will_v be_v well_o for_o we_o therefore_o that_o we_o examine_v and_o prove_v ourselves_o as_o the_o apostle_n require_v we_o shall_v lest_o we_o deceive_v ourselves_o for_o ever_o when_o we_o take_v up_o with_o that_o which_o be_v counterfeit_a and_o insincere_a we_o be_v easy_o persuade_v to_o do_v this_o when_o our_o estate_n or_o life_n be_v concern_v in_o that_o case_n we_o love_v to_o take_v 19.12_o and_o as_o we_o must_v confess_v our_o sin_n so_o we_o must_v also_o confess_v the_o degree_n and_o the_o aggravation_n of_o they_o for_o these_o do_v great_o enhance_v our_o guilt_n and_o may_v very_o lawful_o communicate_v with_o those_o who_o be_v yet_o very_o unfit_a to_o communicate_v themselves_o and_o when_o the_o apostle_n 1_o cor._n 11._o blame_v those_o who_o do_v not_o communicate_v as_o they_o shall_v do_v yet_o he_o do_v not_o blame_v either_o those_o who_o minister_v to_o they_o or_o those_o that_o do_v communicate_v with_o they_o and_o therefore_o those_o that_o do_v receive_v this_o sacrament_n ought_v to_o be_v very_o severe_a in_o the_o examination_n of_o themselves_o they_o may_v be_v such_o who_o we_o can_v lawful_o exclude_v nor_o yet_o can_v you_o lawful_o separate_v from_o they_o and_o yet_o not_o be_v such_o as_o god_n will_v accept_v and_o therefore_o such_o man_n ought_v not_o to_o think_v themselves_o fit_a because_o the_o minister_n of_o we_o will_v take_v severe_a account_n of_o ourselves_o and_o conduct_v our_o repentance_n by_o the_o continual_a advice_n and_o ministry_n of_o a_o spiritual_a guide_n for_o by_o this_o alone_a or_o principal_o as_o a_o very_a excellent_a person_n tell_v we_o be_v the_o primitive_a piety_n and_o repentance_n advance_v to_o the_o excellency_n which_o we_o often_o admire_v but_o seldom_o imitate_v and_o the_o event_n will_v be_v that_o beside_o we_o shall_v be_v guide_v in_o the_o way_n of_o holiness_n in_o general_n we_o shall_v be_v at_o peace_n as_o to_o the_o time_n and_o manner_n of_o receive_v the_o holy_a sacrament_n __o and_o we_o shall_v not_o so_o frequent_o feel_v the_o effect_n of_o the_o divine_a anger_n upon_o our_o person_n as_o a_o reproach_n of_o our_o folly_n &_o thepunishment_n of_o ourunworthy_a receive_v the_o divine_a mystery_n and_o this_o say_v he_o be_v earnest_o advise_v and_o press_v upon_o their_o people_n by_o the_o holy_a father_n who_o have_v as_o great_a experience_n in_o their_o conduct_n as_o they_o have_v zeal_n for_o the_o good_a of_o soul_n four_o there_o be_v other_o who_o do_v grant_v it_o to_o be_v their_o duty_n to_o receive_v but_o yet_o notwithstanding_o refuse_v to_o do_v it_o and_o that_o because_o they_o may_v not_o be_v admit_v to_o do_v it_o after_o such_o a_o manner_n as_o they_o will_v and_o as_o they_o think_v they_o ought_v to_o do_v it_o and_o perhaps_o these_o man_n do_v particular_o except_v against_o kneel_v when_o they_o do_v receive_v it_o and_o because_o this_o be_v require_v by_o the_o law_n and_o they_o not_o put_v the_o objector_n upon_o prove_v either_o what_o the_o posture_n be_v or_o that_o it_o be_v not_o that_o of_o kneel_v in_o which_o the_o disciple_n do_v receive_v this_o sacrament_n with_o our_o lord_n but_o i_o will_v suppose_v that_o they_o do_v not_o kneel_v but_o that_o they_o use_v that_o gesture_n which_o be_v common_o use_v at_o their_o meal_n that_o be_v that_o they_o do_v lie_v along_o upon_o bed_n which_o be_v say_v to_o be_v the_o gesture_n use_v at_o meal_n in_o those_o time_n and_o in_o that_o place_n yet_o i_o shall_v show_v notwithstanding_o this_o that_o we_o may_v not_o refuse_v to_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n upon_o our_o knee_n for_o 1._o it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v think_v that_o we_o be_v more_o oblige_v to_o follow_v the_o example_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n in_o their_o gesture_n which_o be_v but_o a_o circumstance_n of_o a_o action_n than_o we_o be_v in_o the_o other_o circumstance_n of_o time_n 3._o vid._n dr._n sanderson_n de_fw-fr of_o time_n and_o place_n and_o habit_n and_o think_v it_o no_o sin_n to_o do_v it_o and_o be_v therefore_o by_o the_o same_o reason_n at_o liberty_n in_o the_o other_o our_o saviour_n give_v the_o sacrament_n in_o a_o private_a house_n and_o in_o a_o upper_a room_n he_o give_v it_o also_o in_o the_o evening_n and_o after_o supper_n and_o when_o he_o give_v it_o he_o give_v it_o in_o a_o coat_n without_o a_o seam_n yet_o for_o all_o this_o these_o man_n that_o make_v this_o objection_n do_v not_o in_o these_o thing_n follow_v the_o example_n of_o christ_n nor_o yet_o require_v other_o man_n to_o do_v it_o i_o know_v no_o reason_n can_v be_v give_v why_o we_o be_v not_o as_o much_o oblige_v to_o one_o circumstance_n as_o another_o it_o be_v not_o certain_o to_o be_v believe_v that_o we_o shall_v be_v only_o oblige_v to_o the_o posture_n and_o not_o also_o to_o the_o time_n and_o place_n if_o we_o must_v do_v it_o in_o the_o same_o gesture_n why_o do_v we_o not_o also_o do_v it_o at_o the_o same_o time_n and_o place_n and_o if_o we_o use_v our_o liberty_n in_o the_o time_n and_o place_n it_o be_v strange_a we_o shall_v make_v so_o great_a a_o stir_n about_o the_o gesture_n 2._o it_o be_v very_o certain_a that_o if_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o disciple_n do_v lie_v along_o upon_o bed_n when_o this_o sacrament_n be_v institute_v that_o who_o ever_o do_v sit_v or_o stand_v when_o he_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n do_v deviate_v from_o christ_n example_n as_o well_o as_o he_o that_o kneel_v for_o none_o of_o these_o be_v the_o gesture_n which_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o disciple_n be_v suppose_v to_o have_v use_v and_o if_o on_o behalf_n of_o sit_v it_o be_v plead_v that_o that_o be_v our_o table-gesture_n aught_o to_o succeed_v to_o that_o which_o our_o saviour_n use_v i_o answer_v 1._o that_o we_o be_v not_o by_o any_o law_n of_o christ_n forbid_v to_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n unless_o we_o can_v receive_v it_o in_o such_o a_o gesture_n as_o be_v common_o use_v by_o man_n at_o their_o table_n nor_o have_v we_o any_o such_o command_n that_o do_v oblige_v we_o to_o use_v any_o certain_a gesture_n 2._o that_o then_o it_o must_v be_v
