chap._n xii_o which_o treat_v of_o one_o branch_n of_o the_o first_o inference_n from_o the_o argument_n of_o the_o second_o section_n that_o in_o freedom_n from_o the_o dominion_n of_o corrupt_a affection_n do_v that_o liberty_n principal_o or_o rather_o whole_o consist_v which_o christ_n have_v purchase_v for_o we_o namely_o that_o several_a notion_n of_o christian_a liberty_n which_o have_v too_o much_o prevail_v be_v false_a and_o of_o dangerous_a consequence_n the_o first_o of_o which_o be_v that_o which_o make_v it_o to_o consist_v whole_o or_o in_o part_n in_o freedom_n from_o the_o obligation_n of_o the_o moral_a law_n certain_a text_n urge_v by_o the_o antinomian_o in_o favour_n of_o it_o vindicate_v from_o the_o sense_n they_o put_v upon_o they_o and_o the_o extreme_a and_o the_o present_a lash_n that_o law_n contain_v no_o other_o express_a promise_n or_o threaten_n but_o temporal_a as_o be_v show_v but_o may_v be_v deal_v with_o as_o son_n be_v honourable_o employ_v viz._n in_o such_o service_n as_o be_v of_o the_o most_o excellent_a nature_n and_o do_v recommend_v themselves_o by_o their_o own_o goodness_n and_o agreeableness_n to_o our_o rational_a and_o intellectual_a faculty_n and_o be_v act_v also_o by_o a_o more_o noble_a principle_n viz._n love_n and_o encourage_v by_o a_o infinite_o more_o noble_a reward_n which_o consist_v in_o a_o perfect_a likeness_n to_o god_n and_o a_o everlasting_a enjoyment_n of_o he_o and_o thus_o we_o see_v these_o very_a text_n that_o be_v make_v use_n of_o by_o the_o antinomian_o to_o prove_v this_o mad_a notion_n of_o christian_a liberty_n from_o the_o obligation_n of_o the_o moral_a law_n be_v so_o far_o from_o signify_v any_o thing_n to_o this_o purpose_n that_o they_o give_v manifest_a and_o clear_a proof_n of_o the_o contrary_a as_o they_o be_v far_o from_o assert_v that_o any_o such_o liberty_n as_o this_o belong_v to_o christian_n so_o they_o assure_v we_o that_o no_o such_o liberty_n belong_v to_o they_o tertullian_n have_v a_o good_a say_n to_o our_o present_a purpose_n pudiâ—itia_n the_o yoke_n of_o work_n mean_v the_o drudgery_n of_o the_o ceremonial_a law_n be_v cast_v off_o not_o those_o of_o rule_n to_o walk_v by_o liberty_n in_o christ_n be_v not_o injurious_a to_o innocence_n the_o entire_a law_n of_o piety_n holiness_n humanity_n verity_n chastity_n righteousness_n whether_o it_o be_v to_o the_o king_n as_o supreme_a or_o unto_o governor_n as_o unto_o they_o that_o be_v send_v by_o he_o etc._n etc._n again_o every_o soul_n be_v command_v to_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o high_a power_n because_o there_o be_v no_o power_n but_o of_o god_n the_o power_n that_o be_v be_v ordain_v of_o god_n rom._n 13._o 1_o 2_o etc._n etc._n and_o ver._n 5._o it_o be_v say_v we_o viz._n that_o no_o formal_a obedience_n be_v due_a to_o magistrate_n and_o they_o have_v no_o power_n to_o make_v any_o new_a law_n of_o their_o own_o but_o only_o to_o take_v the_o best_a care_n that_o the_o old_a one_o viz._n the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v observe_v and_o if_o it_o be_v so_o what_o become_v of_o all_o those_o text_n wherein_o obedience_n to_o governor_n be_v with_o such_o strictness_n require_v of_o christian_n this_o opinion_n that_o ruler_n have_v no_o power_n over_o we_o in_o regard_n of_o our_o christian_a liberty_n in_o matter_n of_o a_o indifferent_a nature_n do_v make_v the_o five_o commandment_n and_o all_o those_o injunction_n perfect_o insignificant_a and_o the_o apostle_n may_v well_o have_v spare_v his_o charge_n to_o titus_n to_o put_v those_o under_o his_o care_n in_o mind_n to_o be_v subject_a to_o principality_n and_o power_n to_o obey_v magistrate_n etc._n etc._n tit._n 3._o 1._o this_o monstrous_o wild_a notion_n of_o christian_a liberty_n i_o shall_v not_o have_v take_v thus_o much_o notice_n of_o as_o little_a as_o i_o have_v say_v but_o that_o of_o late_a day_n multitude_n by_o their_o behaviour_n will_v make_v we_o of_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o apostle_n and_o the_o notion_n of_o obedience_n for_o conscience-sake_n seem_v almost_o lose_v among_o not_o a_o few_o which_o be_v one_o of_o the_o great_a sin_n for_o which_o we_o have_v too_o good_a reason_n to_o fear_v there_o be_v a_o heavy_a scourge_n near_o we_o second_o as_o for_o that_o doctrine_n which_o limit_n our_o disobligation_n by_o the_o mean_n of_o christian_a liberty_n from_o the_o law_n of_o man_n that_o impose_v indifferent_a thing_n to_o those_o that_o only_o relate_v to_o religion_n and_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n that_o this_o be_v
