2._o overmuch_o labour_n in_o their_o calling_n be_v it_o not_o just_a with_o god_n that_o they_o who_o spend_v too_o much_o pain_n upon_o their_o own_o calling_n shall_v spend_v too_o little_a upon_o his_o service_n too_o much_o upon_o their_o body_n and_o too_o little_a upon_o their_o soul_n 3._o heartless_a worship_n of_o god_n when_o man_n bring_v god_n a_o body_n only_o and_o take_v no_o care_n to_o bring_v the_o soul_n it_o be_v just_a with_o god_n they_o shall_v not_o give_v so_o much_o as_o a_o body_n but_o rather_o sleep_v 4._o pride_n in_o spiritual_a ability_n be_v it_o not_o just_a with_o god_n that_o they_o who_o be_v conceit_v of_o strength_n shall_v express_v weakness_n as_o they_o do_v that_o sleep_n and_o shall_v we_o think_v the_o devil_n have_v his_o hand_n out_o of_o this_o sleep_v it_o be_v sure_a we_o oppose_v he_o in_o god_n service_n more_o than_o elsewhere_o therefore_o he_o will_v oppose_v we_o most_o he_o help_v man_n to_o over-weary_a themselves_o in_o the_o week_n whereby_o they_o be_v unfit_a for_o the_o sabbath_n he_o help_v they_o to_o choose_v the_o saturday_n night_n to_o spend_v till_o late_o in_o trivial_a occasion_n for_o ordinary_o of_o all_o day_n in_o the_o week_n man_n choose_v saturday_n night_n and_o sabbath_n night_n for_o occasion_n of_o least_o moment_n the_o worst_a choose_a time_n in_o tâ—e_v week_n for_o saturday_n night_n they_o shall_v be_v prepare_v themselves_o and_o sabbath_n night_n consider_v how_o they_o have_v spend_v the_o sabbath_n a_o sign_n the_o devil_n hand_n be_v in_o the_o choice_n he_o suggest_v unto_o man_n that_o there_o be_v no_o benefit_n in_o watch_v no_o danger_n in_o sleep_v he_o help_v man_n that_o be_v natural_o heavy_a to_o settle_v themselves_o easy_o to_o hang_v down_o their_o head_n and_o shut_v their_o eye_n as_o furtherance_n he_o can_v if_o god_n permit_v cast_v a_o heaviness_n upon_o a_o man_n he_o be_v compare_v to_o the_o fowl_n that_o pick_v up_o the_o seed_n and_o be_v not_o this_o our_o way_n shut_n up_o the_o soul_n by_o sleep_n stop_v the_o ear_n quest_n how_o do_v sleep_n hinder_v our_o earnest_n worship_v of_o god_n ans_fw-fr we_o need_v not_o go_v far_o to_o know_v that_o sense_n and_o experience_n do_v teach_v every_o man_n the_o nature_n of_o sleep_n do_v answer_v this_o question_n why_o be_v death_n compare_v to_o sleep_n but_o because_o they_o agree_v in_o something_n a_o sleep_a man_n have_v no_o more_o use_n of_o his_o sense_n then_o a_o dead_a man_n they_o be_v for_o the_o time_n bind_v up_o and_o suspend_v from_o their_o use_n if_o a_o man_n be_v in_o a_o fast_a sleep_n so_o that_o he_o can_v worship_v god_n at_o all_o for_o though_o the_o soul_n be_v able_a to_o worship_n god_n without_o the_o body_n as_o appear_v by_o the_o work_n of_o the_o fancy_n in_o sleep_n and_o the_o separation_n of_o the_o soul_n from_o the_o body_n in_o heaven_n yet_o in_o those_o duty_n wherein_o the_o soul_n must_v be_v help_v by_o the_o body_n as_o in_o all_o outward_a worship_n with_o other_o it_o can_v worship_v god_n if_o the_o body_n be_v asleep_a for_o herein_o the_o soul_n be_v direct_v by_o the_o eye_n and_o by_o the_o ear_n what_o part_n of_o worship_n to_o set_v about_o when_o to_o begin_v and_o when_o to_o make_v a_o end_n what_o order_n and_o decorum_n to_o keep_v for_o in_o public_a duty_n we_o be_v so_o to_o worship_n god_n as_o not_o only_a god_n may_v be_v glorify_v by_o we_o and_o we_o better_v in_o our_o soul_n but_o also_o other_o may_v be_v edify_v in_o their_o worship_v of_o god_n which_o they_o can_v be_v by_o the_o work_n of_o our_o soul_n any_o far_a than_o they_o appear_v and_o break_v out_o in_o our_o body_n the_o action_n whereof_o do_v flow_v into_o the_o eye_n and_o ear_n of_o other_o if_o our_o sleep_n be_v not_o fast_o but_o rather_o a_o slumber_a a_o drowsiness_n and_o heaviness_n our_o service_n of_o god_n be_v mar_v for_o our_o body_n be_v unto_o our_o soul_n in_o of_o hear_v pray_v sing_a be_v like_a unto_o that_o man_n in_o a_o dream_n speak_v of_o isa_n 29.8_o he_o dream_v he_o be_v eat_v and_o behold_v he_o awake_v and_o be_v hungry_a he_o dream_v he_o be_v drink_v and_o behold_v he_o awake_v and_o be_v thirsty_a so_o man_n think_v they_o pray_v but_o when_o they_o a_o wake_v they_o know_v not_o what_o be_v pray_v they_o think_v they_o hear_v but_o when_o they_o awake_v they_o know_v not_o what_o be_v speak_v use_v the_o application_n of_o this_o point_n shall_v be_v first_o to_o they_o who_o god_n help_v against_o this_o sin_n of_o sleep_v in_o labour_a diligent_a christian_a they_o that_o think_v it_o no_o easy_a matter_n to_o serve_v god_n well_o it_o be_v a_o ill_a thing_n for_o a_o soul_n to_o be_v trouble_v at_o the_o approach_n of_o the_o sabbath_n because_o of_o its_o own_o unfitness_n but_o it_o be_v a_o good_a sign_n that_o the_o soul_n apprehend_v some_o difficulty_n in_o keep_v a_o sabbath_n well_o 2._o to_o condemn_v this_o make_v their_o soul_n weak_a and_o so_o weary_a of_o the_o duty_n when_o moses_n chod_n with_o aaron_n and_o his_o son_n levit._n 10.17_o to_o the_o end_n because_o they_o have_v not_o eat_v the_o what_o the_o body_n delight_v in_o the_o soul_n do_v in_o measure_n delight_n in_o and_o what_o the_o body_n be_v weary_a of_o the_o soul_n will_v in_o measure_n be_v weary_a of_o 2._o as_o it_o do_v express_v and_o act_v the_o weariness_n of_o the_o soul_n by_o reason_n of_o sin_n for_o so_o the_o weariness_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v increase_v and_o the_o contrary_a strength_n of_o the_o soul_n desire_n and_o delight_n weaken_v 3._o as_o it_o be_v a_o unfit_a instrument_n to_o express_v the_o desire_n and_o delight_n of_o the_o soul_n if_o those_o affection_n may_v not_o be_v express_v they_o will_v decay_v and_o weaken_v 4._o as_o by_o the_o eye_n and_o ear_n it_o do_v let_v in_o new_a object_n of_o delight_n the_o soul_n by_o sin_n be_v new_a fangle_a will_v entertain_v they_o and_o so_o grow_v weary_a of_o former_a delight_n the_o soul_n do_v express_v its_o weariness_n 1._o by_o let_v loose_a thought_n and_o affection_n it_o will_v not_o keep_v they_o bind_v but_o suffer_v they_o to_o wander_v about_o for_o refreshment_n 2._o in_o think_v the_o service_n hard_o painful_a grievous_a 3._o in_o think_v the_o time_n long_o that_o be_v spend_v therein_o wish_v the_o complaint_n of_o the_o body_n i._n q._n the_o soul_n may_v deceive_v we_o thereby_o we_o may_v rather_o suspect_v the_o complaint_n of_o the_o body_n in_o god_n worship_n and_o trust_v they_o else_o where_o for_o the_o soul_n be_v more_o apt_a to_o be_v weary_a in_o god_n worship_n and_o less_o weary_a in_o other_o work_n and_o the_o body_n be_v more_o apt_a to_o be_v weary_a in_o other_o work_n
