the_o second_o thing_n that_o we_o have_v to_o mark_v be_v that_o all_o other_o secondary_a mean_n whereby_o in_o the_o scripture_n we_o be_v say_v to_o be_v make_v son_n or_o justify_v etc._n etc._n as_o namely_o the_o gospel_n preach_v the_o sacrament_n &_o faith_n be_v no_o way_n to_o be_v esteem_v mean_n simple_o in_o respect_n of_o themselves_o but_o only_o by_o relation_n and_o reference_n to_o christ_n in_o and_o by_o they_o reveal_v offer_v and_o receyve_v which_o be_v most_o evident_a by_o the_o description_n aforesaid_a of_o predestination_n in_o the_o which_o nothing_o save_v christ_n alone_o be_v set_v down_o to_o be_v the_o mean_a whereby_o god_n ordain_v we_o to_o be_v adopt_v so_o that_o it_o be_v not_o the_o word_n but_o christ_n reveal_v by_o the_o word_n neither_o the_o sacrament_n but_o christ_n signify_v by_o the_o sacrament_n nor_o faith_n but_o christ_n receyve_v by_o faith_n which_o in_o proper_a sense_n make_v we_o son_n and_o justify_v us._n they_o only_o by_o consequence_n and_o mediate_o be_v say_v in_o scripture_n to_o make_v we_o son_n and_o justify_v we_o etc._n etc._n because_o they_o be_v the_o mean_n appoint_v of_o god_n whereby_o we_o christ_n only_o who_o be_v ordain_v of_o god_n the_o mean_a of_o all_o his_o mercy_n to_o mankind_n he_o come_v in_o as_o mediator_n between_o god_n &_o we_o in_o all_o thing_n decree_v of_o god_n neither_o faith_n nor_o hope_v in_o he_o of_o any_o blessing_n whatsoever_o whereof_o he_o do_v not_o first_o reveyle_n unto_o we_o a_o clear_a ground_n and_o evident_a foundation_n in_o jesus_n christ_n the_o son_n and_o therefore_o it_o may_v appear_v how_o detestable_a a_o doctrine_n that_o be_v and_o execrable_a be_v the_o teacher_n of_o it_o that_o affirm_v that_o a_o man_n may_v be_v save_v without_o the_o knowledge_n of_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n thus_o by_o all_o these_o phrase_n concern_v faith_n the_o lord_n will_v teach_v we_o that_o christ_n be_v the_o matter_n and_o he_o be_v the_o ground_n of_o all_o whatsoever_o we_o believe_v and_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o in_o christ_n which_o be_v not_o make_v we_o by_o faith_n and_o for_o this_o same_o purpose_n in_o scripture_n it_o be_v sometime_o call_v the_o faith_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n rom._n chap._n 3._o ver_fw-la 25._o and_o that_o to_o teach_v we_o what_o be_v the_o particular_a thing_n in_o christ_n wherein_o god_n have_v make_v he_o our_o righteousness_n and_o whereby_o the_o lord_n will_v have_v we_o to_o believe_v remission_n of_o sin_n in_o he_o for_o albeit_o christ_n be_v uno_fw-la we_o all_o and_o that_o in_o all_o thing_n and_o do_v fill_v we_o all_o in_o all_o thing_n yet_o as_o we_o have_v mark_v before_o there_o be_v no_o benefit_n which_o we_o apprehend_v by_o faith_n in_o christ_n but_o it_o have_v the_o own_o particular_a ground_n and_o foundation_n whereupon_o it_o be_v build_v and_o therefore_o as_o his_o faith_n be_v but_o vain_a who_o expect_v his_o resurrection_n in_o christ_n if_o he_o do_v not_o know_v christ_n to_o be_v rise_v again_o so_o his_o faith_n must_v be_v vain_a who_o believe_v the_o remission_n of_o sin_n in_o christ_n and_o yet_o know_v not_o that_o christ_n do_v shed_v his_o blood_n express_o for_o his_o iniquity_n for_o as_o god_n beget_v we_o to_o the_o hope_n of_o life_n by_o the_o resurrection_n of_o jese_n from_o the_o dead_a so_o
