there_o be_v none_o even_o the_o mean_a householder_n but_o aught_o to_o take_v this_o care_n if_o either_o himself_o or_o any_o of_o his_o family_n can_v read_v he_o may_v use_v some_o prayer_n out_o of_o some_o good_a book_n if_o it_o be_v the_o service_n book_n of_o the_o church_n he_o make_v a_o good_a choice_n if_o they_o can_v read_v it_o will_v then_o be_v necessary_a they_o shall_v be_v teach_v without_o book_n some_o form_n of_o prayer_n which_o they_o may_v use_v in_o the_o family_n for_o which_o purpose_n again_o some_o of_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o church_n will_v be_v very_o fit_a as_o be_v most_o easy_a for_o their_o memory_n by_o reason_n of_o their_o shortness_n and_o yet_o contain_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o matter_n but_o what_o choice_n soever_o they_o make_v of_o prayer_n let_v they_o be_v sure_a to_o have_v some_o and_o let_v no_o man_n that_o profess_v himself_o a_o christian_n keep_v so_o heat_n henish_a a_o family_n as_o not_o to_o see_v god_n be_v daily_o worship_v in_o it_o but_o when_o the_o master_n of_o a_o family_n have_v do_v his_o duty_n in_o this_o provide_v it_o be_v the_o duty_n of_o every_o member_n of_o it_o to_o make_v use_n of_o that_o provision_n by_o be_v constant_a and_o diligent_a at_o those_o family-prayer_n 13._o private_a or_o secret_a prayer_n be_v that_o which_o prayer_n be_v use_v by_o a_o man_n alone_o apart_o from_o prize_v they_o so_o high_a let_v we_o if_o it_o be_v but_o in_o reverence_n to_o he_o be_v ashamed_a to_o neglect_v they_o especial_o now_o that_o they_o be_v in_o so_o hopeful_a a_o condition_n that_o nothing_o but_o our_o own_o carelessness_n can_v possible_o destroy_v they_o 27._o i_o have_v now_o brief_o go_v over_o those_o four_o motive_n of_o care_n i_o at_o first_o propose_v which_o be_v each_o of_o they_o such_o as_o never_o miss_v to_o stir_v it_o up_o towards_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n and_o i_o have_v also_o show_v you_o how_o much_o more_o reasonable_a nay_o necessary_a it_o be_v they_o shall_v do_v the_o like_a for_o the_o soul_n and_o now_o what_o can_v i_o say_v more_o but_o conclude_v in_o the_o word_n of_o isaiah_n 46._o 8._o remember_v this_o and_o show_v yourselves_o man_n that_o be_v deal_v with_o your_o soul_n as_o your_o reason_n teach_v you_o to_o do_v with_o all_o other_o thing_n that_o concern_v you_o and_o sure_o this_o common_a justice_n bind_v you_o to_o for_o the_o soul_n be_v that_o which_o furnish_v you_o with_o that_o reason_n which_o you_o exercise_v in_o all_o your_o worldly_a business_n and_o shall_v the_o soul_n itself_o receive_v no_o benefit_n from_o that_o reason_n which_o it_o afford_v you_o this_o be_v as_o if_o the_o master_n of_o a_o family_n who_o provide_v food_n for_o his_o servant_n shall_v by_o they_o be_v keep_v from_o eat_v any_o himself_o and_o so_o remain_v the_o only_o starve_a creature_n in_o his_o house_n 28._o and_o as_o justice_n

contradictory_n to_o the_o other_o for_o if_o i_o swear_v to_o give_v a_o man_n my_o whole_a estate_n and_o afterward_o swear_v to_o give_v all_o or_o part_n of_o that_o estate_n to_o another_o it_o be_v certain_a i_o must_v break_v my_o oath_n to_o one_o of_o they_o because_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o perform_v it_o to_o both_o and_o so_o i_o must_v be_v under_o a_o necessity_n of_o be_v know_v all_o thing_n and_o be_v sure_o a_o great_a dishonour_n of_o he_o it_o be_v even_o among_o man_n account_v one_o of_o the_o great_a disgrace_n to_o account_v a_o man_n fit_a to_o have_v cheat_v put_v upon_o he_o yet_o even_o so_o to_o deal_v with_o god_n if_o we_o venture_v to_o forswear_v upon_o a_o hope_n that_o god_n discern_v it_o not_o but_o the_o other_o be_v yet_o worse_o for_o the_o and_o moment_n somewhat_o wherein_o either_o his_o own_o glory_n or_o some_o considerable_a good_a of_o man_n be_v concern_v but_o when_o we_o swear_v in_o common_a discourse_n it_o be_v far_o
