and_o drink_v damnation_n or_o judgement_n under_o which_o guilt_n you_o still_o lie_v and_o will_v heap_v up_o more_o of_o this_o guilt_n be_v not_o some_o more_o tender_a of_o your_o soul_n then_o gaze_v up_o and_o down_o that_o it_o be_v easy_a to_o discern_v thou_o regard_v not_o what_o be_v speak_v from_o god_n to_o thou_o and_o the_o same_o in_o prayer_n how_o oft_o have_v thou_o bable_v over_o the_o lord_n prayer_n like_o a_o charm_n with_o no_o reverence_n of_o god_n majesty_n upon_o thy_o soul_n in_o thy_o bed_n it_o may_v be_v in_o a_o drowsy_a manner_n or_o if_o otherwise_o not_o understand_v the_o word_n thou_o speak_v much_o less_o thy_o heart_n affect_v with_o they_o or_o it_o may_v be_v say_v over_o the_o creed_n and_o the_o commandment_n or_o some_o service-book_n prayer_n as_o abundance_n do_v grievous_o profane_v god_n name_n and_o offer_v lip_n labour_n which_o his_o soul_n abhor_v yea_o know_v what_o have_v be_v often_o prove_v that_o thy_o prayer_n and_o all_o thy_o worship_n and_o good_a deed_n as_o thou_o call_v they_o be_v a_o abomination_n to_o the_o lord_n while_o thou_o be_v in_o thy_o sin_n a_o unconvert_v and_o unholy_a person_n yea_o the_o they_o that_o his_o soul_n loathe_v they_o isa_n 1._o 4._o a_o sinner_n do_v not_o save_o close_o with_o free_a grace_n from_o a_o secret_a pride_n of_o heart_n he_o will_v not_o be_v find_v so_o poor_a and_o helpless_a so_o unrighteous_a &_o ungracious_a as_o to_o be_v behold_v to_o free_a mercy_n for_o all_o many_o person_n will_v rather_o starve_v than_o beg_v then_o live_v upon_o another_o man_n mercy_n it_o be_v so_o between_o a_o sinner_n and_o the_o lord_n till_o god_n humble_v he_o he_o will_v rather_o venture_v hell_n then_o come_v and_o acknowledge_v utter_a condemnation_n creature_n to_o make_v good_a on_o his_o part_n by_o his_o own_o power_n for_o that_o will_v easy_o imply_v a_o selfsufficiency_n in_o he_o and_o be_v absolute_o derogatory_n from_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o the_o gospel-covenant_n yet_o god_n have_v draw_v up_o as_o i_o may_v so_o speak_v what_o other_o good_a thing_n he_o will_v bestow_v on_o the_o subject_n of_o his_o free_a grace_n namely_o the_o law_n to_o be_v new_o write_v in_o their_o heart_n the_o gift_n of_o the_o spirit_n newness_n of_o heart_n with_o the_o make_v good_a of_o all_o those_o promise_n in_o a_o degree_n that_o hold_v forth_o holiness_n and_o new_a obedience_n which_o must_v accompany_v the_o free_a pardon_n of_o sin_n and_o make_v indeed_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n more_o glorious_a inasmuch_o as_o when_o he_o pardon_v they_o he_o will_v save_v they_o from_o the_o service_n of_o sin_n work_v his_o image_n upon_o they_o bring_v they_o to_o a_o bless_a conformity_n to_o himself_o which_o consider_v aright_o sweeten_v and_o heighten_v the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n and_o make_v the_o term_n of_o it_o more_o bless_a in_o a_o word_n mercy_n and_o holiness_n must_v go_v together_o a_o saviour_n and_o sanctifier_n which_o a_o sinner_n from_o the_o curse_a love_n of_o ease_n and_o satisfaction_n to_o his_o lust_n stick_v at_o and_o so_o come_v not_o up_o to_o god_n term_n which_o be_v bless_v and_o holy_a and_o so_o miss_v of_o grace_n and_o mercy_n for_o ever_o because_o he_o choose_v sin_n rather_o than_o holiness_n 6._o yea_o a_o sinner_n and_o i_o speak_v all_o this_o while_n of_o such_o as_o pretend_v to_o a_o interest_n in_o free_a mercy_n miss_v of_o this_o grace_n because_o he_o take_v up_o the_o term_n of_o god_n in_o his_o covenant_n of_o grace_n in_o his_o own_o strength_n will_v repent_v and_o come_v up_o to_o new_a obedience_n before_o he_o come_v to_o the_o promise_n to_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n for_o it_o which_o be_v also_o a_o dangerous_a snare_n a_o sinner_n first_o work_n be_v convince_v as_o we_o have_v open_v be_v to_o throw_v himself_o upon_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n for_o all_o to_o give_v all_o to_o work_v all_o and_o so_o to_o follow_v god_n by_o virtue_n of_o promise_n of_o such_o good_a and_o grace_n as_o the_o tenor_n of_o the_o covenant_n hold_v forth_o it_o be_v a_o usual_a thing_n for_o poor_a soul_n first_o to_o think_v to_o convert_v themselves_o make_v themselves_o holy_a and_o then_o come_v to_o god_n and_o jesus_n christ_n this_o be_v a_o indirect_a course_n oh_o a_o poor_a soul_n must_v begin_v at_o the_o fountain_n of_o god_n free_a grace_n for_o christ_n for_o pardon_n for_o the_o spirit_n for_o conversion_n for_o holiness_n for_o all_o as_o hold_v out_o in_o promise_n and_o then_o the_o work_n will_v be_v sure_a and_o prosper_v and_o nought_o shall_v hinder_v it_o 7._o sinner_n fail_v of_o this_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n from_o a_o neglect_n and_o slight_v of_o it_o heb._n 2.3_o how_o
