when_o there_o be_v no_o other_o witness_n but_o god_n and_o his_o own_o conscience_n then_o will_v he_o be_v ready_a to_o acknowledge_v his_o sin_n and_o that_o again_o both_o in_o his_o daily_a and_o ordinary_a prayer_n as_o also_o at_o other_o time_n of_o extraordinary_a humiliation_n all_o these_o i_o may_v show_v you_o how_o they_o have_v be_v both_o enjoin_v and_o practise_v enjoin_v by_o god_n and_o practise_v by_o his_o saint_n but_o i_o shall_v not_o dwell_v upon_o this_o the_o text_n lead_v i_o rather_o to_o that_o other_o kind_n of_o acknowledgement_n which_o be_v before_o private_o either_o unto_o the_o private_o minister_n of_o god_n or_o unto_o private_a christian_n viz._n at_o such_o time_n as_o they_o be_v by_o they_o charge_v with_o their_o sin_n and_o in_o a_o friendly_a way_n admonish_v of_o they_o or_o reprove_v for_o they_o in_o this_o case_n for_o i_o speak_v not_o now_o of_o that_o confession_n of_o sin_n which_o be_v after_o a_o sort_n extort_a and_o draw_v from_o a_o man_n by_o or_o through_o trouble_n of_o mind_n and_o conscience_n in_o which_o christian_n not_o only_o may_v but_o aught_o when_o other_o mean_n avail_v not_o to_o repair_v either_o unto_o the_o minister_n of_o god_n as_o most_o fit_a for_o such_o a_o purpose_n be_v his_o interpreter_n or_o else_o to_o some_o wise_a and_o faithful_a friend_n that_o be_v able_a to_o minister_v a_o word_n of_o advice_n and_o comfort_n to_o they_o open_v and_o discover_v their_o sin_n unto_o they_o even_o as_o the_o sick_a man_n do_v his_o secret_a trouble_n to_o his_o physician_n call_v thereunto_o and_o require_v to_o do_v it_o by_o the_o discipline_n and_o authority_n of_o the_o church_n thus_o do_v that_o incestuous_a corinthian_a be_v excommunicate_v for_o that_o great_a 7._o 20._o but_o as_o unto_o a_o father_n with_o some_o apprehension_n of_o mercy_n thus_o be_v the_o confession_n of_o a_o true_o penitent_a sinner_n ordinary_o attend_v and_o accompany_v with_o some_o apprehension_n of_o mercy_n i_o say_v either_o with_o the_o present_a sense_n of_o it_o as_o paul_n confession_n here_o be_v to_o which_o he_o subjoin_v but_o i_o obtain_v mercy_n or_o with_o the_o hope_n of_o it_o so_o run_v that_o confession_n which_o shecaniah_n there_o make_v ezra_n 10._o 2._o we_o have_v transgress_v etc._n etc._n yet_o now_o there_o be_v hope_n in_o israel_n
