not_o utter_o deprive_v of_o his_o intellectual_n our_o saviour_n gospel_n be_v whole_o level_v at_o the_o mark_n of_o kill_v all_o sort_n of_o sin_n in_o we_o and_o render_v we_o exact_o obedient_a to_o the_o divine_a moral_a and_o also_o all_o innocent_a humane_a law_n let_v i_o speak_v to_o such_o as_o so_o shameful_o abuse_v our_o incomparable_a religion_n as_o to_o take_v liberty_n from_o thence_o to_o be_v in_o any_o kind_a immoral_a in_o the_o word_n of_o s._n paul_n rom._n 2._o 4_o 5._o despise_v thou_o the_o riches_n of_o god_n goodness_n and_o forbearance_n and_o long-suffering_a not_o know_v that_o his_o goodness_n lead_v thou_o or_o design_v the_o lead_n of_o thou_o to_o repentance_n but_o after_o thy_o hardness_n and_o impenitent_a heart_n treasurest_n up_o to_o thyself_o ought_v only_o to_o consist_v in_o reliance_n on_o the_o merit_n of_o

to_o endue_v they_o with_o it_o and_o that_o nothing_o can_v occasion_v the_o contrary_a but_o a_o wilful_a adhere_n to_o some_o one_o or_o other_o immorality_n and_o that_o this_o have_v a_o very_a great_a aptness_n so_o to_o do_v so_o that_o it_o be_v not_o the_o least_o matter_n of_o wonder_n to_o see_v man_n of_o excellent_a wit_n and_o brave_a accomplishment_n either_o fall_n into_o gross_a error_n or_o even_o into_o a_o flat_a disbelief_n of_o the_o christian_a religion_n as_o strange_a as_o this_o may_v seem_v to_o some_o it_o appear_v from_o our_o past_a discourse_n that_o there_o be_v not_o any_o real_a cause_n of_o admiration_n in_o it_o for_o other_o endowment_n of_o as_o excellent_a use_n as_o they_o may_v be_v when_o accompany_v with_o that_o of_o a_o obedient_a temper_n must_v needs_o do_v more_o hurt_n than_o good_a to_o the_o soul_n that_o be_v adorn_v and_o grace_v with_o they_o when_o separate_v from_o it_o and_o occasion_n those_o vice_n that_o may_v well_o praerequisite_a to_o the_o right_a understanding_n of_o evangelical_n truth_n that_o it_o be_v as_o notable_a a_o engine_n as_o the_o grand_a deceiver_n can_v desire_v to_o make_v use_n of_o in_o order_n to_o the_o bring_n about_o his_o mischievous_a design_n upon_o the_o person_n that_o be_v master_n of_o it_o so_o that_o indeed_o it_o be_v on_o the_o contrary_a rather_o matter_n of_o essence_n power_n and_o life_n of_o it_o consist_v viz._n in_o a_o good_a state_n and_o habit_n of_o mind_n in_o a_o holy_a frame_n and_o temper_n of_o soul_n whereby_o it_o esteem_v god_n as_o the_o chief_a good_a prefer_v he_o and_o his_o son_n jesus_n before_o all_o the_o world_n and_o prize_v above_o all_o thing_n a_o interest_n in_o the_o divine_a perfection_n such_o as_o justice_n and_o righteousness_n universal_a charity_n goodness_n mercy_n and_o patience_n and_o all_o kind_n of_o purity_n from_o whence_o do_v natural_o proceed_v a_o hearty_a compliance_n with_o all_o the_o holy_a precept_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o sincere_a endeavour_n to_o perform_v all_o those_o action_n which_o be_v agreeable_a to_o they_o be_v necessary_a expression_n of_o those_o and_o the_o like_a
