without_o suitable_a help_n because_o we_o lose_v no_o such_o grace_n in_o adam_n but_o this_o need_v not_o trouble_v we_o for_o 1._o though_o adam_n be_v put_v on_o no_o such_o difficulty_n in_o particular_a as_o to_o encounter_v death_n yet_o the_o perfect_a obedience_n to_o the_o whole_a law_n require_v a_o great_a degree_n of_o internal_a habitual_a holiness_n and_o to_o determine_v the_o case_n whether_o our_o particular_a difficulty_n or_o his_o sinless_a perfect_a obedience_n require_v great_a strength_n and_o help_n be_v a_o matter_n of_o more_o difficulty_n than_o use_n for_o 2._o it_o be_v but_o about_o the_o degree_n of_o holiness_n in_o he_o and_o we_o and_o not_o about_o the_o kind_a that_o the_o difficulty_n lie_v for_o it_o be_v the_o same_o end_n that_o he_o be_v prosperity_n and_o then_o sin_n will_v seem_v another_o thing_n and_o wrath_n more_o terrible_a than_o it_o do_v in_o your_o security_n conscience_n will_v do_v much_o to_o make_v your_o burden_n light_n or_o heavy_a if_o conscience_n ground_o speak_v peace_n and_o all_o be_v sound_a and_o well_o at_o home_n death_n will_v be_v less_o terrible_a the_o heart_n be_v fortify_v against_o its_o enmity_n but_o to_o have_v a_o pain_a body_n and_o a_o pain_a soul_n a_o die_a body_n and_o a_o scorch_a conscience_n that_o be_v afraid_a of_o everlasting_a death_n this_o be_v a_o terrible_a case_n death_n it_o will_v make_v death_n the_o more_o welcome_a as_o the_o passage_n to_o our_o desire_a life_n when_o the_o justice_n even_o the_o castigatory_a and_o vindictive_a justice_n of_o god_n be_v more_o amiable_a in_o our_o eye_n and_o we_o be_v not_o blind_v by_o self-love_n to_o judge_v of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o way_n according_a to_o the_o interest_n of_o our_o flesh_n we_o shall_v then_o consent_v to_o his_o dissolve_v stroke_n and_o see_v that_o the_o bitterness_n of_o death_n proceed_v from_o that_o which_o be_v good_a in_o god_n though_o from_o that_o which_o be_v evil_a in_o ourselves_o doubtless_o as_o justice_n be_v one_o of_o the_o bless_a attribute_n of_o god_n so_o shall_v it_o be_v amiable_a to_o man_n there_o be_v nothing_o in_o god_n but_o what_o be_v lovely_a it_o be_v the_o prevalency_n of_o self-love_n that_o make_v man_n so_o insensible_a of_o the_o excellency_n of_o divine_a justice_n while_o they_o speak_v so_o respectful_o of_o his_o mercy_n so_o far_o as_o man_n be_v carnal_a and_o selfish_a they_o can_v love_v that_o by_o which_o they_o smart_v or_o of_o which_o they_o be_v in_o danger_n but_o the_o soul_n that_o be_v get_v above_o itself_o and_o be_v unite_v unto_o god_n in_o christ_n and_o have_v that_o image_n of_o god_n which_o contain_v the_o impress_n and_o effect_n of_o all_o his_o attribute_n have_v such_o a_o habit_n of_o impartial_a justice_n in_o himself_o and_o such_o a_o hatred_n of_o sin_n and_o such_o a_o desire_n that_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v vindicateed_n and_o maintain_v and_o such_o a_o approbation_n of_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n that_o he_o can_v the_o more_o easy_o consent_n or_o submit_v to_o the_o dissolve_v stroke_n of_o death_n he_o hate_v his_o own_o sin_n and_o loathe_v near_a friend_n be_v but_o as_o sackcloth_n on_o our_o skin_n and_o as_o a_o shoe_n too_o straight_o for_o we_o or_o as_o a_o garment_n that_o be_v unmeet_a which_o pinch_n and_o trouble_v we_o in_o their_o use_n and_o those_o that_o shall_v be_v to_o we_o as_o the_o apple_n of_o our_o eye_n be_v as_o the_o dust_n or_o smoke_n to_o they_o that_o vex_v or_o blind_v they_o and_o the_o more_o we_o love_v they_o the_o more_o it_o greive_v we_o to_o be_v cross_v in_o our_o love_n there_o be_v scarce_o any_o friend_n so_o wise_a so_o good_a so_o suitable_a to_o we_o or_o so_o near_o that_o we_o can_v always_o please_v and_o the_o displeasure_n of_o a_o friend_n be_v as_o gravel_n in_o our_o shoe_n or_o as_o nettle_n in_o our_o bed_n ofttimes_o more_o grievous_a than_o the_o malice_n of_o a_o and_o grace_n rather_o than_o submit_v to_o such_o condition_n thou_o be_v then_o in_o covenant_n with_o he_o and_o the_o blessing_n of_o the_o covenant_n belong_v to_o thou_o can_v thou_o think_v that_o christ_n have_v purchase_v and_o offer_v and_o promise_v that_o which_o he_o will_v not_o give_v have_v he_o send_v forth_o his_o minister_n and_o command_v they_o to_o make_v the_o motion_n in_o his_o name_n and_o to_o invite_v and_o and_o compel_v man_n to_o come_v in_o and_o to_o beseech_v they_o to_o be_v reconcile_v to_o god_n and_o that_o yet_o he_o be_v unwilling_a to_o accept_v and_o patience_n and_o contentment_n and_o communion_n with_o christ_n then_o have_v more_o of_o the_o favour_n and_o applause_n of_o many_o or_o of_o the_o riches_n or_o pleasure_n of_o this_o world_n if_o so_o i_o will_v know_v of_o thou_o whether_o this_o be_v not_o from_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n within_o thou_o and_o be_v not_o his_o image_n itself_o upon_o thou_o and_o the_o motion_n of_o the_o new_a and_o heavenly_a nature_n which_o be_v beget_v in_o thou_o by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n undoubted_o it_o be_v and_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n thus_o dwell_v in_o thou_o be_v the_o earnest_n of_o thy_o inheritance_n do_v thou_o find_v the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n thus_o work_v in_o thou_o cause_v thou_o to_o love_v holiness_n and_o hate_v all_o sin_n and_o yet_o can_v which_o the_o creature_n near_a god_n partake_v of_o the_o earth_n be_v base_a than_o the_o air_n and_o fire_n the_o drossy_a flesh_n be_v base_a than_o the_o soul_n and_o this_o lumpish_a dirty_a visible_a world_n be_v incomparable_o below_o that_o spiritual_a world_n which_o we_o believe_v and_o wait_v for_o and_o though_o thy_o conception_n of_o spirit_n and_o the_o spiritual_a world_n be_v low_a and_o dark_a and_o much_o unsatisfy_n remember_v still_o that_o thy_o head_n be_v there_o and_o it_o belong_v to_o he_o to_o know_v what_o thou_o shall_v be_v till_o thou_o be_v fit_a to_o
