to_o the_o other_o sin_n be_v the_o devil_n bawd_n or_o broker_n prefer_v man_n and_o woman_n to_o his_o service_n now_o that_o every_o unregenerate_a person_n be_v the_o servant_n of_o sin_n do_v but_o see_v what_o our_o saviour_n say_v joh._n 8.34_o very_o very_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o whosoever_o commit_v sin_n be_v the_o servant_n of_o sin_n that_o be_v to_o say_v commit_v sin_n as_o the_o judgement_n upon_o they_o divers_a time_n terror_n of_o conscience_n and_o fear_v of_o hell_n fire_n as_o the_o unregenerate_a be_v describe_v heb._n 2.15_o to_o be_v such_o as_o through_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n that_o be_v to_o say_v death_n eternal_a be_v all_o their_o life_n time_n subject_a to_o bondage_n and_o in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v to_o condemnation_n rom._n 6.23_o the_o wage_n of_o sin_n be_v death_n to_o wit_n eternal_a and_o so_o of_o satan_n he_o will_v promise_v great_a matter_n to_o man_n and_o woman_n but_o he_o be_v a_o deluder_n and_o a_o lyar._n he_o tell_v our_o first_o parent_n obey_v he_o they_o shall_v become_v as_o god_n but_o in_o their_o woeful_a experience_n they_o find_v the_o clean_a contrary_n and_o so_o he_o suggest_v to_o our_o saviour_n matth._n 4.8_o 9_o that_o if_o he_o will_v fall_v down_o and_o worship_v he_o what_o he_o will_v do_v for_o he_o but_o have_v our_o saviour_n trust_v he_o he_o have_v be_v deceive_v the_o truth_n of_o it_o be_v he_o deceive_v all_o that_o trust_v he_o witness_v his_o principal_a slave_n witch_n and_o wizard_n unto_o who_o he_o promise_v much_o wealth_n and_o riches_n but_o where_o be_v the_o delight_v more_o in_o the_o service_n of_o satan_n then_o in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n be_v it_o not_o just_a with_o god_n to_o leave_v they_o in_o his_o hand_n to_o be_v slave_n to_o he_o who_o service_n they_o so_o delight_v in_o it_o be_v true_a satan_n have_v no_o power_n but_o what_o god_n permit_v but_o how_o just_a be_v it_o with_o god_n to_o give_v up_o such_o unto_o his_o dominion_n as_o be_v rebel_n to_o his_o majesty_n now_o for_o the_o further_a illustration_n of_o this_o point_n we_o come_v to_o answer_v some_o objection_n 2_o to_o show_v the_o greatness_n and_o
may_v lose_v his_o inward_a peace_n and_o comfort_n for_o a_o time_n but_o this_o righteousness_n of_o he_o be_v in_o a_o sure_a hand_n and_o can_v be_v lose_v and_o thus_o the_o true_a believer_n be_v in_o better_a case_n than_o adam_n in_o his_o innocency_n he_o may_v and_o do_v lose_v his_o righteousness_n but_o the_o believer_n can_v lose_v his_o it_o be_v not_o in_o his_o own_o keep_n and_o yet_o have_v it_o not_o why_o so_o there_o be_v some_o who_o have_v it_o and_o yet_o fear_v they_o have_v it_o not_o the_o latter_a of_o these_o we_o desire_v to_o encounter_v with_o by_o answer_v some_o of_o their_o objection_n obj._n 1_o we_o shall_v have_v some_o christian_n to_o say_v that_o it_o be_v true_a indeed_o they_o make_v a_o profession_n of_o the_o faith_n in_o a_o special_a manner_n and_o they_o dear_o love_v god_n word_n god_n minister_n and_o god_n people_n and_o earnest_o desirous_a they_o be_v in_o every_o thing_n to_o please_v god_n but_o they_o do_v not_o know_v when_o or_o by_o who_o they_o be_v convert_v and_o therefore_o they_o question_v whether_o they_o have_v the_o grace_n of_o true_a faith_n or_o no._n ans_fw-fr although_o some_o of_o god_n people_n know_v and_o can_v remember_v the_o time_n and_o instrument_n this_o way_n why_o yet_o this_o be_v not_o require_v of_o all_o god_n people_n the_o lord_n convert_v some_o even_o byone_v sermon_n other_o by_o degree_n and_o in_o a_o long_a time_n as_o he_o best_o please_v may_v it_o not_o suffice_v to_o find_v this_o faith_n by_o the_o effect_n of_o it_o but_o we_o must_v trouble_v affliction_n 5._o the_o more_o conscionable_o he_o walk_v in_o his_o particular_a call_v 6._o the_o more_o manful_o he_o fight_v with_o all_o his_o spiritual_a enemy_n upon_o these_o ground_n such_o as_o have_v but_o a_o weak_a and_o little_a faith_n must_v earnest_o labour_v to_o have_v it_o strong_a and_o great_a but_o yet_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n these_o party_n must_v not_o be_v too_o much_o discourage_v first_o because_o there_o may_v be_v many_o fear_n and_o doubt_n where_o there_o be_v true_a faith_n matth._n 8.26_o and_o 14.31_o second_o it_o be_v not_o the_o excellency_n and_o great_a measure_n of_o faith_n that_o justify_v we_o but_o the_o object_n of_o faith_n to_o wit_n christ_n and_o his_o merit_n three_o a_o weak_a faith_n if_o a_o true_a faith_n do_v apprehend_v
