write_v in_o the_o old_a testament_n concern_v the_o messiah_n and_o that_o those_o who_o believe_v this_o and_o repent_v shall_v receive_v remission_n of_o their_o sin_n through_o this_o faith_n in_o he_o or_o as_o st._n mark_n have_v it_o chap._n xvi_o 15._o go_v into_o all_o the_o world_n and_o preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o every_o creature_n he_o that_o believe_v and_o be_v baptize_v shall_v not_o and_o the_o history_n of_o the_o act_n be_v conclude_v with_o this_o account_n of_o st._n paul_n preach_v and_o paul_n dwell_v two_o whole_a year_n in_o his_o own_o hire_a house_n and_o receive_v all_o that_o come_v in_o unto_o he_o preach_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o teach_v those_o thing_n which_o concern_v the_o lord_n jesus_n the_o messiah_n we_o may_v therefore_o here_o apply_v the_o same_o conclusion_n to_o the_o history_n of_o our_o saviour_n write_v by_o the_o evangelist_n and_o to_o the_o history_n of_o the_o apostle_n write_v in_o the_o act_n which_o st._n you_o may_v have_v life_n in_o his_o name_n what_o st._n john_n think_v necessary_a and_o sufficient_a to_o be_v believe_v for_o the_o attain_n eternal_a life_n he_o here_o tell_v we_o and_o this_o not_o in_o the_o first_o dawn_n of_o the_o gospel_n when_o perhaps_o some_o will_v be_v apt_a to_o think_v less_o be_v require_v to_o be_v believe_v than_o after_o the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n and_o mystery_n of_o salvation_n be_v more_o full_o explain_v in_o the_o epistle_n write_v by_o the_o apostle_n for_o it_o be_v to_o be_v remember_v that_o st._n john_n say_v this_o not_o as_o soon_o as_o christ_n be_v ascend_v for_o these_o word_n with_o the_o rest_n of_o st._n john_n gospel_n be_v not_o write_v till_o many_o year_n after_o not_o only_o the_o other_o gospel_n and_o st._n luke_n history_n of_o the_o act_n but_o in_o all_o appearance_n after_o all_o the_o epistle_n write_v by_o the_o other_o apostle_n so_o that_o above_o threescore_o year_n after_o our_o saviour_n passion_n for_o so_o long_o after_o both_o epiphanius_n and_o st._n jerome_n assure_v we_o this_o gospel_n be_v write_v st._n john_n know_v nothing_o else_o require_v to_o be_v believe_v for_o the_o attain_n of_o life_n but_o that_o jesus_n be_v the_o messiah_n the_o son_n of_o god_n to_o this_o it_o be_v likely_a it_o will_v be_v object_v by_o some_o that_o to_o believe_v only_o that_o jesus_n of_o nazareth_n be_v the_o messiah_n be_v but_o a_o historical_a and_o not_o a_o justify_n or_o save_v faith_n to_o which_o i_o answer_v that_o i_o allow_v to_o the_o maker_n of_o system_n and_o their_o follower_n to_o invent_v and_o use_v what_o distinction_n they_o please_v and_o to_o call_v thing_n by_o what_o name_n they_o think_v fit_a but_o i_o can_v allow_v to_o they_o or_o
have_v give_v to_o they_o that_o obey_v he_o act_n xvii_o 30._o paul_n tell_v the_o athenian_n that_o now_o under_o the_o gospel_n god_n command_v all_o man_n every_o where_o to_o repent_v act_n xx._n
