the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o the_o content_n thereof_o if_o we_o be_v not_o teach_v from_o above_o that_o be_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n he_o also_o add_v that_o he_o can_v have_v no_o good_a affection_n nor_o desire_n to_o give_v himself_o thereto_o until_o such_o time_n as_o his_o heart_n be_v reform_v the_o law_n of_o god_n may_v seem_v to_o be_v but_o a_o common_a thing_n yea_o we_o ourselves_o do_v see_v that_o the_o proud_a man_n of_o this_o world_n contemn_v it_o as_o a_o thing_n too_o too_o common_a but_o yet_o as_o david_n have_v before_o say_v god_n have_v set_v down_o untoo_o we_o in_o his_o law_n wonderful_a secret_n which_o he_o here_o repete_v not_o in_o vain_a that_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v that_o in_o receive_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n from_o heaven_n he_o shall_v be_v conduct_v to_o the_o end_n to_o follow_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n now_o he_o namely_o say_v that_o i_o will_v keep_v yea_o that_o i_o will_v keep_v it_o with_o my_o whole_a hart_n this_o be_v no_o superfluous_a repetition_n when_o he_o say_v that_o i_o will_v keep_v yea_o that_o i_o will_v keep_v it_o with_o my_o whole_a heart_n for_o behold_v what_o it_o be_v that_o abuse_v a_o great_a number_n of_o man_n so_o that_o they_o can_v be_v reprehend_v by_o man_n that_o their_o life_n be_v not_o so_o dissolute_a as_o that_o they_o may_v be_v point_v at_o and_o be_v not_o themselves_o guilty_a in_o nothing_o for_o this_o cause_n then_o david_n have_v say_v that_o he_o will_v keep_v the_o law_n of_o god_n declare_v that_o it_o be_v not_o so_o common_a a_o thing_n to_o do_v as_o we_o take_v it_o and_o why_o so_o for_o say_v he_o he_o must_v keep_v it_o with_o his_o whole_a heart_n when_o he_o mean_v to_o show_v unto_o we_o what_o the_o good_a keep_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n be_v and_o such_o a_o observation_n as_o god_n require_v of_o we_o it_o be_v not_o only_o mean_v that_o our_o foot_n and_o hand_n shall_v be_v see_v to_o be_v well_o rule_v and_o compass_v that_o our_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n shall_v be_v so_o apparent_a as_o that_o they_o may_v be_v condemn_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o world_n this_o say_v i_o be_v not_o all_o as_o to_o use_v such_o a_o observation_n but_o we_o must_v say_v david_n keep_v the_o law_n of_o god_n with_o our_o whole_a heart_n when_o as_o we_o shall_v be_v never_o so_o little_o affect_v or_o desirous_a thereto_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o worth_a than_o all_o the_o substance_n in_o the_o world_n but_o we_o must_v beware_v that_o we_o have_v not_o a_o double_a heart_n that_o our_o desire_n be_v as_o that_o it_o be_v very_o hard_a too_o hold_v they_o in_o but_o all_o this_o shall_v be_v nothing_o for_o it_o shall_v be_v all_o but_o mere_a hypocrisy_n and_o because_o that_o thou_o have_v respect_n to_o the_o heart_n all_o my_o carnal_a passion_n and_o affection_n must_v be_v pull_v down_o &_o myself_o in_o such_o sort_n renew_v as_o that_o i_o may_v be_v whole_o conform_v unto_o thy_o righreousnes_n alas_o my_o god_n and_o if_o i_o must_v be_v bring_v to_o that_o i_o see_v it_o to_o be_v a_o impossible_a matter_n and_o so_o thou_o must_v needs_o put_v thy_o help_a hand_n unto_o i_o together_o and_o that_o god_n will_v help_v we_o if_o he_o think_v it_o good_a now_o david_n show_v unto_o we_o that_o he_o persevere_v in_o call_v upon_o the_o name_n of_o god_n loe_o here_o the_o four_o point_n which_o we_o have_v to_o note_v in_o this_o place_n to_o the_o end_n that_o every_o of_o we_o may_v discharge_v ourselves_o of_o they_o for_o see_v from_o whence_o we_o must_v learn_v the_o manner_n to_o pray_v well_o to_o wit_n in_o the_o first_o place_n not_o with_o have_v our_o mouth_n go_v but_o we_o must_v lay_v open_a our_o heart_n and_o all_o our_o affection_n before_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n and_o pray_v in_o spiritual_a truth_n and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o we_o must_v also_o be_v inflame_v with_o such_o a_o zeal_n as_o that_o we_o be_v full_o assure_v that_o he_o will_v both_o hear_v and_o help_v us._n and_o for_o performance_n hereof_o we_o must_v be_v touch_v to_o the_o quick_a with_o the_o knowledge_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o know_v that_o our_o estate_n be_v most_o accurse_a if_o god_n have_v not_o pity_n on_o we_o and_o also_o what_o the_o salvation_n be_v which_o he_o have_v promise_v we_o we_o must_v have_v always_o these_o thing_n in_o mind_n to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v be_v the_o more_o careful_a watchful_o to_o call_v upon_o he_o and_o not_o to_o wait_v until_o god_n constrain_v we_o through_o extreme_a necessity_n but_o to_o be_v always_o in_o such_o a_o readiness_n as_o david_n here_o speak_v of_o we_o must_v day_n and_o night_n and_o every_o minute_n be_v occupy_v to_o look_v unto_o god_n and_o too_o call_v upon_o he_o and_o to_o have_v this_o understanding_n with_o we_o that_o whensoever_o any_o of_o we_o shall_v wake_v in_o the_o night_n that_o it_o be_v to_o this_o end_n to_o pour_v out_o some_o sigh_n unto_o our_o good_a god_n for_o our_o sin_n and_o transgression_n and_o also_o when_o as_o we_o shall_v be_v alone_o by_o our_o selue_fw-mi we_o must_v do_v the_o like_o know_v right_a well_o that_o god_n see_v we_o and_o that_o we_o be_v always_o as_o it_o be_v in_o his_o presence_n last_o we_o must_v persevere_v herein_o &_o not_o take_v up_o the_o buckler_n and_o by_o and_o by_o lay_v they_o down_o again_o and_o be_v soon_o weary_v but_o we_o must_v still_o continue_v in_o our_o prayer_n as_o david_n here_o show_v we_o a_o example_n now_o after_o he_o have_v make_v these_o protestation_n he_o go_v on_o and_o say_v that_o after_o he_o shall_v be_v hear_v and_o shall_v have_v obtain_v his_o request_n that_o he_o will_v keep_v the_o testimony_n of_o god_n here_o david_n show_v that_o he_o will_v not_o be_v unthankful_a for_o the_o grace_n which_o be_v bestow_v upon_o he_o and_o this_o be_v a_o point_n which_o ought_v great_o to_o be_v consider_v of_o by_o us._n for_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o god_n so_o easy_o grant_v unto_o we_o whatsoever_o we_o demand_v according_a to_o his_o holy_a will_n that_o he_o so_o love_o intreat_v we_o yea_o that_o his_o hand_n be_v continual_o open_a that_o we_o may_v have_v wherefore_o to_o yield_v he_o our_o hearty_a thanks_n and_o too_o glorify_v he_o let_v we_o then_o learn_v that_o it_o be_v impossible_a for_o we_o right_o to_o pray_v unto_o god_n except_o we_o be_v already_o prepare_v to_o acknowledge_v his_o benefit_n and_o too_o have_v this_o full_a resolute_a mind_n that_o david_n have_v to_o wit_n to_o glorify_v god_n when_o as_o he_o shall_v have_v hear_v our_o prayer_n as_o also_o we_o see_v these_o two_o thing_n to_o go_v together_o in_o another_o place_n where_o it_o be_v say_v call_v upon_o i_o in_o the_o day_n of_o trouble_n and_o i_o will_v deliver_v thou_o and_o thou_o shall_v gorifie_v i_o see_v then_o what_o we_o have_v to_o note_v upon_o this_o say_n where_o david_n say_v that_o he_o will_v keep_v the_o ordinance_n and_o testimony_n of_o god_n but_o we_o be_v to_o consider_v in_o the_o second_o place_n what_o the_o thanks_n be_v which_o god_n require_v of_o we_o after_o he_o have_v holpen_v we_o &_o that_o we_o have_v feel_v his_o goodness_n in_o not_o reject_v our_o prayer_n now_o this_o be_v true_a that_o it_o be_v meet_v that_o the_o mouth_n do_v his_o office_n to_o magnify_v the_o name_n of_o god_n in_o confess_v how_o great_o we_o be_v behold_v unto_o he_o and_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o that_o our_o mouth_n have_v speak_v but_o we_o must_v glorify_v he_o with_o the_o whole_a action_n of_o our_o life_n and_o too_o show_v this_o acknowledgement_n how_o great_o we_o be_v bind_v unto_o he_o in_o serve_v &_o honowr_v he_o in_o all_o and_o through_o all_o david_n then_o in_o the_o sea_n but_o use_v of_o the_o abundance_n &_o store_n which_o god_n have_v give_v he_o yea_o we_o see_v what_o a_o excellent_a and_o beautiful_a house_n he_o have_v as_o the_o holy_a history_n tell_v us._n but_o yet_o he_o follow_v the_o rule_n which_o the_o scripture_n set_v down_o unto_o we_o which_o be_v that_o he_o so_o use_v the_o good_n of_o this_o world_n as_o though_o he_o never_o have_v they_o we_o must_v therefore_o pass_v through_o this_o world_n 7.31_o 1._o cor._n 7.31_o without_o stay_v ourselves_o altogether_o in_o it_o as_o s._n paul_n exhort_v that_o if_o god_n give_v we_o abundance_n of_o riches_n we_o may_v know_v how_o to_o use_v they_o with_o out_o have_v our_o heart_n imprison_v in_o they_o &_o yet_o notwithstanding_o to_o be_v poor_a in_o spirit_n to_o wit_n shall_v have_v set_v our_o heart_n at_o liberty_n to_o wit_n that_o he_o shall_v have_v so_o dispose_v &_o order_v we_o as_o that_o we_o shall_v free_o bend_v ourselves_o &_o sully_v &_o whole_o yield_v our_o affection_n unto_o he_o for_o otherwise_o we_o have_v our_o heart_n fast_o shut_v up_o shall_v always_o become_v the_o bondslave_n of_o sin_n it_o be_v very_o true_a hat_n while_o we_o they_o may_v it_o be_v but_o as_o it_o be_v enforce_v and_o constrain_v because_o he_o be_v their_o judge_n now_o if_o we_o have_v such_o a_o constant_a desire_n as_o we_o term_v it_o that_o we_o be_v enforce_v to_o do_v that_o which_o we_o be_v command_v our_o whole_a case_n be_v little_a worth_n and_o god_n will_v never_o allow_v of_o it_o and_o why_o so_o because_o he_o like_v of_o nothing_o
