a degree_n of_o love_n to_o desire_v a_o enjoy_n of_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n then_o to_o desire_v to_o enjoy_v heaven_n itself_o which_o can_v be_v yet_o therefore_o here_o let_v we_o try_v 1_o our_o love_n by_o our_o labour_a for_o that_o sight_n of_o christ_n w_o ch_z we_o may_v have_v of_o he_o in_o this_o life_n below_o and_o here_o lot_n we_o desire_v often_o and_o much_o to_o see_v he_o in_o his_o ordinance_n where_o he_o manifest_v himself_o in_o a_o special_a manner_n therefore_o i_o say_v be_v thou_o sick_a and_o in_o prison_n or_o so_o lame_a of_o thy_o limb_n think_v the_o man_n too_o holy_a and_o the_o course_n too_o strict_a that_o look_v that_o way_n sure_o such_o want_n the_o true_a character_n of_o a_o right_a christian_a which_o be_v to_o have_v a_o further_o and_o further_a desire_n of_o the_o manifestation_n of_o christ_n love_n many_o of_o these_o neglect_n the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n or_o if_o they_o come_v where_o they_o may_v be_v have_v never_o desire_v by_o they_o a_o further_a increase_n as_o it_o be_v the_o inward_a kiss_n of_o christ_n mouth_n but_o content_v themselves_o with_o the_o outward_a even_o the_o bark_n of_o those_o ordinance_n when_o the_o spirit_n shall_v witness_v and_o seal_v up_o this_o love_n the_o love_n of_o christ_n to_o their_o soul_n by_o a_o inward_a kiss_n they_o content_v themselves_o with_o the_o outward_a the_o bare_a hear_n of_o the_o word_n but_o mark_v what_o i_o say_v where_o this_o further_a desire_n of_o familiarity_n with_o christ_n be_v not_o there_o be_v but_o a_o barren_a soil_n and_o soul_n of_o a_o christian_a there_o be_v no_o true_a taste_n of_o christ_n love_n for_o if_o there_o be_v there_o will_v be_v a_o further_a desire_n of_o growth_n in_o that_o affection_n there_o be_v some_o that_o make_v a_o fair_a profession_n like_o unto_o many_o that_o marry_v to_o cloak_n their_o adultery_n for_o so_o such_o profess_v christ_n to_o cover_v their_o strong_a covetousness_n and_o other_o strong_a fault_n that_o they_o may_v have_v more_o liberty_n to_o commit_v sin_n but_o christian_n true_o religious_a must_v not_o content_v themselves_o with_o outwardnesse_n in_o these_o kiss_n but_o give_v as_o the_o outward_a man_n so_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o the_o inwaid_a the_o soul_n unto_o god_n let_v those_o that_o find_v after_o such_o trial_n these_o desire_n spring_v up_o in_o they_o comfort_v themselves_o in_o this_o that_o they_o be_v christ_n and_o that_o christ_n will_v manifest_v his_o love_n more_o and_o more_o unto_o they_o for_o he_o have_v promise_v to_o grant_v the_o desire_n 4._o of_o the_o righteous_a have_v thou_o then_o a_o long_a desire_n to_o have_v a_o further_a taste_n of_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n use_v the_o mean_n conscionable_o and_o the_o world_n from_o pleasure_n and_o the_o like_a for_o christ_n be_v wonderful_a jealous_a both_o of_o our_o judgement_n and_o of_o our_o love_n therefore_o paul_n desire_v to_o present_v the_o corinth_n a_o pure_a virgin_n unto_o christ._n 2._o and_o further_o as_o we_o must_v affect_v goodness_n so_o we_o must_v profess_v truth_n we_o must_v have_v chaste_a judgement_n as_o well_o as_o chaste_a affection_n the_o spouse_n of_o christ_n as_o she_o be_v pure_a in_o affection_n so_o she_o be_v be_v pure_a in_o judgement_n she_o hear_v his_o voice_n and_o follow_v he_o whatsoever_o come_v not_o from_o the_o word_n she_o receive_v not_o but_o reject_v it_o and_o as_o her_o judgement_n be_v right_o set_v so_o her_o affection_n be_v pure_a and_o holy_a now_o therefore_o labour_n for_o these_o that_o be_v for_o chaste_a affection_n christ_n will_v not_o have_v we_o to_o divide_v our_o affection_n some_o for_o he_o and_o some_o for_o the_o world_n or_o partly_o for_o pleasure_n and_o partly_o for_o he_o no_o he_o will_v not_o have_v it_o so_o for_o a_o fire_n divide_v have_v less_o heat_n he_o will_v have_v the_o whole_a heart_n and_o the_o whole_a of_o our_o affection_n or_o he_o will_v have_v neither_o heart_n nor_o affection_n if_o we_o give_v our_o heart_n to_o the_o world_n or_o to_o the_o pleasure_n of_o the_o world_n the_o love_n of_o which_o be_v enmity_n with_o god_n then_o 4._o have_v we_o a_o adulterous_a heart_n which_o to_o do_v be_v a_o double_a sin_n as_o it_o be_v for_o a_o wife_n to_o commit_v whoredom_n for_o in_o her_o whoredom_n there_o be_v a_o breach_n of_o chastity_n and_o breach_n of_o the_o marriage_n band_n and_o indeed_o to_o embrace_v the_o world_n after_o we_o be_v contract_v unto_o christ_n what_o be_v it_o less_o than_o whoredom_n and_o a_o breach_n of_o covenant_n in_o our_o spiritual_a contract_n with_o christ_n therefore_o beware_v of_o worldly-mindednesse_a which_o as_o glue_v will_v tie_v all_o thy_o affection_n so_o fast_o to_o the_o earth_n that_o thou_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o lift_v any_o to_o christ._n take_v heed_n of_o the_o pleasure_n of_o the_o world_n lest_o they_o drown_v thy_o soul_n in_o this_o contract_n 2._o and_o taste_v of_o this_o love_n she_o have_v ever_o spring_v up_o in_o she_o a_o further_a desire_n of_o the_o increase_n and_o manifestation_n thereof_o for_o the_o first_o as_o after_o the_o 1._o contract_n there_o be_v a_o more_o and_o more_o evident_a manifestation_n of_o love_n than_o be_v before_o yet_o not_o so_o full_a as_o after_o the_o marriage_n so_o christ_n though_o he_o do_v give_v his_o spouse_n a_o taste_n of_o his_o love_n here_o and_o send_v certain_a love_n token_n unto_o she_o from_o heaven_n some_o grace_n whereby_o his_o love_n be_v make_v more_o manifest_a than_o before_o it_o be_v as_o isaac_n 24._o send_v to_o rebecka_n some_o jewel_n and_o bracelet_n to_o manifest_v his_o love_n to_o she_o yet_o his_o love_n be_v not_o full_o love_n in_o this_o life_n that_o neither_o affliction_n on_o our_o left_a hand_n may_v too_o much_o press_v we_o down_o or_o discomfort_v we_o nor_o the_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n of_o this_o life_n of_o heart_n and_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o it_o second_o observe_v how_o you_o may_v come_v to_o have_v most_o communion_n with_o christ_n and_o at_o what_o time_n and_o after_o what_o performance_n as_o to_o be_v able_a to_o say_v i_o be_v thus_o and_o thus_o dead_a and_o senseless_a of_o christ_n love_n but_o now_o i_o be_o thus_o and_o thus_o comfort_v and_o refresh_v with_o it_o i_o be_v strong_a for_o my_o pleasure_n now_o i_o be_o strong_o bend_v to_o please_v god_n and_o myself_o no_o way_n with_o his_o dishonour_n i_o be_v all_o for_o myself_o now_o i_o be_o the_o least_o
