unto_o he_o the_o general_a confession_n of_o sin_n and_o consequent_o this_o present_a prayer_n as_o it_o follow_v o_o lord_n god_n almighty_a and_o father_n of_o mercy_n we_o be_v here_o assemble_v together_o in_o the_o name_n of_o thy_o well-beloved_a son_n our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n through_o who_o we_o be_v bold_a to_o present_v ourselves_o before_o thou_o to_o call_v upon_o thy_o holy_a name_n have_v our_o sole_a refuge_n unto_o thy_o sovereign_n and_o transcendent_a goodness_n which_o we_o not_o only_o desire_v to_o be_v sensible_a of_o and_o to_o taste_v in_o ourselves_o but_o also_o in_o the_o necessity_n of_o thy_o poor_a creature_n here_o afflict_v with_o corporal_a sickness_n and_o with_o the_o affliction_n and_o calamity_n of_o mind_n we_o know_v lord_n that_o just_o thou_o visite_a and_o chastne_v he_o with_o thyrod_n to_o make_v he_o to_o understand_v thy_o fatherly_a affection_n but_o thy_o great_a mercy_n which_o thou_o have_v use_v towards_o our_o father_n be_v not_o extinguish_v nor_o exhaust_v for_o thou_o be_v that_o great_a eternal_a god_n gracious_a and_o merciful_a that_o never_o change_v with_o who_o there_o be_v no_o variableness_n nor_o shadow_n of_o change_n thy_o holy_a word_n teach_v we_o most_o evident_o that_o the_o whole_a earth_n be_v full_a of_o thy_o mercy_n which_o be_v far_o above_o thy_o justice_n wherefore_o lord_n mitigate_v thy_o rigour_n towards_o thy_o creature_n have_v pity_n and_o compassion_n on_o he_o for_o thy_o son_n jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n sake_n look_v not_o upon_o his_o sin_n but_o look_v upon_o the_o face_n of_o thy_o christ_n who_o have_v full_o satisfy_v thou_o for_o he_o by_o offer_v up_o unto_o thou_o that_o great_a sacrifice_n of_o his_o body_n upon_o the_o cross_n we_o beseech_v thou_o then_o o_o most_o gracious_a god_n full_a of_o mercy_n to_o make_v he_o sensible_a of_o thy_o grace_n which_o thou_o have_v never_o deny_v to_o thy_o child_n and_o because_o thou_o be_v our_o eternal_a father_n well_o know_v whatsoever_o be_v needful_a and_o expedient_a for_o our_o salvation_n we_o pray_v not_o unto_o thou_o to_o lengthen_v unto_o he_o his_o life_n or_o to_o abridge_v it_o for_o we_o repose_v ourselves_o upon_o thy_o holy_a will_n whereunto_o only_o we_o desire_v to_o be_v conformable_a thou_o be_v wise_a without_o counsel_n to_o dispose_v of_o thy_o creature_n according_a to_o thy_o good_a pleasure_n that_o if_o it_o shall_v be_v thy_o pleasure_n to_o call_v he_o hence_o who_o be_v he_o that_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o resist_v thou_o but_o if_o it_o be_v thy_o good_a pleasure_n to_o send_v he_o health_n again_o who_o be_v he_o that_o shall_v reprehend_v
