of_o the_o law_n whereby_o some_o have_v understand_v bare_o the_o ceremony_n as_o circumcision_n the_o wash_n the_o sacrifice_n the_o sprinkeling_n of_o beastâ—â—_n blood_n and_o such_o like_a thing_n and_o there_o be_v some_o show_n thereof_o at_o the_o first_o sight_n because_o that_o the_o founteine_v of_o this_o question_n which_o saint_n paul_n handle_v proceed_v from_o this_o law_n these_o word_n work_n of_o the_o law_n contain_v not_o only_o the_o ceremony_n but_o all_o that_o god_n command_v in_o the_o law_n that_o the_o jew_n will_v be_v circumcise_v and_o observe_v the_o ceremony_n of_o the_o law_n wherefore_o it_o shall_v seem_v by_o this_o that_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o ceremony_n thereof_o but_o they_o import_v as_o we_o &_o such_o like_o be_v command_v of_o god_n yea_o or_o no_o but_o we_o come_v somewhat_o further_o and_o say_v that_o this_o be_v not_o only_o not_o to_o serve_v god_n but_o that_o it_o be_v blasphemy_n to_o say_v so_o we_o see_v then_o that_o when_o man_n will_v speak_v of_o some_o ceremony_n or_o some_o superstitious_a observation_n they_o shall_v come_v to_o the_o general_a rule_n because_o they_o be_v thing_n join_v together_o yea_o thing_n that_o can_v not_o be_v sunder_v so_o much_o also_o be_v there_o to_o be_v say_v concern_v the_o work_v of_o the_o law_n for_o when_o the_o jew_n will_v that_o man_n shall_v observe_v circumcision_n and_o that_o it_o shall_v continual_o abide_v whole_a and_o sound_a that_o proceed_v from_o a_o error_n for_o they_o suppose_v that_o circumcision_n be_v god_n service_n and_o that_o it_o be_v a_o meritorious_a work_n to_o be_v justify_v by_o and_o it_o be_v likely_a that_o they_o hold_v so_o much_o also_o concern_v all_o the_o they_o merit_v nothing_o but_o by_o reason_n and_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o the_o promise_n when_o they_o say_v that_o they_o deserve_v heaven_n through_o god_n grace_n they_o mean_v thereby_o that_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o do_v all_o but_o yet_o sundry_a time_n you_o shall_v have_v they_o speak_v thus_o proud_o that_o they_o merit_v or_o deserve_v the_o whole_a they_o say_v that_o of_o god_n and_o indeed_o there_o be_v never_o yet_o any_o of_o the_o philosopher_n that_o know_v it_o the_o gentile_n very_o and_o pagan_n do_v understande_v that_o they_o be_v all_o sinner_n &_o that_o they_o have_v need_n of_o some_o remedy_n therefore_o they_o have_v their_o sacrifice_n their_o washinge_n and_o perfume_n as_o also_o have_v the_o jew_n but_o what_o they_o also_o stay_v themselves_o upon_o their_o merit_n behold_v then_o why_o s._n paul_n now_o bring_v this_o question_n and_o say_v if_o we_o also_o that_o be_v to_o say_v the_o jew_n for_o this_o word_n also_o weigh_v there_o in_o they_o suppose_v that_o s._n paul_n mean_v to_o say_v thus_o much_o speech_n man_n mouth_n accustom_v to_o wicked_a speech_n that_o if_o we_o be_v find_v sinner_n when_o we_o believe_v in_o jesus_n christ_n it_o follow_v thereon_o that_o jesus_n christ_n have_v not_o bring_v righteousness_n too_o we_o but_o this_o be_v far_o from_o the_o purpose_n as_o we_o may_v easy_o perceive_v by_o the_o answer_n adjoin_v to_o be_v short_a saint_n paul_n mean_v too_o abate_v and_o beat_v down_o in_o this_o place_n that_o blasphemy_n which_o be_v then_o in_o many_o man_n mouth_n that_o be_v to_o say_v that_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n shall_v be_v the_o author_n of_o sin_n if_o that_o the_o jew_n themselves_o shall_v be_v find_v sinner_n when_o they_o believe_v in_o he_o for_o when_o the_o jew_n trust_v in_o their_o ceremony_n and_o satisfaction_n of_o the_o law_n they_o suppose_v indeed_o that_o they_o be_v discharge_v before_o god_n and_o do_v sanctify_v themselves_o as_o we_o see_v also_o that_o isaiah_n attribute_v that_o unto_o hypocrite_n to_o boast_v themselves_o in_o such_o sort_n to_o be_v holy_a that_o they_o suppose_v all_o other_o to_o be_v profane_a pollute_a and_o filthy_a people_n in_o respect_n of_o themselves_o behold_v then_o this_o foolish_a presumption_n wherewith_o the_o jew_n be_v as_o a_o man_n will_v say_v make_v drink_v to_o wit_n evil_a some_o suppose_v themselves_o in_o good_a state_n when_o they_o be_v very_o evil_a that_o in_o not_o come_v at_o all_o too_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n they_o think_v that_o they_o be_v pure_a and_o clean_a from_o all_o sin_n but_o when_o they_o come_v too_o believe_v in_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n than_o they_o unclothe_v themselves_o and_o spoil_v themselves_o of_o all_o regard_n of_o that_o which_o they_o think_v indeed_o to_o belong_v unto_o they_o as_o good_a and_o profitable_a for_o they_o be_v cast_v down_o in_o themselves_o and_o their_o iniquity_n be_v make_v manifest_a which_o before_o be_v hide_v and_o secret_a so_o that_o it_o seem_v that_o this_o promise_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n shall_v be_v vain_a &_o that_o he_o shall_v be_v the_o author_n of_o sin_n but_o saint_n paul_n answer_v be_v it_o never_o so_o detest_a as_o it_o be_v such_o a_o blasphemy_n as_o he_o have_v begin_v to_o speak_v but_o before_o we_o come_v to_o answer_n this_o god_n because_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o govern_v ourselves_o and_o that_o if_o we_o will_v take_v it_o upon_o we_o our_o presumption_n shall_v be_v a_o cause_n to_o make_v every_o one_o of_o we_o
