scripture_n and_o word_n of_o god_n which_o the_o church_n declare_v to_o we_o to_o be_v such_o and_o though_o it_o be_v speak_v by_o the_o mouth_n of_o man_n we_o ●et_o do_v embrace_v it_o for_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o we_o do_v no_o les●●_n believe_v that_o evangelist_n or_o prophet_n who_o write_v that_o which_o he_o do_v not_o see_v then_o he_o that_o write_v what_o he_o see_v for_o our_o faith_n do_v not_o cast_v her_o eye_n upon_o humane_a testimony_n which_o rest_v upon_o mean_n that_o be_v humane_a but_o upon_o this_o that_o god_n inspire_v such_o a_o evangelist_n or_o prophet_n to_o write_v the_o truth_n and_o that_o god_n assist_v he_o that_o so_o he_o may_v not_o be_v deceyve_v in_o what_o he_o write_v certain_a it_o be_v that_o although_o s._n peter_n with_o his_o own_o ear_n do_v hear_v that_o voice_n of_o the_o father_n which_o he_o sound_v forth_o in_o mount_n thabor_n this_o be_v my_o wellbeloved_a son_n and_o who_o with_o his_o own_o eye_n see_v christ_n jesus_n shine_v as_o bright_o as_o the_o sun_n yet_o if_o we_o shall_v consider_v he_o but_o as_o a_o man_n give_v testimony_n of_o what_o he_o see_v and_o hear_v more_o firmness_n and_o certainty_n have_v the_o scripture_n or_o speech_n of_o the_o prophet_n who_o give_v testimony_n of_o christ_n jesus_n to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n although_o they_o neither_o see_v nor_o hear_v he_o ever_o with_o their_o corporal_a eye_n and_o ear_n then_o that_o which_o s._n peter_n say_v by_o what_o he_o have_v both_o hear_v and_o see_v but_o wel●_n but_o note_v this_o wel●_n since_o the_o letter_n of_o s._n peter_n wherein_o this_o be_v write_v be_v declare_v by_o the_o church_n to_o be_v divine_a scripture_n and_o so_o by_o consequence_n that_o whatsoever_o he_o say_v therein_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n it_o be_v certain_a that_o god_n assist_v he_o in_o say_v it_o and_o assist_v he_o so_o as_o that_o he_o may_v not_o be_v deceive_v in_o what_o he_o either_o hear_v or_o see_v upon_o mount_n tha●or_n nor_o in_o that_o which_o he_o write_v when_o he_o recount_v what_o have_v pass_v there_o and_o thus_o the_o word_n of_o the_o prophet_n be_v not_o more_o firm_a or_o certain_a because_o he_o or_o they_o do_v utter_v they_o but_o because_o they_o speak_v by_o the_o instinct_n of_o the_o same_o holy_a ghost_n who_o be_v truth_n itself_o this_o habitual_a faith_n god_n infuse_v into_o the_o soul_n of_o child_n when_o they_o be_v baptize_v and_o into_o person_n of_o discretion_n who_o want_v it_o he_o infuse_v both_o habitual_a faith_n and_o actual_a when_o they_o dispose_v themselves_o to_o rece●●e_v it_o for_o he_o desire_v that_o all_o shall_v be_v save_v and_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o this_o truth_n since_o without_o it_o god_n can_v be_v please_v nor_o man_n be_v save_v he_o fail_v not_o to_o give_v it_o to_o every_o one_o if_o there_o be_v no_o fault_n in_o he_o chap._n xliv_o that_o we_o must_v give_v our_o lord_n great_a thanks_o for_o the_o gift_n of_o faith_n and_o that_o we_o must_v use_v it_o to_o the_o end_n for_o which_o it_o be_v give_v in_o such_o sort_n as_o that_o we_o attribute_v not_o that_o to_o it_o which_o it_o have_v not_o and_o what_o both_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o be_v it_o be_v much_o reason_n o_o thou_o child_n of_o christ_n that_o all_o we_o who_o be_v christian_n be_v most_o cordial_o thankful_a to_o our_o lord_n who_o out_o of_o his_o grace_n bestow_v this_o benefit_n of_o faith_n upon_o we_o whereby_o we_o may_v be_v grateful_a to_o he_o nor_o must_v we_o suffer_v a_o day_n to_o pass_v without_o confess_v this_o faith_n at_o the_o least_o in_o the_o morning_n and_o evening_n and_o without_o give_v he_o particular_a thanks_n for_o this_o benefit_n we_o must_v procure_v to_o conserve_v it_o in_o great_a sincerity_n and_o purity_n as_o a_o thing_n which_o import_v we_o much_o consider_v to_o what_o end_n it_o be_v give_v we_o both_o that_o we_o may_v not_o fail_v to_o use_v it_o for_o that_o which_o it_o be_v &_o that_o we_o attribute_v not_o that_o to_o it_o which_o it_o have_v not_o it_o be_v give_v we_o to_o the_o end_n that_o we_o may_v believe_v that_o which_o god_n command_v we_o to_o believe_v and_o that_o it_o may_v be_v a_o light_n of_o knowledge_n which_o may_v help_v to_o move_v our_o will_n towards_o the_o love_a of_o god_n and_o the_o keep_n of_o his_o commandment_n whereby_o a_o man_n may_v be_v save_v but_o if_o any_o one_o will_v attribute_v to_o this_o faith_n that_o by_o it_o soul_n it_o a_o grievous_a error_n it_o be_v to_o hold_v that_o say_v alone_o will_v save_v our_o soul_n alone_o we_o arrive_v to_o have_v justice_n and_o pardon_v of_o our_o sin_n he_o shall_v fall_v into_o a_o import_n a_o note_v this_o discourse_n very_o well_o for_o it_o do_v much_o import_n grievous_a error_n as_o they_o have_v do_v who_o do_v affirm_v it_o because_o as_o already_o have_v be_v say_v by_o the_o authority_n of_o s._n paul_n no_o man_n can_v say_v that_o jesus_n be_v our_o lord_n but_o by_o inspiration_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n whereby_o it_o be_v to_o be_v understand_v that_o the_o same_o inspiration_n be_v requisite_a to_o believe_v all_o the_o other_o mystery_n of_o our_o faith_n and_o we_o know_v that_o our_o lord_n say_v to_o some_o of_o they_o who_o hear_v he_o why_o do_v you_o call_v i_o lord_n lord_n and_o do_v not_o the_o thing_n that_o i_o command_v you_o now_o since_o they_o can_v so_o much_o as_o call_v
