themselves_o and_o what_o god_n be_v to_o they_o he_o parallel_v their_o way_n with_o his_o way_n that_o they_o find_v the_o infinite_a distance_n may_v have_v other_o thought_n of_o themselves_o and_o of_o he_o both_o it_o be_v a_o song_n it_o be_v true_a but_o a_o sad_a song_n the_o people_n of_o god_n mourning_n shall_v be_v of_o this_o nature_n mix_v not_o pure_a sorrow_n it_o be_v hard_a to_o determine_v whither_o there_o be_v more_o matter_n of_o consolation_n or_o lamentation_n when_o such_o a_o comparison_n be_v make_v to_o the_o life_n when_o god_n goodness_n and_o our_o evil_n be_v set_v before_o our_o eye_n which_o may_v most_o work_v the_o heart_n to_o such_o affection_n nay_o i_o think_v it_o be_v possible_a they_o may_v both_o contribute_v to_o both_o these_o be_v no_o likeness_n let_v be_v equality_n in_o it_o yet_o there_o be_v almost_o a_o equality_n in_o unliknesse_n the_o one_o be_v infinite_o good_a and_o perfect_a well_o what_o shall_v we_o compare_v to_o he_o who_o be_v like_o thou_o o_o god_n among_o the_o god_n angel_n goodness_n their_o perfection_n and_o innocency_n have_v not_o such_o a_o name_n and_o appearance_n in_o his_o sight_n so_o then_o there_o can_v be_v no_o comparison_n make_v this_o way_n let_v no_o flesh_n glory_n in_o his_o sight_n in_o any_o thing_n but_o let_v he_o that_o glori_v glory_n in_o the_o lord_n for_o in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o glorious_a lord_n all_o thing_n do_v disappear_v and_o evanish_v but_o sure_o nothing_o though_o most_o perfect_a can_v once_o come_v within_o term_n of_o reckon_n beside_o he_o for_o any_o worth_n moses_n see_v nothing_o to_o set_v beside_o god_n that_o will_v appear_v in_o its_o own_o greatness_n and_o native_a colour_n but_o the_o creature_n evil_a and_o sin_n and_o if_o this_o be_v not_o infinite_a absolute_o or_o equal_a to_o his_o goodness_n yet_o it_o come_v near_a the_o border_n of_o infiniteness_n so_o then_o be_v god_n most_o perfect_a be_v he_o infinite_a in_o goodness_n in_o truth_n in_o righteousness_n &_o c_o and_o so_o infinite_a that_o before_o he_o nothing_o appear_v good_a none_o good_a save_o one_o that_o be_v god_n yet_o we_o may_v find_v another_o infinite_a and_o it_o be_v in_o evil_a sinful_a man_n and_o these_o two_o contrary_n set_v beside_o other_o do_v much_o
thou_o come_v to_o he_o where_o shall_v thou_o have_v it_o will_v thou_o find_v it_o in_o thy_o heart_n which_o be_v desperate_o wicked_a will_v thou_o seek_v it_o of_o god_n and_o not_o seek_v it_o in_o the_o mediator_n jesus_n christ_n god_n out_o of_o a_o mediator_n will_v not_o hear_v thou_o in_o a_o word_n there_o be_v both_o extreme_a sin_n and_o extreme_a folly_n in_o this_o way_n great_a sin_n because_o it_o contradict_v the_o tenure_n of_o the_o gospel_n it_o dishonour_v the_o lord_n jesus_n the_o exalt_a prince_n as_o if_o he_o be_v not_o the_o fountain_n of_o all_o grace_n it_o be_v contrary_a both_o to_o the_o freedom_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o to_o the_o fullness_n of_o it_o also_o it_o be_v great_a folly_n for_o thou_o leave_v the_o live_a fountain_n and_o go_v seek_v water_n in_o a_o wilderness_n thou_o leave_v the_o garden_n where_o all_o herb_n grow_v and_o wander_v abroad_o to_o the_o wild_a mountain_n and_o because_o thou_o can_v not_o find_v what_o thou_o seek_v thou_o sit_v down_o and_o weep_v beside_o it_o repentance_n be_v in_o christ_n and_o no_o repentance_n so_o please_v to_o god_n as_o the_o mourning_n and_o relent_n of_o a_o pardon_a sinner_n but_o thou_o seek_v it_o far_o from_o he_o yea_o refuse_v he_o for_o want_v of_o that_o which_o thou_o may_v have_v by_o choose_v he_o therefore_o we_o declare_v this_o unto_o you_o that_o whatever_o you_o be_v whatever_o you_o want_v if_o you_o think_v you_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o jesus_n christ_n embrace_v he_o if_o you_o be_v exceed_o vile_a in_o your_o own_o eye_n and_o can_v get_v believe_v but_o he_o that_o repent_v not_o because_o repentance_n be_v require_v as_o a_o preparation_n to_o give_v a_o man_n a_o warrant_n and_o right_a to_o believe_v i_o know_v no_o ground_n of_o faith_n but_o our_o necessity_n and_o the_o lord_n promise_v and_o command_v unto_o we_o but_o because_o no_o soul_n can_v true_o fly_v in_o to_o jesus_n christ_n to_o escape_v sin_n guilt_n but_o he_o that_o desite_n to_o be_v deliver_v from_o sin_n itself_o and_o therefore_o the_o most_o part_n of_o you_o fancy_v a_o faith_n which_o you_o have_v not_o because_o there_o be_v no_o possibility_n that_o man_n will_v come_v out_o of_o themselves_o till_o they_o be_v press_v out_o by_o discover_v sin_n and_o misery_n within_o your_o will_v and_o wish_n after_o christ_n and_o salvation_n that_o many_o of_o you_o have_v be_v not_o the_o real_a exercise_n of_o your_o soul_n fly_v unto_o he_o for_o salvation_n if_o you_o do_v indeed_o turn_v in_o to_o jesus_n christ_n your_o heart_n will_v turn_v the_o back_n upon_o sin_n and_o these_o sin_n you_o seek_v remission_n of_o now_o all_o the_o desire_n that_o many_o man_n have_v of_o christ_n be_v this_o i_o will_v fain_o have_v his_o unclean_a and_o woe_n to_o the_o soul_n that_o enter_v eternity_n with_o all_o the_o pollution_n of_o its_o sin_n can_v such_o a_o soul_n enter_v into_o the_o high_a and_o holy_a place_n the_o clean_a city_n no_o certain_o it_o must_v be_v without_o among_o the_o dog_n and_o swine_n it_o must_v be_v keep_v in_o darkness_n for_o ever_o it_o be_v then_o of_o great_a importance_n that_o you_o be_v washen_n from_o your_o filthiness_n now_o i_o ask_v you_o be_v it_o so_o or_o not_o be_v you_o make_v clean_a and_o washen_v from_o the_o guilt_n of_o your_o sin_n every_o one_o of_o your_o almost_o will_n say_v so_o and_o think_v so_o and_o yet_o say_v the_o scripture_n there_o be_v a_o generation_n pure_a in_o their_o own_o eye_n and_o yet_o be_v not_o wash_v be_v there_o a_o generation_n such_o be_v there_o any_o such_o oh_o then_o think_v its_o possible_a you_o may_v be_v mistake_v in_o the_o opinion_n of_o your_o own_o cleanness_n do_v any_o conceive_v themselves_o pardon_v and_o yet_o be_v not_o so_o think_v it_o be_v possible_a you_o may_v have_v deceive_v yourselves_o espccial_o since_o you_o have_v never_o examine_v it_o but_o be_v there_o so_o many_o so_o a_o whole_a in_o the_o visible_a church_n not_o washen_n and_o yet_o every_o one_o think_v himself_o clean_o then_o certain_o the_o most_o part_n be_v in_o a_o great_a delusion_n will_v you_o then_o once_o examine_v whether_o or_o not_o you_o be_v delude_v with_o they_o it_o shall_v be_v your_o peace_n to_o know_v it_o while_o it_o may_v be_v amend_v but_o how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o so_o many_o hear_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o lie_v near_o this_o fountain_n be_v not_o cleanse_v i_o think_v ccrtain_o because_o they_o will_v not_o have_v a_o through_o cleanse_v they_o get_v none_o at_o all_o all_o man_n will_v love_v christ_n blood_n well_o to_o pardon_v sin_n but_o who_o will_v accept_v of_o the_o water_n to_o sanctify_v they_o from_o sin_n but_o christ_n come_v with_o both_o shall_v this_o blood_n be_v spend_v upon_o number_n of_o you_o who_o have_v no_o respect_n to_o it_o but_o will_v still_o wallow_v in_o your_o filthiness_n will_v you_o have_v god_n pardon_v these_o sin_n you_o never_o thorough_o resolve_v to_o quite_o but_o how_o be_v it_o that_o so_o many_o man_n be_v clean_a in_o their_o own_o eye_n and_o yet_o not_o wash_v i_o think_v indeed_o the_o reason_n of_o it_o be_v they_o make_v a_o kind_n of_o wash_v which_o they_o apprehend_v sufficient_a and_o yet_o know_v not_o the_o true_a fountain_n we_o find_v man_n take_v much_o soap_n and_o nitre_n when_o convince_v of_o sin_n or_o charge_v with_o it_o and_o thereupon_o soon_o absolve_v themselves_o if_o you_o ask_v their_o ground_n they_o will_v tell_v you_o they_o repent_v and_o be_v sorry_a for_o it_o they_o purpose_v to_o make_v a_o mend_n and_o they_o think_v amendment_n a_o gooâ—_n compensation_n for_o the_o past_a wrong_n they_o wilâ—_n it_o may_v be_v vow_v to_o drink_v no_o more_o for_o
