christ_n know_v that_o pilate_n make_v no_o good_a use_n of_o his_o fear_n and_o that_o he_o be_v not_o humble_v to_o desire_v to_o be_v instruct_v in_o the_o truth_n but_o that_o as_o he_o have_v despise_v his_o former_a answer_n in_o that_o he_o tell_v he_o he_o come_v into_o the_o world_n to_o bear_v witness_n of_o the_o truth_n so_o he_o will_v as_o light_o reject_v whatsoever_o he_o shall_v now_o affirm_v concern_v the_o deity_n of_o his_o person_n or_o union_n of_o his_o divine_a nature_n to_o the_o humane_a etc._n etc._n therefore_o touch_v this_o point_n which_o he_o be_v suffering_n and_o not_o to_o seek_v any_o deliverance_n at_o the_o hand_n of_o pilate_n the_o falsnes_n of_o who_o heart_n he_o do_v better_o know_v than_o pilate_n do_v by_o the_o occasion_n of_o which_o silence_n of_o our_o saviour_n though_o most_o just_a and_o discreet_a pilate_n as_o be_v observe_v do_v in_o the_o four_o place_n proceed_v to_o a_o second_o question_n wherein_o he_o do_v first_o no_o less_o hauty_o or_o imperious_o then_o angry_o reprove_v our_o saviour_n for_o his_o silence_n speak_v thou_o not_o to_o i_o say_v pilate_n and_o then_o he_o render_v a_o reason_n of_o place_n our_o saviour_n christ_n show_v himself_o to_o be_v of_o a_o most_o stay_a and_o resolve_a mind_n know_v perfect_o both_o what_o he_o be_v to_o say_v and_o also_o what_o he_o be_v to_o do_v without_o either_o the_o entice_a or_o terrify_v either_o of_o pilate_n or_o of_o any_o other_o and_o therefore_o though_o he_o do_v now_o answer_v pilate_n have_v a_o fit_a occasion_n so_o to_o do_v be_v bring_v before_o a_o magistrate_n who_o will_v seem_v not_o to_o be_v persuade_v that_o he_o be_v a_o magistrate_n or_o to_o have_v any_o power_n to_o examine_v he_o for_o in_o this_o case_n by_o what_o better_a way_n may_v the_o magistrate_n suppress_v this_o fancy_n of_o such_o a_o one_o then_o by_o tell_v he_o that_o he_o shall_v well_o find_v that_o he_o have_v authority_n to_o examine_v and_o insensible_a corpse_n whereupon_o well_o say_v elihu_n in_o the_o book_n of_o job_n chap_n 32.8_o sure_o there_o be_v a_o spirit_n in_o man_n but_o the_o inspiration_n of_o the_o almighty_a give_v understanding_n and_o our_o saviour_n himself_o also_o john_n 3._o verse_n 3.5_o except_o a_o man_n be_v bear_v again_o of_o the_o spirit_n he_o can_v neither_o see_v nor_o enter_v into_o the_o be_v a_o point_n special_o to_o be_v observe_v of_o we_o touch_v this_o appearance_n moreover_o we_o may_v from_o hence_o see_v what_o the_o common_a nature_n of_o all_o sacrament_n to_o wit_n by_o a_o outward_a sign_n to_o present_v yea_o to_o give_v assurance_n of_o some_o inward_a &_o spiritual_a grace_n not_o by_o change_v or_o mix_v of_o the_o sign_n with_o the_o thing_n signify_v but_o notorious_a crime_n sedition_n and_o false_a doctrine_n that_o be_v to_o say_v with_o a_o mind_n to_o charge_v the_o prince_n of_o peace_n with_o rebellion_n and_o the_o prince_n of_o all_o prophet_n stoop_v thus_o low_o to_o our_o saviour_n christ_n and_o to_o his_o church_n for_o his_o sake_n who_o may_v think_v himself_o except_v from_o like_a duty_n and_o service_n and_o see_v the_o king_n ought_v to_o have_v this_o general_a care_n and_o dutiful_a regard_n of_o all_o for_o christ_n sake_n how_o can_v we_o think_v but_o every_o christian_a in_o particular_a stand_v deep_o bind_v to_o scripture_n that_o the_o misery_n and_o torment_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o the_o wicked_a shall_v be_v perpetual_a even_o from_o the_o time_n of_o their_o natural_a death_n and_o so_o to_o continue_v for_o ever_o the_o worm_n of_o their_o guilty_a conscience_n shall_v never_o die_v neither_o shall_v the_o fire_n of_o their_o torment_n ever_o be_v quench_v as_o our_o saviour_n show_v plain_o in_o the_o parable_n of_o the_o rich_a man_n luke_n 16.22_o etc._n etc._n so_o then_o the_o wicked_a be_v say_v to_o die_v a_o second_o death_n moreover_o and_o beside_o the_o natural_a death_n in_o respect_n of_o their_o punishment_n and_o torment_n or_o destruction_n after_o this_o life_n in_o such_o sense_n as_o they_o be_v say_v as_o touch_v all_o grace_n and_o godliness_n to_o be_v dead_a even_o while_o they_o live_v here_o for_o like_a as_o they_o while_o they_o live_v the_o natural_a life_n be_v dead_a because_o they_o want_v the_o joy_n of_o godliness_n and_o thereby_o of_o a_o good_a conscience_n which_o be_v as_o we_o may_v say_v the_o life_n of_o our_o life_n so_o yea_o much_o rather_o because_o after_o the_o end_n of_o the_o natural_a and_o sinful_a life_n of_o the_o wicked_a their_o torment_n begin_v never_o to_o end_v they_o may_v just_o be_v say_v to_o pass_v to_o a_o second_o death_n that_o be_v from_o a_o death_n in_o extremity_n of_o sin_n to_o a_o death_n
