great_a pity_n it_o shall_v be_v destroy_v and_o according_o they_o say_v to_o christ_n see_v what_o goodly_a building_n be_v here_o as_o if_o they_o have_v say_v master_n what_o great_a pity_n be_v it_o that_o such_o a_o magnificent_a structure_n shall_v become_v a_o ruinous_a heap_n but_o hence_o we_o learn_v 1._o that_o sin_n bring_v city_n and_o kingdom_n as_o well_o as_o particular_a and_o private_a person_n to_o their_o end_n there_o be_v no_o place_n so_o strong_a but_o a_o almighty_a god_n be_v able_a to_o destroy_v they_o and_o sin_n be_v sufficient_a to_o lay_v they_o waste_v observe_v 2._o that_o the_o threaten_n of_o god_n be_v to_o be_v fear_v and_o shall_v be_v fulfil_v whatever_o appear_v improbability_n there_o may_v be_v to_o the_o contrary_n god_n have_v threaten_v god_n secret_a will_n than_o to_o obey_v the_o manifest_a declaration_n of_o god_n reveal_v will._n tell_v we_o when_o these_o thing_n shall_v be_v as_o to_o their_o second_o question_n what_o shall_v be_v the_o sign_n of_o his_o come_n our_o saviour_n acquaint_v they_o with_o this_o among_o many_o other_o that_o there_o shall_v arise_v false_a christ_n false_a prophet_n and_o seducer_n a_o multitude_n of_o impostor_n that_o shall_v draw_v many_o after_o they_o therefore_o he_o bid_v they_o take_v heed_n and_o beware_v where_o observe_v that_o christ_n do_v not_o gratify_v his_o disciple_n curiosity_n but_o acquaint_v they_o with_o their_o present_a duty_n to_o watch_v against_o deceiver_n and_o seducer_n who_o shall_v have_v the_o impudence_n to_o affirm_v themselves_o to_o emblem_n of_o the_o world_n destruction_n 2._o that_o such_o seducer_n will_v come_v in_o christ_n name_n and_o their_o error_n and_o false_a opinion_n shall_v be_v give_v out_o to_o be_v the_o mind_n of_o christ_n 3._o that_o many_o will_v be_v seduce_v and_o carry_v away_o with_o their_o fair_a pretence_n and_o plausible_a deceit_n 4._o that_o christ_n own_o disciple_n have_v need_v to_o take_v heed_n lest_o they_o themselves_o be_v lead_v away_o by_o the_o error_n of_o the_o wicked_a do_v fall_n from_o their_o own_o steadfastness_n take_v heed_n that_o no_o man_n deceive_v you_o for_o the_o scribe_n endeavour_v to_o fix_v upon_o our_o bless_a saviour_n namely_o that_o he_o be_v possess_v of_o the_o devil_n and_o by_o familiarity_n with_o he_o and_o help_v from_o he_o cast_v forth_o devil_n out_o of_o other_o good_a god_n how_o be_v thy_o own_o and_o only_a son_n the_o holy_a and_o innocent_a jesus_n censure_v slander_v and_o false_o accuse_v of_o the_o worst_a of_o crime_n of_o gluttony_n of_o blasphemy_n of_o sorcery_n can_v any_o of_o thy_o child_n expect_v freedom_n from_o the_o persecution_n of_o the_o tongue_n when_o innocency_n itself_o can_v not_o protect_v thy_o holy_a son_n from_o slander_n and_o false_a accusation_n obs_n 4._o our_o saviour_n answer_n and_o just_a apology_n for_o himself_o in_o which_o be_v contain_v 1._o a_o confutation_n of_o their_o calumny_n and_o slander_n 2._o a_o reprehension_n of_o the_o scribe_n for_o the_o same_o 1._o to_o confute_v this_o slander_n our_o saviour_n by_o several_a argument_n show_v how_o absurd_a and_o unlikely_a it_o be_v that_o the_o devil_n shall_v cast_v out_o himself_o and_o any_o way_n oppose_v or_o seek_v to_o destroy_v his_o own_o kingdom_n as_o if_o our_o saviour_n have_v say_v be_v it_o likely_a that_o satan_n will_v â—end_n i_o his_o power_n to_o use_v it_o against_o himself_o sure_o satan_n will_v do_v nothing_o to_o weaken_v his_o own_o interest_n or_o shake_v the_o pillar_n of_o his_o own_o kingdom_n now_o if_o i_o have_v receive_v my_o power_n from_o satan_n for_o destroy_v he_o and_o his_o kingdom_n then_o be_v satan_n like_o a_o family_n divide_v within_o itself_o and_o like_o a_o kingdom_n divide_v against_o itself_o which_o can_v never_o stand_v but_o be_v bring_v to_o desolation_n our_o saviour_n have_v sufficient_o show_v that_o he_o do_v not_o work_v his_o miracle_n by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o devil_n he_o next_o inform_v they_o from_o whence_o he_o have_v that_o power_n even_o from_o god_n himself_o and_o according_o he_o compare_v satan_n to_o a_o strong_a man_n well-armed_n with_o weapon_n to_o defend_v his_o house_n and_o he_o compare_v himself_o clothe_v with_o divine_a power_n to_o one_o that_o be_v strong_a than_o the_o strong_a man._n so_o that_o the_o argument_n run_v thus_o the_o devil_n be_v very_o strong_a and_o powerful_a and_o there_o be_v no_o power_n but_o god_n only_a that_o be_v strong_a than_o he_o if_o then_o say_v christ_n i_o be_v not_o assist_v with_o a_o divine_a power_n i_o can_v never_o cast_v out_o this_o strong_a man_n who_o reign_v in_o the_o body_n and_o soul_n of_o man_n as_o in_o his_o house_n for_o only_o dangerous_a but_o desperate_a because_o you_o resist_v the_o last_o remedy_n and_o oppose_v the_o best_a mean_n for_o your_o conviction_n for_o what_o can_v be_v do_v more_o to_o convince_v
