afflict_v not_o only_o that_o i_o be_o but_o that_o i_o be_v david_n praise_v god_n in_o health_n for_o the_o good_a he_o have_v get_v in_o sickness_n and_o which_o still_o abode_n with_o he_o let_v we_o say_v with_o the_o same_o prophet_n psal_n 66.13_o 14._o i_o will_v go_v into_o thy_o house_n with_o burn_a offering_n i_o will_v pay_v thou_o my_o vow_n which_o my_o lip_n have_v utter_v and_o my_o mouth_n have_v speak_v when_o i_o be_v in_o trouble_n let_v we_o pray_v unto_o god_n that_o his_o affliction_n may_v not_o only_a skin_n over_o our_o spiritual_a disease_n and_o coup_fw-fr up_o our_o sin_n but_o mortify_v they_o and_o so_o change_v our_o nature_n that_o we_o may_v never_o return_v to_o folly_n i_o will_v conclude_v this_o point_n with_o a_o famous_a say_n of_o plinius_n secundus_n worthy_a to_o be_v write_v in_o letter_n of_o gold_n a_o friend_n write_v to_o he_o and_o entreat_v he_o to_o give_v he_o advice_n how_o to_o frame_v his_o life_n so_o as_o he_o may_v live_v as_o become_v a_o good_a man_n he_o return_v he_o this_o answer_n i_o will_v not_o prescribe_v many_o rule_n there_o be_v this_o one_o only_o which_o i_o commend_v to_o thou_o above_o all_o other_o ut_fw-la tale_n esse_fw-la perseveremus_fw-la sani_fw-la quales_fw-la nos_fw-la futuros_fw-la profitemur_fw-la infirmi_fw-la let_v we_o labour_n to_o continue_v and_o persevere_v to_o be_v such_o when_o we_o be_v well_o as_o we_o purpose_v and_o promise_v to_o ourselves_o to_o be_v when_o we_o be_v sick_a there_o be_v hardly_o any_o man_n so_o wicked_a but_o he_o will_v in_o sickness_n make_v many_o and_o great_a promise_n of_o a_o new_a life_n and_o of_o universal_a reformation_n if_o god_n will_v restore_v he_o now_o than_o if_o we_o not_o only_o be_v such_o but_o continue_v to_o be_v such_o when_o restore_v as_o we_o promise_v to_o be_v when_o sick_a than_o we_o shall_v be_v excellent_a scholar_n in_o the_o school_n of_o affliction_n and_o god_n will_v either_o as_o i_o have_v already_o say_v deliver_v we_o out_o of_o affliction_n or_o send_v we_o to_o heaven_n by_o affliction_n so_o much_o for_o the_o first_o truth_n suppose_v the_o end_n of_o the_o first_o sermon_n
