speak_v of_o hope_n hope_n make_v not_o ashamed_a that_o be_v it_o suffer_v not_o to_o be_v dishearten_v to_o be_v confound_v but_o it_o keep_v up_o the_o heart_n from_o sink_v and_o make_v it_o bear_v up_o in_o trouble_n present_a by_o the_o expectation_n of_o joy_n to_o come_v and_o this_o common_a experience_n show_v we_o in_o worldly_a action_n and_o suffering_n for_o hope_n have_v bear_v out_o mankind_n through_o pain_n almost_o intolerable_a unto_o comfort_n steadfast_o see_v &_o apprehend_v by_o it_o wherefore_o do_v not_o make_v a_o fault_n of_o the_o futurenesse_n of_o thy_o happiness_n but_o find_v and_o amend_v the_o true_a fault_n of_o thy_o belief_n &_o hope_n yet_o neither_o be_v we_o altogether_o thrust_v upon_o hope_n but_o even_o in_o this_o life_n have_v we_o the_o very_a substance_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o we_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o heavenly_a oil_n which_o make_v glad_a not_o so_o much_o the_o face_n as_o the_o very_a heart_n of_o man._n it_o have_v in_o many_o that_o bewail_v his_o trouble_n so_o many_o to_o encourage_v he_o stand_v so_o many_o to_o raise_v he_o be_v fall_v so_o many_o to_o advise_v he_o in_o doubt_n so_o many_o to_o relieve_v he_o in_o necessity_n in_o sum_n the_o true_a child_n of_o god_n ever_o be_v and_o still_o be_v of_o one_o heart_n and_o mind_n love_v and_o belove_a they_o account_v themselves_o as_o one_o &_o therefore_o no_o part_n of_o this_o unity_n can_v lack_v what_o the_o other_o part_n thereof_o enjoy_v he_o that_o be_v a_o son_n have_v in_o he_o this_o love_n and_o he_o that_o have_v not_o this_o adam_n we_o must_v whole_o fasten_v our_o heart_n on_o he_o and_o whole_o cleave_v unto_o he_o resolve_v to_o be_v his_o alone_a and_o to_o put_v ourselves_o whole_o under_o his_o shadow_n &_o protection_n and_o then_o the_o king_n will_v have_v pleasure_n in_o our_o beauty_n yea_o he_o will_v love_v we_o and_o come_v and_o dwell_v with_o we_o if_o christ_n be_v the_o light_n of_o our_o eye_n and_o the_o joy_n of_o our_o heart_n if_o his_o love_n be_v pleasant_a than_o wine_n even_o all_o earthly_a comfort_n if_o it_o be_v he_o alone_a who_o our_o soul_n love_v if_o we_o take_v delight_n and_o sit_v down_o under_o his_o shadow_n cant._n 2._o 3._o then_o will_v he_o set_v we_o as_o signet_n upon_o his_o hand_n and_o as_o seal_n upon_o his_o heart_n he_o will_v bring_v we_o into_o the_o marriage_n chamber_n and_o call_v we_o his_o love_n his_o dove_n and_o his_o spouse_n love_n shall_v be_v his_o banner_n over_o we_o this_o fruit_n shall_v be_v sweet_a to_o our_o mouth_n and_o we_o shall_v be_v no_o long_o then_o but_o one_o flesh_n and_o one_o spirit_n now_o if_o this_o great_a affiance_n which_o work_v dedication_n resignation_n and_o so_o a_o application_n of_o proceed_v to_o our_o will_n and_o affection_n and_o make_v way_n to_o the_o bottom_n of_o our_o heart_n that_o christ_n may_v enter_v just_a as_o far_o even_o to_o the_o bottom_n for_o as_o far_o as_o this_o faith_n enter_v so_o far_o christ_n follow_v and_o as_o far_o as_o christ_n enter_v happiness_n follow_v therefore_o let_v not_o thy_o faith_n leave_v enter_v until_o it_o have_v make_v make_v room_n enough_o for_o christ_n to_o take_v up_o his_o full_a rest_n in_o thou_o it_o seem_v that_o the_o understanding_n be_v but_o the_o porch_n but_o the_o will_v attend_v with_o the_o affection_n for_o they_o while_o they_o be_v here_o nor_o whether_o there_o be_v any_o other_o place_n for_o they_o when_o they_o depart_v hence_o these_o for_o the_o most_o part_n do_v what_o they_o see_v do_v or_o what_o their_o own_o lust_n will_v have_v do_v and_o so_o have_v spend_v their_o time_n according_a to_o custom_n and_o concupiscence_n they_o live_v to_o no_o purpose_n and_o die_v to_o no_o end_n for_o aught_o they_o know_v a_o second_o sort_n be_v of_o they_o that_o think_v there_o be_v a_o happiness_n and_o a_o way_n to_o it_o and_o which_o be_v more_o they_o think_v they_o have_v it_o yet_o all_o the_o while_o they_o go_v without_o it_o even_o for_o this_o reason_n because_o they_o think_v they_o have_v it_o for_o not_o have_v it_o by_o their_o belief_n that_o they_o have_v it_o they_o cease_v from_o seek_v and_o so_o from_o find_v of_o that_o which_o may_v only_o be_v find_v by_o seek_v a_o three_o sort_n be_v of_o such_o as_o think_v it_o enough_o to_o come_v within_o the_o reach_n of_o happiness_n but_o care_v not_o much_o to_o fasten_v it_o or_o to_o increase_v it_o but_o please_v themselves_o in_o look_v on_o it_o or_o only_o in_o a_o little_a taste_n of_o it_o it_o be_v good_a to_o be_v happy_a they_o think_v but_o it_o be_v not_o good_a to_o be_v too_o happy_a and_o therefore_o they_o will_v glad_o traffic_v some_o superstuous_a happi_n nesse_n for_o a_o little_a folly_n and_o vanity_n to_o all_o these_o which_o be_v almost_o all_o be_v the_o chief_a part_n of_o this_o treatise_n direct_v as_o nail_n to_o drive_v out_o nail_n even_o rule_v of_o light_n and_o bliss_n to_o drive_v out_o the_o usual_a and_o receive_v rule_n of_o darkness_n and_o misery_n and_o to_o stand_v fast_o in_o their_o room_n of_o these_o and_o the_o like_a direction_n let_v wretched_a and_o ignorant_a mankind_n lie_v hold_v as_o upon_o board_n &_o mast_n in_o this_o great_a shipwreck_n of_o nature_n let_v they_o by_o such_o help_n lift_v up_o their_o head_n above_o be_v natural_o every_o man_n desire_n he_o must_v find_v out_o and_o propose_v to_o himself_o a_o end_n which_o be_v good_a and_o towards_o this_o end_n must_v so_o strive_v that_o he_o may_v continual_o draw_v near_o to_o it_o until_o he_o have_v attain_a it_o and_o he_o must_v grow_v in_o the_o degree_n of_o enjoy_v when_o he_o have_v attain_a he_o that_o propose_v no_o mark_n nor_o main_n end_v to_o himself_o can_v never_o increase_v himself_o but_o be_v a_o man_n lose_v and_o come_v to_o nothing_o such_o a_o one_o be_v like_o a_o ship_n that_o aim_v at_o no_o harbour_n and_o perfect_o happy_a and_o the_o more_o happy_a in_o degree_n as_o in_o more_o degree_n he_o do_v enjoy_v it_o but_o amid_o the_o infinite_a change_n of_o thing_n seem_o good_a how_o shall_v man_n find_v out_o that_o one_o thing_n which_o be_v true_o and_o perfect_o good_a it_o be_v indeed_o a_o impression_n of_o man_n nature_n to_o seek_v for_o good_a but_o the_o corruption_n of_o the_o same_o nature_n be_v such_o that_o it_o make_v every_o thing_n seem_v good_a to_o itself_o which_o itself_o though_o false_o apprehend_v to_o be_v good_a and_o so_o hence_o it_o come_v that_o many_o man_n run_v a_o unsatisfy_a course_n through_o diverse_a change_n of_o thing_n seem_o good_a and_o most_o man_n choose_v the_o less_o good_a for_o the_o better_a good_a yea_o the_o most_o evil_a for_o the_o most_o good_a but_o he_o that_o will_v serious_o inquire_v for_o true_a happiness_n must_v in_o his_o inquiry_n lie_v aside_o his_o body_n and_o the_o doctrine_n thereof_o and_o he_o must_v retire_v into_o his_o innermost_a and_o most_o secret_a closet_n of_o light_n and_o reason_n and_o there_o ask_v of_o his_o soul_n assure_v truth_n and_o resolution_n concern_v his_o chief_a and_o sovereign_a good_n yea_o because_o the_o darkness_n of_o a_o heavy_a and_o sensual_a body_n since_o the_o fall_n subject_a to_o corruption_n have_v much_o dim_v the_o light_n of_o the_o soul_n she_o have_v need_n to_o return_v to_o that_o uppermost_a light_n by_o which_o at_o first_o she_o be_v kindle_v thence_o to_o receive_v a_o second_o enlighten_v that_o by_o a_o addition_n of_o the_o high_a light_n she_o may_v find_v out_o her_o high_a &_o chief_a happiness_n the_o soul_n thus_o rectify_v labour_n and_o in_o some_o measure_n attain_v to_o behold_v thing_n in_o their_o truth_n as_o also_o to_o see_v the_o difference_n of_o thing_n confound_v or_o misorder_a by_o the_o ignorance_n of_o corruption_n and_o to_o place_v each_o thing_n in_o his_o due_a rank_n and_o consequent_o the_o chief_a and_o sovereign_a good_a far_o above_o all_o as_o indeed_o to_o the_o eye_n of_o wisdom_n it_o shine_v in_o a_o notable_a and_o manifest_a supereminence_n and_o as_o she_o give_v due_a acknowledgement_n to_o this_o good_a be_v discover_v so_o she_o call_v aloud_o to_o the_o will_n and_o affection_n to_o strive_v towards_o it_o be_v know_v and_o acknowledge_v she_o advise_v they_o to_o set_v up_o their_o rest_n upon_o it_o to_o adventure_v all_o for_o it_o and_o never_o to_o leave_v labour_v until_o the_o soul_n and_o happiness_n be_v join_v together_o chap._n ii_o how_o that_o must_v be_v condition_v which_o be_v the_o end_n and_o happiness_n of_o man._n now_o if_o with_o such_o wise_a searcher_n of_o felicity_n we_o shall_v make_v the_o like_a enquiry_n examine_v all_o thing_n in_o their_o weight_n and_o worth_n we_o must_v needs_o meet_v in_o one_o truth_n truth_n be_v but_o one_o even_o a_o common_a centre_n in_o which_o all_o rectify_a understanding_n meet_v the_o more_o wise_a a_o man_n be_v the_o more_o possession_n have_v he_o of_o this_o truth_n and_o therefore_o whosoever_o can_v challenge_v to_o himself_o to_o be_v the_o wise_a of_o man_n he_o must_v also_o be_v the_o large_a discoverer_n of_o happiness_n and_o with_o he_o especial_o shall_v other_o wisdom_n meet_v even_o of_o necessity_n now_o that_o we_o firm_o ground_v our_o discovery_n let_v we_o first_o inquire_v what_o condition_n that_o thing_n must_v have_v which_o shall_v be_v the_o happiness_n of_o man._n that_o which_o shall_v make_v man_n happy_a must_v first_o be_v able_a to_o bestow_v on_o man_n a_o absence_n of_o misery_n for_o happiness_n &_o misery_n can_v dwell_v together_o in_o one_o subject_n again_o it_o must_v give_v a_o man_n a_o real_a possession_n and_o enjoy_n of_o the_o chief_a good_a and_o that_o in_o perpetuity_n &_o everlastingness_n man_n must_v possess_v the_o sovereign_n good_a for_o he_o can_v never_o be_v happy_a by_o enjoy_v imperfection_n but_o that_o only_a which_o be_v perfect_o good_a can_v make_v a_o man_n perfect_o happy_a he_o must_v also_o enjoy_v this_o sovereign_a good_a in_o a_o perpetuity_n else_o the_o fear_n of_o lose_v happiness_n must_v needs_o lose_v part_n of_o it_o before_o it_o be_v lose_v and_o if_o not_o so_o yet_o he_o can_v be_v term_v happy_a who_o shall_v have_v a_o time_n when_o he_o shall_v be_v without_o happiness_n and_o sure_o if_o we_o find_v a_o sovereign_a good_a which_o be_v everlasting_a it_o will_v bestow_v itself_o on_o we_o in_o it_o own_o nature_n even_o everlasting_o last_o the_o beatifical_a object_n of_o man_n must_v be_v the_o most_o agreeable_a object_n of_o his_o most_o excellent_a part_n now_o man_n chief_a part_n be_v a_o lightsome_a reasonable_a and_o understand_v spirit_n therefore_o that_o from_o which_o can_v issue_v unto_o man_n
truth_n which_o usual_o by_o multitude_n be_v most_o forsake_a there_o be_v a_o sure_a say_n that_o a_o competent_a portion_n fit_a to_o defend_v we_o from_o hunger_n and_o nakedness_n that_o be_v a_o measure_n able_a to_o serve_v and_o satisfy_v our_o natural_a use_n have_v attain_a the_o fullness_n of_o the_o substantial_a goodness_n thereof_o we_o be_v travayl_v through_o this_o world_n to_o death_n if_o we_o have_v enough_o to_o bear_v our_o necessary_a charge_n by_o the_o way_n how_o be_v not_o superfluity_n rather_o a_o burden_n then_o a_o comfort_n to_o a_o travayler_n whatsoever_o be_v beyond_o our_o use_n we_o can_v but_o behold_v with_o our_o eye_n or_o put_v a_o vain_a confidence_n in_o it_o which_o often_o have_v deceive_v those_o that_o trust_v in_o it_o for_o even_o that_o which_o they_o have_v put_v their_o trust_n in_o have_v be_v the_o same_o thing_n that_o have_v betray_v they_o therefore_o it_o be_v fit_a that_o care_n and_o fear_n as_o common_o they_o do_v shall_v accompany_v abundance_n as_o well_o as_o pride_n and_o confidence_n and_o if_o so_o then_o what_o a_o motley_n and_o minggled_a happiness_n arise_v from_o a_o doubtful_a and_o careful_a superfluity_n and_o sure_o very_o common_o and_o very_o just_o the_o owner_n of_o this_o excess_n be_v call_v miserable_a for_o beside_o that_o it_o often_o deliver_v they_o up_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o misery_n it_o make_v they_o most_o wretched_a in_o themselves_o because_o most_o wretched_a to_o themselves_o there_o be_v a_o beastly_a kindred_n between_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n &_o money_n and_o this_o kindred_n beget_v such_o a_o love_n that_o the_o heart_n will_v go_v near_o to_o starve_v itself_o before_o it_o will_v part_v from_o its_o most_o belove_a object_n yea_o money_n beget_v the_o love_n of_o money_n and_o stir_v up_o the_o affection_n in_o such_o a_o vehemency_n towards_o it_o that_o pos_fw-mi session_n do_v inflame_v the_o desire_n and_o not_o satisfy_v it_o now_o what_o can_v give_v rest_n to_o such_o a_o miserable_a soul_n when_o obtain_n which_o in_o other_o thing_n give_v some_o though_o short_a satisfaction_n yet_o to_o this_o man_n it_o give_v new_a appetite_n far_a motion_n &_o a_o long_a business_n yet_o this_o abundance_n thus_o bring_v forth_o by_o the_o midwifery_a of_o torment_n and_o perplexity_n many_o time_n fly_v away_o like_o a_o eagle_n by_o the_o follow_a generation_n folly_n or_o luxury_n and_o this_o certain_o be_v a_o great_a vanity_n and_o wretchedness_n of_o riches_n that_o they_o be_v so_o often_o leave_v to_o a_o foolish_a son_n who_o be_v less_o kin_n to_o a_o true_a wise_a man_n than_o a_o honest_a stranger_n that_o sometime_o they_o be_v leave_v to_o a_o son_n that_o be_v no_o son_n and_o sometime_o leave_v and_o there_o be_v not_o a_o second_o to_o enjoy_v they_o howsoever_o leave_v they_o must_v be_v even_o all_o thing_n wherein_o thou_o have_v show_v thyself_o wise_a and_o industrious_a and_o that_o to_o some_o who_o labour_v not_o in_o they_o to_o some_o who_o thou_o know_v not_o after_o two_o or_o three_o generation_n &_o therefore_o know_v not_o whether_o they_o shall_v be_v wise_a or_o foolish_a whether_o they_o shall_v perform_v thy_o purpose_n and_o desire_n with_o thy_o substance_n yea_o whether_o they_o shall_v turn_v it_o into_o the_o price_n of_o a_o whore_n or_o a_o dog_n which_o both_o be_v a_o abomination_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o wisdom_n but_o if_o riches_n may_v escape_v all_o this_o succeed_a misery_n yet_o be_v not_o the_o present_a possessor_n of_o they_o happy_a the_o common_a misery_n of_o man_n lay_v claim_v to_o all_o and_o will_v not_o be_v buy_v out_o by_o riches_n therefore_o the_o rich_a man_n shall_v meet_v with_o cross_n &_o loss_n in_o friend_n or_o estate_n he_o shall_v be_v sick_a in_o mind_n and_o sick_a in_o body_n yea_o fullness_n itself_o shall_v make_v he_o sick_a in_o both_o and_o if_o he_o may_v escape_v all_o this_o yet_o riches_n which_o be_v the_o servant_n of_o his_o body_n can_v make_v his_o soul_n happy_a which_o be_v better_o than_o the_o body_n for_o far_o be_v it_o from_o the_o soul_n to_o find_v her_o happiness_n in_o her_o servant_n servant_n especial_o such_o a_o fugitive_a vagabond_n &_o uncertain_a servant_n these_o massy_a and_o gross_a riches_n be_v too_o course_n a_o object_n for_o a_o pure_a and_o spiritual_a essence_n they_o carry_v no_o likeness_n or_o proportion_n unto_o it_o and_o therefore_o can_v give_v the_o soul_n no_o addition_n of_o her_o natural_a pleasure_n or_o profit_n much_o less_o of_o her_o perfect_a happiness_n wherein_o she_o must_v have_v a_o part_n so_o far_o great_a than_o the_o body_n as_o she_o be_v more_o excellent_a than_o it_o chap._n v._o of_o knowledge_n but_o some_o moral_a vizard_n will_v tell_v i_o that_o knowledge_n have_v some_o high_a privilege_n above_o misery_n and_o such_o a_o one_o as_o can_v give_v happiness_n to_o this_o in_o spite_n of_o it_o unhappy_a life_n indeed_o knowledge_n be_v a_o dim_a light_n which_o be_v better_o than_o very_a darkness_n it_o have_v a_o excellency_n as_o dawn_v above_o night_n but_o though_o it_o be_v better_a it_o be_v not_o that_o chief_a good_a which_o can_v make_v we_o happy_a it_o may_v indeed_o be_v use_v as_o a_o instrument_n for_o the_o discovery_n of_o happiness_n though_o seldom_o it_o be_v put_v to_o that_o use_n but_o in_o itself_o neither_o in_o any_o thing_n create_v shall_v it_o ever_o be_v able_a to_o discover_v it_o yea_o rather_o it_o shall_v find_v in_o itself_o and_o in_o all_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n many_o imperfection_n and_o fayling_n of_o those_o just_a condition_n absolute_o necessary_a to_o be_v find_v in_o man_n sovereign_a good_a our_o knowledge_n be_v but_o of_o a_o short_a reach_n the_o thing_n beyond_o it_o be_v infinite_o more_o than_o the_o thing_n on_o this_o side_n of_o it_o therefore_o when_o knowledge_n be_v come_v to_o a_o suppose_a perfection_n a_o special_a quality_n of_o it_o be_v to_o know_v itself_o to_o be_v imperfect_a even_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v within_o the_o compass_n of_o it_o it_o search_v by_o piecemeal_o part_n after_o part_n as_o one_o that_o read_v a_o great_a volume_n in_o the_o dark_a with_o a_o glow-worm_n which_o show_v he_o but_o letter_n after_o letter_n so_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o trouble_n go_v to_o a_o very_a little_a profit_n hence_o be_v our_o science_n but_o many_o little_n piece_v together_o while_o the_o great_a body_n of_o truth_n &_o wisdom_n stand_v beyond_o our_o sight_n and_o by_o the_o incomprehensiblenesse_n thereof_o accuse_v our_o knowledge_n even_o to_o itself_o of_o weakness_n as_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o sun_n do_v our_o eye_n by_o dazzle_v knowledge_n usual_o take_v up_o aforehand_o evil_n to_o come_v and_o make_v they_o present_a hence_o it_o be_v that_o many_o learned_a philosopher_n have_v vex_v their_o life_n with_o the_o consideration_n of_o their_o death_n which_o many_o ignorant_a and_o sturdy_a clown_n without_o premeditation_n have_v under-taken_a with_o more_o ease_n as_o miss_v the_o trouble_n of_o anticipation_n &_o have_v dispatch_v with_o less_o business_n and_o wrestle_v as_o be_v hood-winked_n with_o a_o blind_a contentment_n to_o do_v as_o their_o father_n have_v do_v before_o they_o for_o this_o cause_n also_o some_o of_o our_o great_a knower_n have_v wink_v against_o knowledge_n and_o have_v desire_v that_o ignorance_n shall_v cozen_v they_o of_o their_o grief_n to_o which_o knowledge_n will_v continual_o and_o loud_o awake_v they_o sure_o when_o the_o knowledge_n of_o man_n have_v discover_v throughout_o this_o frame_n of_o the_o world_n a_o excellent_a wisdom_n and_o order_n when_o it_o see_v that_o there_o be_v a_o excellent_a beauty_n in_o the_o face_n of_o goodness_n yea_o some_o excellence_n in_o knowledge_n itself_o how_o must_v not_o this_o need_v torment_v the_o heart_n of_o the_o knower_n while_o the_o same_o knowledge_n see_v also_o the_o action_n of_o mankind_n to_o run_v so_o mad_o and_o confuse_o while_o it_o see_v justice_n or_o at_o least_o power_n tread_v upon_o the_o face_n of_o goodness_n and_o exalt_v wickedness_n while_o it_o see_v a_o undistinguish_a chance_n to_o come_v unto_o all_o and_o final_o while_o knowledge_n see_v knowledge_n despise_v and_o yet_o not_o able_a to_o help_v itself_o not_o any_o of_o those_o evil_n which_o it_o see_v certain_o these_o thing_n be_v a_o vexation_n of_o mind_n to_o the_o man_n

look_v unto_o god_n and_o this_o lust_n sit_v itself_o as_o god_n in_o this_o temple_n of_o god_n when_o this_o fruit_n be_v eat_v the_o understanding_n will_n and_o affection_n be_v to_o be_v manage_v by_o lust_n yea_o even_o the_o whole_a soul_n and_o body_n of_o man_n and_o that_o must_v be_v good_a or_o evil_n which_o lust_n approove_v or_o dislike_v god_n must_v be_v no_o long_o the_o happiness_n of_o man_n neither_o the_o absence_n or_o opposition_n of_o god_n the_o misery_n of_o man_n god_n must_v be_v no_o long_o the_o pattern_n of_o man_n obedience_n neither_o shall_v man_n care_n to_o walk_v with_o god_n unto_o god_n nor_o to_o decline_v from_o the_o evil_a of_o suffer_v by_o decline_v from_o the_o evil_a of_o do_v but_o lust_n that_o bestride_v the_o soul_n and_o body_n frame_v up_o new_a happiness_n &_o new_a misery_n even_o new_a good_a and_o evil_a to_o which_o the_o action_n of_o man_n must_v be_v whole_o level_v even_o to_o avoid_v the_o evil_a and_o to_o obtain_v the_o good_a and_o this_o must_v be_v do_v with_o such_o authority_n that_o the_o preciseness_n of_o the_o former_a course_n which_o fit_v all_o action_n to_o the_o rule_n of_o in_o these_o so_o in_o infinite_a other_o thing_n appear_v man_n mistake_v of_o good_a and_o evil_a even_o the_o good_a of_o

be_v mighty_o glorify_v and_o man_n glory_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n great_o increase_v for_o god_n glory_n must_v needs_o be_v great_a when_o by_o a_o little_a seed_n of_o the_o spirit_n he_o manage_v steer_v and_o guide_v man_n through_o a_o mass_n of_o corruption_n and_o a_o throng_n of_o outward_a evil_n into_o a_o port_n of_o blessedness_n the_o lesser_a the_o mean_n and_o the_o bitter_a conflict_n and_o a_o difficult_a combat_n the_o more_o be_v the_o present_a labour_n the_o more_o shall_v be_v the_o future_a joy_n the_o hardness_n of_o the_o victory_n shall_v increase_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o triumph_n and_o opposition_n itself_o shall_v become_v our_o advancement_n according_o the_o great_a seeker_n which_o common_o be_v the_o great_a finder_n of_o happiness_n be_v usual_o place_v in_o the_o forefront_n of_o the_o battle_n against_o the_o thick_a press_n of_o remain_v evil_n and_o the_o push_n of_o most_o fierce_a and_o fiery_a temptation_n and_o sure_o while_o they_o suffer_v present_a evil_n for_o future_a glory_n while_o they_o fight_v fearful_a conflict_n against_o remain_a corruption_n and_o the_o king_n thereof_o that_o they_o may_v not_o impair_v their_o future_a joy_n as_o thereby_o they_o preserve_v and_o increase_v these_o joy_n so_o be_v they_o herald_n and_o proclaymer_n of_o the_o exceed_a happiness_n of_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n they_o be_v the_o witness_n of_o god_n to_o the_o world_n that_o this_o world_n be_v nothing_o comparable_a to_o the_o next_o and_o that_o neither_o the_o misery_n nor_o felicity_n of_o it_o be_v any_o way_n equal_a to_o that_o transcendent_a joy_n which_o be_v to_o come_v final_o when_o corruption_n over-master_n we_o the_o sufficience_n of_o god_n grace_n do_v relieve_v we_o forgiveness_n supply_v or_o cover_v the_o defect_n of_o infirmity_n but_o yet_o man_n be_v not_o quiet_a he_o be_v not_o in_o good_a like_n with_o this_o kind_n of_o happiness_n for_o he_o complain_v yet_o in_o some_o saint_n have_v it_o be_v so_o fervent_a that_o they_o have_v send_v challenge_n to_o death_n in_o strong_a desire_n to_o be_v dissolve_v and_o will_v have_v build_v tabernacle_n in_o this_o spiritual_a blessedness_n but_o when_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o the_o great_a day_n shall_v have_v full_o purge_v our_o soul_n and_o body_n with_o that_o divine_a fire_n and_o refine_v our_o grossness_n corruption_n and_o dross_n then_o to_o we_o make_v full_o spiritual_a shall_v the_o most_o high_a &_o sovereign_a spirit_n be_v the_o chief_a and_o sovereign_a good_a for_o man_n be_v make_v spiritual_a shall_v delight_v in_o spirit_n &_o chief_o in_o the_o chief_a and_o then_o these_o gross_a pleasure_n desire_v now_o by_o gross_a lust_n shall_v be_v loathsome_a and_o contemptible_a as_o too_o base_a for_o so_o pure_a &_o divine_a essence_n wherefore_o if_o we_o will_v take_v pleasure_n in_o thing_n of_o excellence_n we_o must_v strive_v to_o raise_v ourselves_o to_o their_o excellent_a degree_n we_o must_v lift_v ourselves_o up_o to_o a_o nature_n proportionable_a unto_o they_o and_o by_o such_o a_o indenour_n we_o shall_v purchase_v a_o high_a station_n and_o a_o high_a happiness_n whereas_o otherwise_o we_o lie_v down_o base_o in_o our_o own_o dregs_n &_o complain_v like_o owl_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o sun_n when_o the_o fault_n be_v in_o our_o own_o eye_n wherefore_o let_v this_o be_v the_o most_o commendable_a ambition_n of_o a_o truly-noble_a and_o generous_a spirit_n to_o advance_v his_o mind_n to_o a_o purity_n and_o excellence_n proportionable_a to_o a_o supereminent_a object_n and_o happiness_n and_o be_v it_o repute_v the_o quality_n of_o a_o base_a worthless_a and_o muddy_a thing_n to_o bring_v down_o happiness_n to_o his_o low_a grovel_v and_o gross_a desire_n and_o when_o he_o can_v do_v so_o to_o accuse_v it_o to_o the_o second_o who_o be_v trouble_v so_o much_o with_o the_o delay_n of_o payment_n and_o the_o defer_v of_o happiness_n for_o a_o answer_n i_o will_v ask_v he_o how_o long_o he_o will_v willing_o stay_v to_o be_v heir_n of_o a_o crown_n here_o if_o i_o may_v speak_v for_o he_o i_o think_v he_o will_v confess_v that_o he_o will_v be_v content_v if_o he_o may_v have_v it_o but_o seven_o year_n before_o his_o death_n now_o i_o will_v desire_v he_o to_o stay_v but_o seven_o year_n more_o and_o then_o he_o shall_v have_v this_o crown_n that_o far_o excel_v the_o other_o and_o to_o comfort_v he_o in_o this_o odds_n of_o expectation_n i_o can_v tell_v he_o that_o those_o who_o have_v know_v
