natural_a inclination_n and_o aptitude_n unto_o sin_n there_o be_v several_a other_o thing_n which_o come_v under_o the_o notion_n of_o evil_a but_o yet_o can_v be_v call_v wilful_a act_n but_o mere_a upon_o fermentation_n to_o throw_v out_o boil_v and_o blister_n and_o the_o like_a indeed_o our_o bless_a saviour_n speak_v of_o those_o thing_n which_o come_v forth_o from_o the_o heart_n and_o defile_v a_o man_n mention_v particular_o evil_a thought_n matth._n 15._o 18_o 19_o those_o thing_n which_o proceed_v out_o of_o the_o mouth_n and_o come_v forth_o from_o the_o heart_n they_o defile_v the_o man_n for_o out_o of_o the_o heart_n proceed_v evil_a thought_n etc._n etc._n but_o in_o this_o place_n be_v mean_v not_o those_o indeliberate_a and_o sudden_a start_n of_o the_o mind_n which_o i_o have_v now_o be_v speak_v of_o but_o black_a design_n study_a purpose_n and_o malicious_a contrivance_n of_o the_o heart_n especial_o against_o a_o man_n life_n as_o our_o learned_a paraphra_v have_v very_o right_o loc._n dr._n hammond_n in_o loc._n note_v these_o inward_a motion_n which_o we_o feel_v within_o we_o and_o which_o all_o good_a people_n complain_v of_o as_o long_o as_o they_o be_v bare_a thought_n and_o surprise_v of_o soul_n be_v not_o to_o be_v reckon_v as_o wilful-sin_n nor_o be_v they_o inconsistent_a with_o a_o state_n of_o grace_n and_o salvation_n they_o be_v many_o time_n the_o effect_n of_o a_o disorder_v brain_n and_o of_o a_o body_n distemper_a with_o the_o spleen_n melancholy_a and_o the_o like_a so_o that_o they_o be_v often_o as_o natural_a effect_n of_o a_o affliction_n and_o trouble_v as_o they_o be_v afraid_a of_o they_o before_o hand_n so_o they_o be_v apt_a to_o be_v ruffle_v when_o they_o come_v and_o to_o be_v discompose_v and_o torment_v for_o they_o when_o they_o be_v go_v this_o be_v a_o plain_a argument_n that_o in_o such_o person_n they_o be_v not_o wilful_a sin_n and_o therefore_o they_o do_v not_o defile_v they_o so_o as_o to_o opportunity_n of_o do_v ourselves_o and_o other_o good_a slide_v away_o from_o we_o insensible_o nay_o even_o in_o our_o calling_n to_o which_o common_o we_o sacrifice_v most_o of_o our_o time_n and_o care_n we_o be_v not_o always_o so_o vigilant_a and_o industrious_a but_o that_o we_o may_v deserve_v the_o censure_n of_o some_o negligence_n though_o we_o may_v not_o deserve_v the_o charge_n of_o consideration_n be_v touch_v that_o necessity_n which_o lie_v upon_o we_o to_o eat_v of_o this_o bread_n and_o to_o drink_v of_o this_o cup._n now_o in_o order_n to_o our_o better_a proceed_v upon_o this_o subject_a we_o must_v note_v that_o there_o be_v a_o twofold_a necessity_n which_o relate_v to_o the_o matter_n in_o hand_n 1._o first_o some_o thing_n be_v absolute_o and_o indispensable_o necessary_a because_o they_o be_v the_o fix_a and_o immovable_a condition_n of_o the_o new_a covenant_n without_o the_o performance_n whereof_o salvation_n can_v be_v expect_v by_o we_o so_o to_o believe_v in_o christ_n to_o mortify_v our_o lust_n to_o have_v a_o sanctify_a spirit_n to_o be_v humble_a charitable_a and_o the_o like_a these_o thing_n be_v absolute_o necessary_a for_o without_o faith_n and_o repentance_n and_o entire_a holiness_n of_o heart_n none_o of_o we_o can_v see_v the_o lord_n 2._o second_o some_o thing_n be_v necessary_a respective_o and_o upon_o supposition_n that_o be_v suppose_v that_o there_o be_v some_o command_n for_o they_o though_o they_o be_v not_o necessary_a in_o their_o own_o nature_n but_o be_v require_v chief_o to_o try_v and_o exercise_v man_n obedience_n or_o suppose_v that_o they_o be_v appoint_v as_o certain_a and_o effectual_a mean_n in_o order_n to_o some_o great_a and_o necessary_a end_n and_o as_o instrument_n to_o bring_v we_o those_o mercy_n which_o our_o soul_n stand_v in_o need_n of_o now_o when_o we_o say_v it_o be_v necessary_a to_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n of_o christ_n body_n and_o blood_n the_o meaning_n be_v not_o that_o it_o be_v absolute_o simple_o indispensable_o and_o universal_o necessary_a so_o that_o no_o man_n can_v possible_o be_v save_v without_o it_o for_o no_o rite_n whatsoever_o be_v to_o be_v account_v of_o equal_a moment_n with_o substantial_a morality_n and_o thing_n of_o positive_a institution_n though_o they_o be_v necessary_a in_o their_o kind_a and_o quality_n yet_o they_o be_v not_o necessary_a in_o that_o degree_n as_o those_o thing_n be_v which_o be_v good_a in_o themselves_o and_o which_o carry_v a_o eternal_a reason_n and_o obligation_n along_o with_o they_o in_o some_o this_o be_v evident_a from_o the_o case_n of_o circumcision_n which_o be_v of_o old_a a_o seal_n of_o the_o covenant_n between_o god_n and_o the_o jew_n we_o find_v in_o the_o four_o of_o exodus_fw-la be_v displease_v with_o they_o for_o not_o have_v be_v circumcise_a though_o he_o be_v often_o displease_v with_o they_o for_o their_o infidelity_n the_o same_o thing_n be_v observe_v of_o the_o
