truth_n set_v to_o their_o seal_n that_o god_n be_v true_a in_o his_o gift_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o righteousness_n impute_v and_o in_o the_o perfection_n of_o part_n in_o some_o degree_n of_o inherent_a righteousness_n witness_n god_n truth_n against_o satan_n lie_n or_o lie_v vanity_n therefore_o satan_n by_o tentation_n and_o other_o envious_a operation_n as_o by_o cain_n to_o abel_n guilt_n and_o punishment_n remove_v from_o all_o and_o therefore_o none_o ever_o perish_v for_o that_o transgression_n for_o although_o adam_n eat_v ng_z the_o forbid_a fruit_n and_o the_o demerit_n figurative_a lamb_n to_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o covenant_n in_o every_o respect_n answer_v the_o imputative_a unrighteousness_n of_o adam_n the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n can_v not_o imputative_o by_o free_a gift_n have_v come_v as_o it_o do_v upon_o all_o man_n to_o the_o justification_n of_o life_n for_o till_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o covenant_n be_v so_o satisfy_v although_o god_n be_v willing_a to_o impute_v it_o to_o life_n yet_o he_o can_v not_o for_o as_o god_n can_v lie_v so_o he_o can_v deny_v his_o truth_n but_o all_o mankind_n must_v certain_o have_v dye_v according_a to_o gods-word_n that_o death_n in_o the_o day_n that_o adam_n do_v sin_n second_o here_o note_v that_o this_o free_a gift_n of_o christ_n imputative_a righteousness_n come_v at_o this_o time_n on_o all_o man_n unfought_a for_o or_o unthought_a on_o by_o they_o for_o when_o god_n bring_v this_o gift_n to_o they_o adam_n run_v away_o from_o he_o therefore_o here_o god_n waâ—_n find_v of_o they_o which_o seek_v he_o not_o three_o here_o observe_v that_o this_o free_a gift_n of_o righteousness_n come_v upon_o all_o man_n when_o there_o be_v not_o any_o 4._o any_o see_v this_o justification_n before_o man_n faith_n and_o without_o faith_n clear_v in_o the_o answer_n to_o the_o 10_o objection_n in_o chap._n 4._o faith_n in_o man_n for_o we_o by_o adam_n faithlesse_o betray_v god_n truth_n and_o at_o this_o time_n as_o in_o our_o natural_a root_n in_o his_o loin_n run_v from_o the_o god_n of_o truth_n therefore_o faith_n foresee_v be_v now_o no_o cause_n or_o and_o passive_a the_o some_o of_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o covenant_n as_o precedent_o be_v prove_v chapt._n the_o 2._o so_o likewise_o the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o second_o adam_n his_o obedience_n passive_a and_o active_a be_v a_o estate_n of_o faith_n the_o condition_n of_o the_o covenant_n for_o the_o redemption_n of_o the_o world_n from_o whence_o the_o covenant_n be_v change_v by_o he_o from_o a_o covenant_n of_o wrathful_a justice_n to_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o mercy_n to_o all_o the_o world_n as_o chap._n 4._o likewise_o in_o this_o chapter_n we_o see_v he_o and_o he_o alone_o be_v the_o man_n which_o by_o say_v and_o love_n to_o god_n and_o his_o neighbour_n do_v live_v in_o the_o pure_a natural_n of_o the_o law_n to_o every_o tittle_n to_o redeem_v man_n which_o by_o apostasy_n bring_v himself_o under_o the_o curse_n for_o although_o the_o life_n of_o all_o believer_n beside_o christ_n be_v in_o this_o world_n a_o estate_n of_o faith_n and_o obedience_n and_o although_o god_n word_n of_o truth_n be_v his_o instrument_n to_o give_v to_o man_n christ_n righteousness_n and_o man_n faith_n his_o instrument_n to_o receive_v in_o that_o righteousness_n his_o blessedness_n yet_o between_o god_n and_o mankind_n neither_o of_o these_o be_v the_o condition_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n for_o as_o god_n on_o his_o part_n have_v not_o bind_v himself_o to_o either_o of_o these_o as_o a_o condition_n so_o neither_o have_v he_o bind_v all_o mankind_n absolute_o to_o believe_v or_o not_o to_o be_v save_v for_o if_o faith_n be_v the_o condition_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n god_n in_o justice_n can_v not_o save_v one_o of_o mankind_n which_o do_v not_o believe_v but_o it_o be_v already_o prove_v chap._n 4._o that_o a_o innumerable_a number_n of_o mankind_n depart_v this_o world_n in_o infancy_n childhood_n or_o the_o like_a by_o the_o universal_a grace_n of_o the_o covenant_n in_o christ_n jesus_n our_o saviour_n be_v save_v likewise_o so_o be_v all_o mankind_n without_o faith_n save_v from_o the_o damnation_n of_o adam_n sin_n to_o the_o praise_n of_o god_n grace_n to_o all_o eternity_n therefore_o although_o than_o man_n mouth_n whereby_o he_o receive_v his_o meat_n second_o be_v it_o so_o that_o as_o first_o upon_o adam_n fall_n so_o the_o second_o time_n in_o the_o promise_a seed_n with_o abraham_n by_o covenant_n that_o god_n elect_v predestinate_v and_o fore-appointed_n all_o mankind_n alike_o from_o perish_v in_o misery_n to_o grace_n and_o glory_n in_o christ_n jesus_n as_o here_o we_o see_v hence_o observe_v what_o be_v god_n most_o proper_a book_n of_o life_n namely_o the_o promise_a seed_n for_o in_o he_o all_o mankind_n be_v both_o time_n only_o write_v for_o grace_n and_o glory_n
