another_o world_n pray_v consider_v it_o a_o little_a by_o delay_n the_o soul_n lose_v much_o sweet_a communion_n with_o christ_n and_o many_o a_o bless_a communication_n of_o love_n from_o he_o which_o he_o may_v enjoy_v the_o soon_o we_o fall_v upon_o the_o work_n of_o heaven_n and_o eternity_n the_o soon_o we_o come_v to_o a_o taste_n and_o beginning_n of_o heaven_n and_o a_o bless_a eternity_n in_o our_o soul_n o_o the_o sweet_a embrace_n brace_n the_o bless_a discovery_n the_o glorious_a income_n of_o love_n and_o delight_n that_o the_o soul_n lose_v by_o his_o delay_n to_o get_v into_o christ_n and_o to_o walk_v with_o god_n and_o to_o mind_n eternal_a concernment_n poor_a soul_n by_o thy_o delay_n thou_o have_v live_v upon_o husk_n and_o swill_n all_o thy_o day_n hitherto_o whereas_o thou_o may_v have_v eat_v bread_n in_o thy_o father_n house_n and_o drink_v wine_n new_a in_o thy_o father_n kingdom_n thou_o have_v live_v on_o the_o muddy_a dungy_a drossy_a delight_n of_o fin_n and_o the_o creature_n whereas_o thou_o may_v have_v solace_v and_o delight_v thy_o soul_n with_o those_o crystal_n stream_n of_o undefiled_a pleasure_n which_o be_v at_o christ_n and_o the_o father_n right_a hand_n beside_o by_o delay_n the_o work_n of_o thy_o soul_n grow_v more_o difficult_a hereby_o corruption_n grow_v more_o strong_a and_o the_o heart_n grow_v more_o hard_a by_o every_o day_n delay_n the_o old_a enmity_n strengthen_v itself_o and_o the_o soul_n be_v more_o and_o more_o settle_a upon_o its_o lees_n for_o accustomedness_n in_o sin_v harden_v the_o heart_n in_o sin_n as_o be_v hint_v jer._n 13.23_o every_o day_n the_o soul_n be_v more_o alienate_v from_o christ_n and_o harden_v against_o he_o at_o best_a if_o thy_o soul_n do_v at_o last_o come_v to_o late_o it_o will_v be_v apt_a to_o conclude_v that_o now_o thy_o day_n be_v over_o and_o now_o christ_n will_v have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o thou_o oh_o why_o shall_v thou_o be_v such_o a_o enemy_n to_o thy_o own_o soul_n as_o to_o run_v it_o upon_o these_o disadvantage_n rather_o avoid_v they_o by_o fall_v present_o upon_o soul-work_n four_o confider_v the_o sinfulness_n of_o delay_n and_o the_o horrible_a guilt_n they_o bring_v upon_o the_o soul_n as_o delay_n be_v dangerous_a and_o disadvantageous_a so_o they_o be_v sinful_a too_o exceed_v sinful_a and_o provoke_v to_o the_o god_n of_o heaven_n the_o truth_n be_v be_v there_o no_o danger_n in_o they_o no_o disadvantage_n by_o they_o to_o the_o soul_n yet_o the_o sinfulness_n of_o they_o be_v such_o as_o shall_v make_v we_o afraid_a of_o they_o in_o every_o day_n delay_v to_o mind_n and_o pursue_v soul-work_n there_o be_v positive_a rebellion_n and_o disobedience_n to_o the_o will_n and_o command_n of_o god_n for_o the_o command_n be_v to_o day_n if_o you_o will-hear_a his_o voice_n harden_v not_o your_o heart_n heb._n 3.7_o 8._o by_o delay_v therefore_o thou_o rebelle_v against_o the_o command_n in_o every_o day_n delay_n to_o mind_n and_o pursue_v soul-work_n there_o be_v horrible_a unkindness_n and_o ingratitude_n to_o god_n and_o christ_n which_o sure_o be_v a_o black_a sin_n and_o bring_v great_a and_o indeed_o such_o a_o eye_n we_o shall_v have_v upon_o they_o we_o must_v have_v upon_o they_o if_o we_o mean_v to_o be_v christian_n indeed_o grace_n will_v teach_v a_o man_n not_o only_o to_o oppose_v the_o act_n of_o sin_n and_o to_o watch_v against_o the_o reign_n of_o any_o heart-lust_n but_o also_o to_o oppose_v the_o very_a first_o motion_n and_o rise_n of_o sin_n in_o the_o soul_n and_o the_o more_o you_o do_v this_o the_o better_a posture_n you_o be_v in_o for_o a_o die_a hour_n chap._n ix_o a_o further_a direction_n in_o order_n to_o a_o complete_a preparation_n for_o death_n understand_v this_o you_o must_v know_v that_o there_o be_v some_o high_a and_o more_o noble_a strain_n of_o grace_n than_o ordinary_a strain_n of_o grace_n that_o carry_v a_o peculiar_a glory_n and_o excellency_n in_o they_o and_o do_v in_o a_o eminent_a manner_n delight_v the_o heart_n of_o god_n indeed_o every_o strain_n of_o grace_n even_o the_o least_o and_o low_a have_v a_o beauty_n and_o glory_n in_o it_o and_o be_v a_o pleasure_n to_o god_n heart_n the_o least_o dram_n of_o godly_a sorrow_n the_o least_o holy_a awe_n of_o god_n and_o tremble_v at_o his_o word_n the_o least_o breathe_v of_o love_n and_o desire_v towards_o he_o the_o least_o lean_v upon_o he_o in_o a_o way_n of_o hope_n and_o dependence_n oh_o it_o have_v a_o great_a glory_n in_o it_o and_o be_v a_o choice_n and_o eminent_a strain_n and_o act_n of_o grace_n that_o be_v above_o the_o ordinary_a rate_n and_o do_v peculiar_o delight_v the_o heart_n of_o god_n and_o bring_v honour_n to_o he_o and_o the_o more_o you_o come_v up_o to_o these_o and_o live_v under_o the_o power_n of_o these_o the_o more_o ready_a posture_n you_o be_v in_o for_o a_o die_a hour_n grace_n be_v the_o begin_n of_o from_o all_o and_o sit_v loose_a from_o all_o and_o have_v keep_v up_o their_o communion_n with_o god_n place_v the_o whole_a rest_n and_o happiness_n of_o their_o soul_n therein_o some_o such_o i_o say_v we_o read_v of_o in_o scripture_n but_o true_o there_o be_v but_o very_o few_o and_o indeed_o it_o be_v both_o a_o rare_a and_o a_o difficult_a thing_n for_o a_o soul_n thus_o to_o do_v these_o although_o adversity_n break_v many_o yet_o prosperity_n and_o a_o fullness_n of_o enjoyment_n kill_v many_o more_o and_o how_o rare_a a_o man_n be_v that_o who_o in_o prosperity_n do_v not_o at_o least_o a_o little_a in_o some_o degree_n or_o other_o let_v down_o his_o watch_n and_o remit_v his_o strictness_n and_o exactness_n in_o walk_v david_n be_v a_o wise_a man_n and_o solomon_n be_v a_o same_o time_n see_v a_o fullness_n and_o sufficiency_n of_o all_o good_a and_o happiness_n in_o a_o naked_a god_n and_o naked_a godliness_n and_o according_o to_o live_v upon_o he_o and_o rest_v
