which_o the_o covenant_n it_o self_n and_o the_o benefit_n of_o it_o be_v conditional_o obtain_v for_o we_o and_o grant_v to_o we_o and_o although_o it_o be_v of_o god_n mercy_n and_o by_o virtue_n of_o christ_n merit_n and_o the_o promise_n and_o ordination_n of_o god_n that_o we_o come_v to_o have_v any_o title_n to_o pardon_n and_o life_n when_o we_o have_v perform_v the_o condition_n and_o not_o by_o virtue_n of_o any_o merit_n or_o desert_n in_o the_o performance_n itself_o yet_o this_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n do_v not_o entitle_v we_o to_o pardon_n and_o life_n until_o we_o impute_v but_o the_o reason_n be_v not_o because_o it_o be_v not_o inherent_a in_o the_o person_n themselves_o to_o who_o it_o be_v impute_v but_o in_o christ_n and_o make_v they_o only_a by_o imputation_n for_o it_o be_v the_o faith_n of_o the_o person_n himself_o that_o be_v here_o say_v to_o be_v count_v or_o impute_v to_o he_o for_o righteousness_n and_o the_o reason_n why_o it_o be_v call_v a_o righteousness_n impute_v may_v be_v because_o it_o be_v not_o natural_o and_o of_o itself_o or_o in_o its_o own_o nature_n a_o righteousness_n that_o will_v justify_v a_o man_n as_o adam_n be_v before_o his_o fall_n but_o it_o be_v only_o by_o divine_a institution_n grace_n and_o favour_n that_o it_o be_v so_o god_n justify_v we_o free_o by_o his_o grace_n rom._n 3.24_o it_o be_v of_o faith_n that_o it_o may_v be_v by_o grace_n as_o it_o follow_v rom._n 4.16_o as_o it_o be_v by_o the_o justification_n or_o ordinance_n of_o a_o king_n that_o such_o a_o piece_n of_o coin_n pass_v currant_n for_o so_o much_o whether_o it_o be_v of_o the_o intrinsic_a value_n or_o no_o even_o so_o by_o virtue_n of_o god_n institution_n and_o for_o christ_n sake_n faith_n be_v make_v to_o pass_v for_o and_o to_o be_v reckon_v and_o account_v to_o we_o for_o righteousness_n and_o to_o entitle_v we_o to_o those_o benefit_n which_o in_o its_o own_o nature_n it_o do_v not_o merit_n if_o it_o be_v a_o perfect_a righteousness_n in_o its_o own_o nature_n as_o adam_n be_v it_o will_v need_v no_o pardon_n to_o accompany_v it_o as_o it_o do_v and_o will_v secure_v we_o as_o well_o from_o temporal_a as_o eternal_a death_n which_o yet_o it_o do_v not_o but_o it_o be_v a_o righteousness_n by_o institution_n and_o grace_n how_o far_o it_o shall_v be_v beneficial_a to_o we_o and_o to_o what_o end_n and_o purpose_n it_o shall_v serve_v depend_v whole_o upon_o the_o good_a will_n and_o pleasure_n of_o god_n and_o be_v knowable_a only_o so_o far_o to_o we_o as_o he_o have_v be_v please_v to_o put_v they_o into_o promise_n by_o virtue_n of_o which_o promise_v make_v upon_o condition_n of_o such_o righteousness_n and_o not_o by_o merit_n of_o the_o righteousness_n itself_o we_o come_v to_o have_v a_o title_n to_o the_o promise_a benefit_n such_o as_o be_v remission_n of_o sin_n and_o eternal_a life_n but_o mr._n f._n can_v understand_v but_o that_o it_o be_v repugnant_a to_o the_o immutability_n and_o essential_a holiness_n of_o god_n to_o justify_v we_o upon_o a_o imperfect_a obedience_n the_o law_n command_v that_o which_o be_v perfect_a and_o think_v for_o he_o to_o do_v so_o will_v be_v to_o pronounce_v a_o unjust_a person_n just_a but_o he_o shall_v consider_v that_o god_n in_o justify_v we_o do_v not_o pronounce_v we_o just_a as_o not_o have_v sin_v for_o that_o be_v impossible_a for_o he_o indeed_o to_o do_v but_o as_o have_v perform_v the_o condition_n on_o which_o he_o in_o his_o gospel-covenant_n have_v promise_v to_o pardon_v our_o sin_n and_o in_o do_v righteous_a or_o unrighteous_a and_o whosoever_o be_v adult_n be_v not_o righteous_a in_o this_o sense_n shall_v not_o inherit_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n 1_o cor._n 69._o but_o those_o that_o be_v by_o christ_n the_o mediator_n to_o make_v way_n for_o it_o i_o conceive_v mr._n f._n do_v not_o suppose_v that_o god_n by_o the_o holiness_n of_o his_o nature_n be_v natural_o and_o necessary_o these_o end_n of_o government_n be_v secure_v in_o show_v favour_n the_o stighteousness_n and_o justice_n of_o god_n will_v never_o suffer_v any_o disparagement_n how_o great_a soever_o the_o grace_n and_o favour_n be_v that_o be_v show_v to_o offender_n but_o now_o that_o god_n in_o justify_v man_n upon_o account_n of_o sincere_a obedience_n and_o inherent_a righteousness_n consider_v what_o
