his_o ear_n at_o the_o jew_n blasphemy_n will_v certain_o not_o stop_v his_o ear_n at_o the_o penitent_n complaint_n he_o that_o turn_v not_o away_o his_o face_n from_o his_o enemy_n buffet_n will_v not_o turn_v away_o his_o eye_n from_o the_o suppliant_n tear_n though_o the_o devil_n have_v bereave_v the_o sinner_n of_o his_o purity_n yet_o can_v he_o not_o deprive_v his_o saviour_n of_o his_o pity_n christ_n do_v not_o christ_n can_v so_o remember_v the_o sin_n that_o man_n have_v commit_v that_o he_o forget_v the_o soul_n which_o himself_o have_v purchase_v his_o eye_n and_o nothing_o else_o indeed_o can_v do_v it_o but_o his_o eye_n of_o mercy_n that_o look_v through_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n to_o behold_v the_o sorrow_n of_o the_o sinner_n and_o that_o affliction_n move_v his_o compassion_n vi_o the_o sorrow_n of_o affliction_n and_o pain_n in_o the_o penitent_a become_v destructive_a of_o sin_n through_o the_o power_n of_o faith_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n for_o that_o god_n will_v be_v sanctify_v in_o all_o they_o that_o come_v nigh_o unto_o he_o and_o therefore_o he_o be_v a_o consume_a fire_n in_o the_o fury_n of_o his_o vengeance_n when_o we_o humble_v ourselves_o before_o he_o though_o with_o the_o deep_a of_o affliction_n unless_o it_o be_v by_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n as_o the_o mediator_n god_n will_v be_v a_o just_a judge_n to_o condemn_v want_v of_o mercy_n harden_v and_o consirm_v my_o will_n against_o those_o pious_a and_o good_a motion_n by_o which_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n oftentimes_o attempt_v to_o soften_v it_o to_o a_o ingenuous_a submission_n to_o god_n and_o his_o will_n disorder_v my_o affection_n and_o divert_v they_o from_o those_o right_a object_n which_o reason_n and_o religion_n propound_v and_o my_o own_o conscience_n can_v but_o approve_v vi_o which_o make_v my_o sin_n out_o of_o measure_n sinful_a and_o dangerous_a so_o that_o in_o the_o shame_n and_o confusion_n which_o this_o sight_n of_o itself_o cast_v upon_o my_o soul_n i_o have_v enough_o to_o do_v to_o see_v and_o weigh_v my_o own_o unworthiness_n and_o fill_v my_o conscience_n with_o that_o fear_n of_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n and_o high_a ornament_n and_o happiness_n of_o the_o creature_n x._o thus_o in_o some_o degree_n free_v from_o the_o fear_n and_o love_n of_o my_o sin_n holy_a desire_n and_o good_a affection_n as_o follower_n of_o the_o sun_n accession_n in_o the_o spring_n begin_v to_o arise_v in_o my_o heart_n and_o though_o they_o suffer_v a_o great_a allay_n by_o the_o earth_n of_o the_o body_n in_o which_o
