this_o sin_n of_o sabbath_n break_v and_o transgression_n of_o god_n four_o come_v in_o their_o several_a family_n the_o which_o without_o unfeigned_a repentance_n will_v make_v they_o liable_a unto_o all_o those_o curse_n temporal_a and_o eternal_a thereaten_v in_o god_n word_n against_o such_o as_o live_v in_o the_o transgression_n of_o god_n law_n and_o further_o if_o still_o they_o shall_v in_o time_n the_o seven_o day_n sabbath_n be_v abolish_v forthwith_o they_o fale_v to_o a_o erroniouse_a practice_n also_o &_o to_o trample_v upon_o god_n sabbath_n by_o profanation_n of_o they_o open_o and_o by_o call_v they_o jewish_a reproachful_o but_o happy_o they_o will_v reply_v say_v we_o do_v not_o throw_v down_o god_n sabbath_n but_o god_n himself_o do_v it_o for_o it_o be_v god_n that_o justification_n by_o the_o law_n and_o affirm_v it_o to_o be_v by_o faith_n that_o i_o intend_v thereby_o to_o abolish_v the_o law_n utter_o no_o god_n forbid_v for_o i_o establish_v the_o law_n the_o law_n must_v stand_v still_o in_o force_n etc._n etc._n that_o be_v for_o observation_n though_o not_o for_o justification_n for_o paul_n must_v be_v understand_v so_o to_o abolish_v the_o la_o in_o some_o sense_n as_o for_o all_o that_o he_o ratifi_v the_o la_o in_o another_o sense_n hereby_o we_o see_v then_o that_o the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n and_o justification_n by_o faith_n do_v not_o abolish_v the_o law_n yea_o so_o much_o the_o apostle_n say_v express_o do_v we_o then_o say_v he_o make_v the_o law_n of_o none_o effect_v through_o faith_n whence_o i_o thus_o argue_v that_o if_o observance_n of_o the_o law_n then_o when_o the_o sabbath_n day_n come_v these_o man_n be_v not_o bind_v to_o sanctify_v it_o it_o be_v a_o part_n of_o that_o law_n from_o which_o they_o be_v free_v end_n that_o we_o may_v vindicate_v the_o lord_n sabbath_n we_o have_v defend_v the_o moral_a law_n against_o anabaptist_n and_o antinomian_o and_o now_o in_o this_o and_o the_o follow_a chapter_n of_o this_o book_n for_o the_o same_o end_n namely_o to_o vindicate_v the_o lord_n sabbath_n we_o will_v defend_v the_o integrity_n and_o perfection_n of_o the_o moral_a law_n against_o protestant_n and_o papist_n for_o anabaptist_n and_o antinomian_o deny_v the_o whole_a la_o protestant_n and_o papist_n deny_v the_o wholnesse_n of_o the_o la_o they_o will_v yield_v no_o obedience_n at_o all_o that_o that_o present_a sunday_n be_v his_o sacred_a sabbath_n day_n the_o which_o god_n know_v be_v most_o false_a the_o same_o be_v true_a also_o of_o the_o minister_n use_v such_o prayer_n in_o his_o pulpit_n public_o again_o when_o night_n come_v do_v not_o such_o as_o use_v to_o call_v upon_o god_n morning_n and_o evening_n make_v a_o humble_a confesssion_n to_o god_n in_o their_o private_a family_n of_o their_o sin_n among_o which_o they_o rekone_v up_o their_o fail_n in_o the_o sanctification_n of_o that_o sabbath_n day_n now_o past_a for_o one_o thus_o they_o ignorant_o to_o pass_v that_o we_o shall_v shun_v the_o inconvenience_n on_o the_o one_o side_n &_o the_o sin_n on_o the_o other_o &_o so_o we_o may_v walk_v on_o comfortable_o without_o offence_n either_o to_o god_n or_o to_o man_n or_o injury_n to_o ourselves_o let_v we_o now_o therefore_o address_v ourselves_o unto_o this_o dispensation_n touch_v which_o first_o we_o will_v handle_v this_o question_n in_o contrary_a the_o seven_o commandment_n be_v a_o moral_a &_o yet_o there_o be_v a_o dispensation_n touch_v it_o for_o moses_n permit_v that_o for_o the_o hardness_n of_o the_o lewes_z heart_n which_o this_o case_n of_o necessity_n and_o dispensation_n to_o break_v the_o sabbath_n it_o be_v a_o heinouse_a and_o a_o fearful_a sin_n now_o in_o the_o exposition_n of_o the_o four_o commandment_n show_v that_o it_o may_v be_v eat_v to_o wit_n in_o a_o case_n of_o necessity_n and_o hunger_n do_v this_o man_n think_v you_o confute_v or_o confound_v himself_o or_o do_v he_o contradict_v himself_o trow_v you_o or_o rather_o do_v not_o such_o as_o idly_v so_o charge_n he_o bewray_v their_o weakness_n and_o ignorance_n that_o they_o know_v not_o what_o or_o where_o a_o contradiction_n be_v we_o go_v when_o and_o why_o we_o refrain_v the_o practice_n of_o the_o sabbath_n yet_o so_o great_a be_v their_o charity_n that_o nothing_o can_v please_v they_o but_o still_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v hypocrisy_n and_o for_o the_o proof_n hereof_o the_o hypocrisy_n of_o peter_n be_v allege_v gal._n 2.12.13_o and_o so_o we_o be_v condemn_v for_o hypocrisy_n as_o peter_n be_v for_o answer_v hereto_o first_o we_o must_v know_v what_o hypocrisy_n be_v hypocrisy_n therefore_o in_o the_o common_a sense_n of_o the_o word_n be_v when_o a_o man_n do_v make_v semblance_n &_o show_n to_o be_v they_o be_v full_a of_o bribery_n and_o excess_n and_o because_o they_o be_v like_a to_o white_v tomb_n which_o appear_v beautiful_a outward_o but_o within_o they_o be_v full_a of_o dead_a man_n bone_n and_o filthiness_n and_o because_o outward_o they_o appear_v righteouse_a to_o man_n but_o within_o be_v full_a of_o iniquity_n mat._n 23.25_o etc._n etc._n now_o this_o description_n of_o hypocrisy_n we_o be_v as_o free_v from_o it_o in_o this_o our_o practice_n as_o they_o be_v that_o tax_v we_o with_o it_o for_o where_o can_v they_o show_v that_o we_o use_v any_o of_o this_o hypocritical_a guile_n and_o dissimulation_n make_v a_o fair_a show_n outward_o of_o that_o which_o we_o practise_v not_o indeed_o &_o in_o truth_n if_o indeed_o we_o do_v outward_o profess_v that_o we_o keep_v the_o sabbath_n day_n in_o our_o family_n but_o when_o these_o man_n that_o so_o tax_v we_o come_v among_o we_o they_o see_v no_o such_o matter_n then_o they_o may_v tax_v we_o for_o hypocrisy_n but_o behold_v the_o quite_o contrary_a for_o we_o open_o fair_o and_o honest_o profess_v it_o that_o in_o our_o judgement_n we_o hold_v we_o be_v not_o bind_v unto_o the_o present_a practice_n as_o the_o case_n stand_v now_o according_a to_o this_o our_o open_a show_n appearance_n and_o profession_n just_a so_o be_v our_o practice_n at_o home_n for_o we_o keep_v not_o the_o sabbath_n day_n but_o the_o lord_n day_n let_v they_o tax_v we_o if_o they_o can_v where_o then_o be_v this_o hypocritical_a dissemble_n where_o be_v this_o guileful_a deal_n wherewithal_o they_o tax_v we_o so_o sore_o before_o the_o people_n in_o their_o pulpit_n can_v any_o man_n deal_v more_o fair_o than_o we_o do_v for_o our_o word_n and_o our_o deed_n go_v together_o it_o be_v a_o rule_n in_o divinity_n that_o if_o a_o brother_n actiones_fw-la may_v admit_v of_o a_o double_a sense_n the_o better_a sense_n be_v to_o be_v give_v but_o sure_a i_o be_o these_o man_n be_v far_o from_o the_o practice_n of_o this_o rule_n of_o charity_n whilst_o so_o uncharitable_o they_o have_v give_v the_o worse_a sense_n yea_o a_o false_a sense_n so_o far_o off_o they_o be_v from_o charritable_a constructiones_fw-la as_o they_o have_v stretch_v their_o wites_z upon_o the_o tainter_n to_o find_v out_o as_o bid_v a_o censure_n as_o possible_o can_v be_v make_v to_o make_v we_o to_o stink_n before_o the_o people_n &_o odiouse_a to_o all_o that_o know_v us._n but_o they_o shall_v give_v account_n to_o god_n for_o such_o slander_n one_o day_n when_o we_o shall_v be_v bless_v that_o have_v
