overboard_o all_o his_o precious_a substance_n get_v with_o great_a labour_n and_o peril_n of_o life_n to_o save_v his_o short_a uncertain_a life_n and_o wise_o too_o but_o much_o more_o wise_a be_v which_o we_o be_v command_v to_o have_v those_o degree_n of_o grace_n and_o those_o mean_n which_o we_o be_v command_v to_o use_v and_o those_o spiritual_a joy_n and_o enjoyment_n which_o we_o long_o for_o and_o can_v be_v happy_a without_o why_o shall_v we_o doubt_v of_o our_o success_n or_o why_o shall_v we_o not_o expect_v a_o quick_a return_n let_v we_o then_o apply_v ourselves_o to_o seek_v out_o those_o thing_n as_o the_o original_n of_o all_o grace_n we_o first_o be_v teach_v by_o our_o saviour_n to_o pray_v to_o god_n to_o give_v we_o the_o holy_a spirit_n and_o he_o that_o obtain_v this_o obtain_v also_o the_o fruit_n of_o it_o love_n joy_n peace_n meekness_n gentleness_n patience_n etc._n etc._n and_o all_o grace_n whatsoever_o for_o as_o the_o lord_n teach_v we_o our_o whole_a give_v they_o as_o for_o instance_n all_o those_o petition_n of_o david_n in_o the_o psalm_n show_v his_o own_o corruption_n weakness_n fail_n sin_n and_o infirmity_n wander_n and_o straying_n from_o god_n commandment_n and_o pray_v for_o the_o lord_n help_v against_o they_o we_o now_o under_o the_o gospel_n if_o we_o flatter_v not_o ourselves_o as_o some_o sect_n do_v we_o all_o at_o sometime_o shall_v find_v by_o sad_a experience_n that_o we_o have_v need_v to_o pray_v so_o too_o and_o those_o that_o be_v most_o renew_v and_o most_o conformable_a to_o the_o image_n of_o god_n those_o search_n out_o most_o and_o know_v there_o own_o fail_n in_o grace_n and_o proneness_n to_o sin_n for_o it_o may_v be_v say_v of_o we_o all_o have_v sin_v and_o be_v justify_v free_o by_o his_o grace_n for_o if_o st._n paul_n count_v not_o that_o he_o have_v atttain_v perfection_n but_o press_v forward_o neither_o may_v we_o imagine_v that_o those_o of_o this_o age_n who_o pretend_v to_o it_o have_v attain_v it_o for_o in_o many_o thing_n we_o offend_v all_o therefore_o in_o as_o much_o as_o those_o grace_n be_v to_o be_v in_o we_o which_o they_o seek_v and_o pray_v for_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v in_o they_o we_o also_o be_v to_o imitate_v their_o example_n of_o pray_v for_o they_o and_o the_o improvement_n of_o they_o and_o against_o the_o contrary_a viz._n the_o corruption_n and_o sin_n which_o we_o find_v our_o nature_n liable_a to_o every_o man_n condition_n do_v show_v he_o what_o temptation_n he_o be_v most_o liable_a to_o and_o what_o grace_n he_o have_v that_o so_o they_o may_v set_v they_o on_o thing_n above_o that_o they_o affect_v not_o mind_n nor_o nor_o converse_v with_o these_o thing_n of_o the_o world_n which_o they_o have_v plentiful_o to_o enjoy_v that_o notwithstanding_o their_o abundance_n they_o may_v have_v their_o conversation_n in_o heaven_n and_o mind_n only_o heavenly_a thing_n and_o use_v the_o world_n as_o if_o they_o use_v it_o not_o buy_v as_o if_o they_o possess_v not_o and_o be_v rich_a in_o good_a work_n and_o may_v be_v able_a to_o deny_v themselves_o and_o may_v be_v crucify_v to_o the_o world_n and_o bury_v with_o christ_n in_o baptism_n and_o rise_v again_o with_o he_o in_o newness_n of_o life_n that_o the_o life_n which_o we_o now_o live_v we_o may_v no_o more_o live_v it_o but_o christ_n may_v live_v in_o we_o and_o the_o life_n which_o we_o live_v we_o may_v live_v by_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n who_o love_v we_o and_o give_v himself_o for_o we_o a_o special_a help_n and_o
