a_o little_a corruption_n a_o little_a yield_v unto_o the_o fashion_n of_o the_o world_n can_v do_v so_o much_o harm_n that_o too_o much_o strictness_n and_o preciseness_n be_v naught_o and_o that_o to_o stand_v so_o much_o upon_o purity_n and_o sincerity_n be_v but_o to_o make_v ourselves_o the_o talk_n and_o mock_v and_o byword_n of_o the_o people_n thus_o we_o will_v be_v moderater_n over_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o when_o he_o seem_v unto_o we_o to_o overreach_v we_o will_v bring_v he_o to_o the_o measure_n of_o our_o own_o scantling_n but_o belove_a let_v we_o not_o deceive_v preach_v of_o his_o gospel_n and_o not_o themselves_o or_o any_o else_o whosoever_o for_o from_o their_o lip_n you_o shall_v receive_v knowledge_n and_o instruction_n and_o by_o their_o mouth_n you_o that_o you_o more_o approve_v of_o such_o as_o serve_v that_o man_n of_o sin_n in_o seduce_v you_o by_o tradition_n then_o of_o such_o as_o serve_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o apostle_n you_o know_v make_v mention_n of_o some_o bad_a one_o it_o be_v easy_a to_o guess_v who_o at_o this_o day_n do_v most_o resemble_v they_o 3.6_o 2_o tim_n 3.6_o which_o creep_v into_o house_n and_o lead_v captive_a simple_a woman_n lade_v with_o sin_n and_o lead_v with_o diverse_a lust_n etc._n etc._n and_o our_o saviour_n likewise_o make_v mention_n of_o such_o as_o compass_v some_o when_o the_o preacher_n begin_v make_v a_o end_n of_o their_o devotion_n and_o leave_v the_o house_n of_o god_n go_v to_o their_o own_o house_n have_v they_o any_o exception_n against_o we_o do_v we_o teach_v for_o doctrine_n man_n precept_n do_v we_o handle_v the_o word_n deceitful_o do_v we_o keep_v back_o any_o of_o god_n counsel_n nay_o in_o all_o these_o thing_n as_o in_o the_o whole_a work_n of_o our_o ministry_n we_o study_v to_o approve_v ourselves_o both_o before_o the_o lord_n and_o before_o man_n a_o exception_n they_o have_v but_o almost_o they_o know_v not_o what_o the_o truth_n be_v they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o try_v the_o spirit_n whether_o they_o be_v of_o god_n and_o therefore_o they_o approve_v they_o which_o prophecy_n lie_v unto_o they_o out_o of_o their_o own_o brain_n but_o you_o belove_v learn_v to_o know_v and_o approve_v he_o who_o give_v plain_a proof_n that_o he_o serve_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o gospel_n in_o the_o sincere_a and_o faithful_a preach_v thereof_o yea_o but_o you_o will_v say_v unto_o i_o we_o will_v glad_o approve_v they_o that_o serve_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o gospel_n but_o how_o shall_v we_o know_v who_o serve_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o gospel_n for_o they_o that_o be_v whole_o devote_a unto_o the_o service_n of_o that_o man_n of_o sin_n and_o prophecy_n lie_v out_o of_o their_o own_o brain_n will_v say_v that_o they_o serve_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o gospel_n aswell_o as_o they_o will_v which_o sincere_o preach_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n jesus_n unto_o the_o confusion_n of_o that_o man_n of_o sin_n note_v therefore_o that_o the_o apostle_n in_o this_o place_n do_v not_o simple_o say_v of_o timothy_n that_o he_o serve_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o gospel_n but_o that_o he_o serve_v with_o he_o in_o the_o gospel_n wherein_o he_o give_v he_o this_o testimony_n that_o he_o do_v sincere_o teach_v christ_n jesus_n preach_v no_o other_o gospel_n then_o that_o which_o the_o apostle_n himself_o preach_v but_o walk_v in_o the_o same_o step_n with_o he_o unto_o the_o build_n of_o the_o spiritual_a temple_n of_o christ_n jesus_n even_o as_o he_o have_v he_o for_o example_n will_v you_o then_o know_v who_o they_o be_v that_o serve_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o gospel_n even_o they_o that_o serve_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o gospel_n with_o paul_n they_o that_o preach_v no_o other_o gospel_n than_o paul_n preach_v they_o which_o ground_n the_o doctrine_n which_o they_o teach_v not_o upon_o man_n precept_n but_o upon_o the_o sure_a foundation_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n try_v therefore_o we_o shall_v give_v unto_o they_o that_o portion_n which_o be_v due_a unto_o they_o for_o their_o maintenance_n and_o this_o we_o shall_v do_v with_o all_o cheerfulness_n as_o unto_o the_o use_v if_o any_o thing_n of_o his_o due_a may_v be_v conceal_v and_o keep_v from_o he_o it_o be_v think_v to_o be_v very_o well_o save_v and_o better_a so_o save_v then_o ill_o spend_v for_o so_o common_o they_o account_v of_o that_o which_o they_o give_v unto_o the_o minister_n albeit_o it_o be_v not_o they_o but_o he_o which_o they_o give_v far_o otherwise_o then_o it_o be_v in_o the_o time_n of_o great_a ignorance_n and_o blind_a superstition_n for_o than_o they_o think_v they_o can_v not_o give_v enough_o unto_o their_o massing_n priest_n and_o now_o they_o think_v they_o can_v pull_v enough_o away_o from_o the_o teach_a minister_n then_o they_o think_v every_o penny_n better_o bestow_v then_o other_o upon_o their_o confessor_n now_o they_o think_v every_o penny_n worse_o bestow_v than_o other_o upon_o their_o pastor_n but_o it_o be_v no_o new_a thing_n to_o see_v blind_a devotion_n sometime_o to_o carry_v man_n further_o than_o do_v sound_a and_o sincere_a religion_n infirmity_n of_o epaphroditus_n his_o sickness_n likewise_o you_o see_v how_o plain_a testimony_n the_o apostle_n give_v in_o this_o place_n nay_o what_o child_n of_o god_n free_v or_o exempt_v from_o look_v unto_o such_o hot_a ague_n unto_o such_o sharp_a and_o strange_a and_o pestilential_a disease_n and_o sickness_n as_o be_v now_o general_o among_o we_o and_o see_v whether_o he_o have_v not_o begin_v to_o do_v with_o we_o as_o he_o threaten_v in_o his_o law_n sure_o for_o our_o sin_n even_o because_o we_o have_v not_o obey_v his_o voice_n and_o do_v after_o his_o commandment_n he_o have_v take_v his_o rod_n and_o already_o begin_v thus_o to_o punish_v we_o therewith_o and_o this_o rod_n of_o his_o wrath_n as_o we_o ourselves_o may_v see_v he_o do_v lay_v even_o upon_o his_o own_o child_n and_o faithful_a servant_n aswell_o as_o he_o do_v upon_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a of_o the_o earth_n but_o yet_o with_o this_o difference_n upon_o the_o ungodly_a he_o lay_v this_o rod_n of_o his_o wrath_n in_o wrath_n and_o displeasure_n to_o render_v unto_o they_o according_a to_o the_o wickedness_n of_o their_o way_n the_o same_o rod_n also_o he_o lay_v upon_o his_o child_n thereof_o enrage_v they_o against_o god_n so_o that_o in_o their_o sickness_n they_o be_v not_o only_o with_o out_o all_o comfort_n and_o patience_n but_o like_v unto_o curse_a cain_n they_o cry_v my_o sickness_n be_v great_a than_o i_o be_o able_a to_o bear_v why_o be_o i_o thus_o what_o a_o severe_a judge_n be_v this_o that_o lie_v his_o hand_n so_o heavy_o upon_o i_o the_o same_o rod_n thunder_n and_o in_o lightning_n to_o denounce_v the_o threaten_n of_o the_o law_n and_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n mouth_n against_o all_o ungodliness_n and_o iniquity_n and_o to_o lay_v the_o axe_n unto_o the_o very_a root_n of_o the_o tree_n to_o strike_v and_o wound_n and_o to_o kill_v sin_n if_o it_o be_v possible_a again_o when_o the_o soul_n be_v afflict_v and_o bring_v low_o through_o any_o plague_n or_o trouble_v when_o the_o sorrowful_a heart_n shrink_v in_o the_o way_n and_o groan_v under_o the_o burden_n of_o his_o sin_n when_o man_n begin_v to_o loath_a and_o detest_v those_o wicked_a way_n wherein_o they_o have_v walk_v and_o to_o long_o and_o thirst_v after_o the_o thing_n that_o belong_v unto_o their_o peace_n than_o it_o be_v as_o a_o time_n to_o come_v in_o the_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n to_o speak_v comfortable_o unto_o the_o heart_n to_o raise_v up_o they_o that_o be_v fall_v with_o all_o kind_a speech_n and_o in_o all_o love_a manner_n to_o lead_v they_o on_o a_o long_a beside_o the_o water_n of_o comfort_n as_o therefore_o the_o time_n do_v require_v so_o we_o come_v with_o a_o rod_n or_o in_o the_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n and_o because_o common_o in_o our_o congregation_n there_o be_v both_o some_o such_o as_o need_v to_o be_v wound_v and_o again_o some_o such_o as_o need_v to_o be_v heal_v therefore_o it_o be_v that_o in_o our_o sermon_n we_o do_v both_o sharp_o reprove_v and_o mild_o exhort_v the_o sinner_n that_o go_v on_o in_o the_o wickedness_n of_o his_o way_n and_o run_v headlong_o into_o many_o and_o noisome_a lust_n we_o sharp_o reprove_v that_o we_o may_v reclaim_v he_o from_o the_o wickedness_n of_o his_o way_n and_o that_o we_o may_v pull_v he_o as_o a_o brand_n out_o of_o the_o fire_n lest_o he_o shall_v perish_v in_o the_o day_n of_o christ_n but_o such_o as_o be_v grieve_v because_o they_o be_v out_o of_o the_o right_a way_n and_o grope_v after_o it_o if_o happy_o they_o may_v find_v it_o they_o we_o restore_v with_o the_o spirit_n of_o meekness_n we_o pour_v oil_n into_o their_o wound_n with_o all_o mildness_n we_o exhort_v they_o and_o we_o minister_v what_o word_n of_o comfort_n we_o can_v unto_o they_o nay_o whatsoever_o sharpness_n at_o any_o time_n we_o do_v use_v yet_o still_o we_o exhort_v you_o with_o all_o mildness_n whether_o it_o be_v that_o we_o exhort_v you_o to_o continue_v in_o the_o grace_n wherein_o you_o stand_v and_o to_o hold_v fast_o your_o hope_n unto_o the_o end_n or_o to_o turn_v from_o the_o wickedness_n of_o your_o way_n and_o to_o make_v straight_a step_n unto_o your_o foot_n that_o that_o which_o be_v halt_v may_v be_v heal_v and_o if_o the_o heartâ—_n of_o our_o people_n may_v be_v heal_v only_o by_o apply_v gentle_a medicine_n without_o cut_v and_o lance_a their_o sore_n only_o by_o pour_v supply_v oil_n without_o pour_v vinegar_n into_o their_o wound_n why_o shall_v any_o man_n think_v that_o we_o will_v use_v sharpness_n of_o speech_n nay_o it_o will_v be_v our_o soul_n joy_n if_o our_o meditation_n for_o the_o thing_n that_o we_o bring_v unto_o you_o may_v be_v whole_o and_o only_o set_v and_o settle_v on_o the_o sweet_a comfort_n of_o the_o gospel_n that_o all_o our_o speech_n unto_o you_o may_v be_v of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n unto_o we_o in_o christ_n jesus_n our_o desire_n be_v to_o present_v you_o pure_a and_o blameless_a not_o have_v spot_n or_o wrinkle_n or_o any_o such_o thing_n in_o that_o day_n have_v this_o desire_n if_o any_o of_o our_o sheep_n wander_v and_o go_v astray_o bear_v with_o we_o if_o with_o the_o good_a sheep_n hear_v we_o sometime_o use_v the_o hook_n nay_o if_o sometimes_o we_o set_v our_o dog_n after_o they_o &_o pinch_v they_o to_o bring_v they_o in_o again_o but_o above_o all_o thing_n have_v care_n that_o we_o may_v still_o speak_v unto_o you_o as_o unto_o our_o brethren_n son_n of_o one_o father_n with_o we_o child_n of_o one_o womb_n with_o we_o baptize_v by_o one_o spirit_n into_o one_o body_n with_o we_o continue_v in_o one_o fellowship_n of_o god_n saint_n with_o we_o and_o walk_v with_o we_o by_o one_o rule_n in_o the_o same_o way_n unto_o our_o country_n and_o city_n which_o be_v above_o where_o christ_n which_o be_v our_o head_n have_v take_v possession_n for_o us._n let_v we_o walk_v and_o talk_v as_o brethren_n and_o let_v we_o proceed_v nay_o thâ—_n strong_a man_n possess_v we_o in_o such_o peace_n that_o we_o never_o know_v what_o tentation_n mean_v and_o therefore_o we_o know_v not_o where_o to_o live_v better_a than_o here_o we_o regard_v not_o to_o submit_v ourselves_o to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n to_o be_v govern_v by_o they_o and_o therefore_o we_o shrink_v at_o death_n for_o fear_n of_o a_o judgement_n we_o never_o ascend_v into_o heaven_n in_o our_o heart_n or_o soul_n we_o never_o raise_v our_o thought_n our_o desire_n or_o our_o affection_n so_o high_a we_o never_o taste_v in_o ourselves_o any_o sparkle_n of_o those_o joy_n which_o be_v prepare_v to_o be_v show_v in_o the_o last_o time_n and_o therefore_o we_o long_v not_o after_o heaven_n but_o we_o rather_o love_v to_o live_v here_o on_o earth_n these_o be_v the_o thing_n i_o say_v that_o make_v we_o shrink_v at_o death_n and_o loath_a to_o die_v let_v we_o then_o hearken_v unto_o these_o word_n of_o exhortation_n and_o let_v we_o have_v our_o conversation_n in_o heaven_n if_o we_o shall_v then_o shall_v death_n be_v welcome_a unto_o we_o and_o we_o shall_v accept_v it_o as_o the_o end_n of_o our_o pilgrimage_n and_o as_o the_o way_n to_o our_o abide_a city_n jerusalem_n which_o be_v above_o and_o unto_o christ_n which_o be_v our_o life_n for_o the_o more_o we_o ascend_v while_o we_o be_v in_o the_o body_n in_o our_o soul_n and_o spirit_n in_o our_o meditation_n and_o desire_n in_o faith_n and_o hope_n into_o heaven_n the_o more_o will_v we_o desire_v to_o remove_v out_o of_o the_o body_n that_o we_o may_v for_o ever_o dwell_v with_o the_o lord_n and_o therefore_o we_o will_v the_o more_o cheerful_o open_a unto_o death_n when_o he_o knock_v at_o our_o door_n i_o hear_v that_o the_o example_n of_o this_o our_o sister_n may_v be_v a_o good_a provocation_n to_o stir_v you_o up_o unto_o these_o thing_n for_o they_o that_o be_v with_o she_o give_v she_o this_o testimony_n that_o in_o this_o time_n when_o the_o lord_n have_v
