opinion_n that_o we_o have_v once_o conceive_v of_o our_o own_o good_a estate_n therefore_o whosoever_o mean_v to_o depend_v true_o upon_o god_n must_v by_o the_o often_o sight_n of_o himself_o in_o want_v of_o earnest_a consideration_n have_v of_o the_o several_a sum_n &_o parcel_n of_o the_o same_o may_v take_v it_o to_o be_v no_o great_a benefit_n to_o be_v discharge_v thereof_o but_o when_o the_o particular_n be_v summon_v and_o bring_v in_o and_o in_o the_o whole_a thereof_o appear_v to_o be_v a_o great_a matter_n to_o discharge_v he_o begin_v to_o change_v his_o mind_n and_o to_o take_v he_o for_o a_o special_a friend_n that_o will_v offer_v to_o answer_v it_o even_o so_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v with_o we_o while_o in_o general_a word_n of_o course_n we_o confess_v ourselves_o to_o be_v sinner_n and_o therefore_o indebt_v unto_o god_o but_o yet_o never_o true_o consider_v by_o true_a trial_n of_o ourselves_o in_o every_o commandment_n what_o the_o particular_n be_v whereof_o the_o general_n arise_v so_o great_a we_o make_v no_o great_a account_n of_o the_o mercy_n bring_v by_o christ_n for_o the_o discharge_n thereof_o because_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o debt_n and_o danger_n for_o want_n of_o sum_v the_o particular_n be_v not_o true_o know_v nor_o right_o consider_v of_o which_o be_v the_o thing_n that_o make_v a_o right_a reckon_n both_o of_o our_o our_o face_n etc_n etc_n but_o the_o godly_a man_n that_o ever_o live_v be_v never_o free_a from_o all_o those_o punishment_n that_o there_o be_v appoint_v for_o the_o transgressor_n of_o the_o law_n nor_o yet_o bless_v with_o all_o those_o blessing_n in_o all_o thing_n which_o be_v promise_v to_o they_o that_o keep_v the_o law_n 28._o and_o thereupon_o we_o may_v safe_o conclude_v that_o the_o unrighteousness_n that_o their_o obedience_n do_v not_o answer_v unto_o their_o knowledge_n which_o they_o have_v of_o god_o that_o they_o can_v claim_v nothing_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o deed_n which_o the_o lord_n from_o heaven_n have_v reprove_v by_o punishment_n bring_v in_o upon_o they_o and_o therefore_o he_o do_v strengthen_v his_o former_a affirmation_n that_o the_o just_a man_n shall_v live_v by_o faith_n which_o be_v his_o purpose_n to_o prove_v unto_o they_o and_o unto_o the_o which_o end_n he_o direct_v all_o his_o speech_n in_o those_o four_o chapter_n in_o like_a indebt_v unto_o god_o then_o before_o we_o be_v be_v it_o not_o blasphemy_n to_o say_v that_o because_o we_o have_v offend_v more_o therefore_o the_o justice_n of_o god_o shall_v be_v less_o then_o before_o it_o have_v be_v we_o confess_v it_o be_v just_a before_o the_o fall_n of_o man_n to_o require_v all_o these_o duty_n at_o our_o hand_n because_o he_o have_v give_v we_o power_n and_o ability_n to_o be_v able_a to_o perform_v they_o and_o can_v our_o sin_n so_o pull_v in_o the_o justice_n of_o god_o that_o now_o it_o shall_v no_o long_o be_v lawful_a for_o he_o to_o keep_v the_o same_o rule_n of_o equity_n which_o he_o do_v observe_v before_o moreover_o who_o can_v let_v the_o lord_n who_o be_v indebt_v unto_o no_o man_n to_o promise_v eternal_o life_n under_o what_o deed_n or_o covenant_n so_o ever_o seem_v good_a unto_o he_o shall_v it_o be_v unlawful_a for_o a_o man_n who_o have_v some_o portion_n of_o land_n to_o sell_v to_o say_v unto_o a_o poor_a man_n who_o be_v land_n of_o less_o value_n either_o else_o make_v it_o unlawful_a for_o he_o to_o require_v any_o thing_n like_o as_o the_o goodness_n of_o the_o ground_n do_v deserve_v no_o man_n will_v think_v this_o to_o have_v any_o equity_n or_o right_n in_o it_o no_o more_o sure_o have_v this_o other_o that_o our_o poverty_n and_o want_n shall_v make_v it_o unlawful_a for_o the_o lord_n to_o esteem_v the_o treasure_n of_o his_o kingdom_n above_o all_o the_o obedience_n that_o we_o can_v perform_v and_o to_o set_v they_o at_o a_o great_a price_n than_o this_o poverty_n and_o want_n that_o we_o be_v in_o shall_v ever_o be_v able_a to_o reach_v unto_o if_o it_o be_v further_o demand_v what_o meaning_n the_o lord_n have_v in_o promise_a life_n unto_o we_o for_o do_v of_o that_o which_o he_o know_v we_o never_o can_v perform_v and_o bring_v to_o pass_v it_o be_v to_o be_v answer_v that_o the_o lord_n do_v it_o to_o let_v we_o who_o be_v so_o well_o persuade_v by_o the_o nature_n of_o our_o own_o ability_n see_v clear_o into_o our_o poverty_n and_o want_n how_o great_a it_o be_v that_o we_o may_v have_v true_a trial_n within_o ourselves_o how_o great_o we_o be_v behold_v unto_o the_o free_a mercy_n of_o god_o in_o jesus_n christ_n when_o we_o shall_v have_v see_v plain_o by_o the_o law_n how_o unable_a we_o be_v to_o perform_v that_o there_o be_v require_v to_o be_v do_v of_o so_o many_o as_o hope_v for_o wage_n by_o reason_n of_o their_o work_n and_o that_o if_o we_o will_v lay_v claim_n to_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_o for_o our_o work_v we_o remain_v accurse_v for_o every_o sin_n and_o offence_n against_o the_o law_n commit_v by_o we_o because_o it_o be_v the_o write_a sentence_n of_o the_o law_n that_o he_o be_v curse_a that_o continue_v not_o in_o all_o thing_n that_o be_v write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n to_o do_v they_o than_o not_o from_o the_o bare_a speech_n of_o our_o mouth_n but_o from_o the_o true_a trial_n of_o our_o heart_n we_o be_v send_v to_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_o alone_o to_o stick_v whole_o unto_o they_o acknowledge_v all_o our_o goodness_n to_o proceed_v from_o thence_o alone_o and_o be_v compel_v by_o the_o sense_n and_o feel_n of_o our_o own_o want_n make_v know_v unto_o we_o by_o the_o law_n to_o let_v pass_v all_o that_o opinion_n of_o our_o own_o work_n which_o we_o before_o be_v so_o well_o persuade_v of_o as_o if_o some_o impotent_a and_o lame_a child_n that_o be_v in_o deed_n able_a to_o do_v nothing_o towards_o the_o earn_n of_o his_o live_a be_v chargeable_a to_o his_o father_n not_o only_o for_o himself_o but_o also_o for_o one_o that_o shall_v give_v attendance_n unto_o he_o shall_v in_o the_o foolish_a persuasion_n
upon_o we_o to_o let_v go_v the_o care_n of_o that_o and_o there_o to_o keep_v watch_n and_o ward_n where_o there_o be_v no_o assault_n make_v against_o we_o as_o if_o sathan_n shall_v sore_o or_o such_o other_o like_o grievous_a wound_n this_o mischief_n be_v redress_v by_o the_o law_n by_o the_o light_n whereof_o we_o clear_o perceive_v where_o the_o force_n of_o the_o adversary_n lie_v soare_v upon_o we_o that_o we_o may_v turn_v our_o prayer_n and_o all_o spiritual_a armour_n to_o that_o part_n especial_o so_o shall_v our_o prayer_n not_o be_v cast_v off_o without_o care_n at_o adventure_n and_o by_o custom_n but_o be_v both_o warn_v of_o great_a danger_n which_o without_o the_o alarm_n of_o the_o law_n we_o will_v not_o have_v fear_v and_o also_o have_v warning_n to_o what_o place_n the_o adversary_n direct_v his_o power_n our_o prayer_n may_v careful_o and_o direct_o stand_v against_o it_o now_o let_v we_o pray_v unto_o our_o heavenly_a father_n that_o we_o may_v learn_v by_o the_o law_n both_o to_o be_v humble_v under_o his_o mercy_n and_o also_o to_o be_v direct_v unto_o his_o own_o good_a pleasure_n &_o will_n to_o the_o praise_n of_o his_o name_n and_o our_o own_o everlasting_a comfort_n etc_n etc_n the_o fourteen_o lecture_n upon_o the_o third_o chapter_n of_o s._n john_n verse_n 16._o so_o god_n love_v the_o world_n that_o he_o have_v give_v his_o of_o our_o evil_a do_n neither_o yet_o that_o by_o prayer_n or_o satisfaction_n whatsoever_o we_o can_v deliver_v either_o ourselves_o or_o other_o from_o the_o danger_n in_o this_o life_n and_o much_o less_o in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v we_o confess_v that_o howsoever_o we_o humble_v ourselves_o by_o repentance_n prayer_n and_o fruit_n of_o good_a live_n when_o his_o rod_n of_o correction_n be_v upon_o we_o that_o it_o be_v only_o the_o free_a benefit_n of_o christ_n to_o deliver_v from_o the_o danger_n thereof_o and_o to_o put_v a_o happy_a end_n unto_o it_o we_o do_v not_o thank_v our_o deed_n for_o it_o when_o we_o come_v forth_o of_o trouble_n albeit_o that_o we_o have_v plentiful_o bring_v forth_o the_o fruit_n of_o good_a life_n we_o acknowledge_v it_o to_o be_v only_o the_o work_n of_o christ_n who_o be_v make_v of_o god_n the_o father_n unto_o we_o redemption_n to_o deliver_v we_o from_o sin_n and_o all_o those_o punishment_n that_o come_v unto_o man_n for_o it_o in_o this_o benefit_n of_o christ_n there_o appear_v a_o great_a difference_n between_o the_o child_n of_o god_n and_o the_o child_n of_o this_o world_n for_o the_o child_n of_o god_n glory_n in_o trouble_n know_v that_o it_o will_v bring_v upon_o they_o experience_n and_o trial_n of_o god_n his_o goodness_n in_o the_o end_n as_o the_o apostle_n teach_v us._n 5.4_o for_o christ_n be_v make_v unto_o they_o redemption_n from_o sin_n and_o all_o the_o punishment_n thereof_o whereas_o the_o ungodly_a how_o so_o ever_o in_o prosperity_n they_o fleshly_a brag_n of_o their_o hope_n in_o god_n yet_o when_o affliction_n come_v they_o be_v without_o all_o heart_n comfort_n or_o courage_n for_o why_o in_o truth_n they_o know_v not_o that_o christ_n be_v make_v redemption_n unto_o they_o to_o deliver_v they_o from_o all_o that_o danger_n that_o come_v for_o sin_n as_o well_o as_o from_o sin_n itself_o this_o persuasion_n cause_v the_o godly_a in_o all_o their_o affliction_n and_o necessity_n whatsoever_o to_o stay_v themselves_o in_o godly_a conversation_n both_o toward_o god_n and_o man_n with_o patience_n and_o assure_a hope_n of_o a_o happy_a end_n when_o as_o the_o ungodly_a either_o murmur_n against_o god_n either_o else_o fall_v into_o some_o one_o evil_a deal_n or_o other_o thereby_o to_o purchase_v their_o deliverance_n which_o be_v a_o assure_a testimony_n that_o they_o do_v not_o look_v to_o have_v it_o from_o the_o lord_n now_o we_o have_v hear_v what_o several_a benefit_n do_v come_v with_o christ_n and_o that_o we_o do_v not_o receive_v he_o naked_a and_o alone_a but_o according_a as_o he_o be_v give_v unto_o we_o from_o god_n the_o father_n clothe_v with_o wisdom_n righteousness_n holiness_n and_o redemption_n thus_o be_v he_o give_v unto_o the_o believer_n and_o thus_o be_v he_o receive_v of_o the_o believer_n and_o hereby_o we_o may_v clear_o understand_v what_o faith_n be_v even_o that_o which_o find_v all_o want_n in_o itself_o and_o all_o plenty_n in_o christ_n that_o be_v poor_a at_o home_n and_o rich_a abroad_o that_o in_o her_o necessity_n boast_v and_o be_v comfortable_a in_o a_o other_o man_n plenty_n that_o never_o rest_v in_o herself_o nor_o any_o thing_n of_o her_o own_o have_v she_o never_o so_o great_a plenty_n in_o respect_n of_o other_o and_o yet_o be_v joyful_a comfortable_a and_o well_o pay_v and_o satisfy_v with_o christ_n in_o her_o great_a want_n for_o faith_n be_v not_o so_o high_o commend_v as_o it_o be_v a_o work_n of_o we_o for_o so_o it_o be_v imperfect_a as_o all_o other_o be_v that_o come_v from_o we_o but_o because_o it_o give_v all_o glory_n from_o we_o unto_o god_n therefore_o have_v it_o so_o just_a commendation_n in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n we_o give_v the_o most_o unto_o it_o because_o it_o give_v nothing_o unto_o we_o that_o god_n may_v have_v all_o glory_n and_o that_o he_o that_o will_v glory_v may_v glory_v in_o the_o lord_n we_o do_v not_o exalt_v it_o above_o other_o thing_n that_o proceed_v from_o we_o because_o it_o do_v exalt_v we_o but_o because_o it_o do_v abase_v we_o that_o christ_n may_v be_v exalt_v therefore_o do_v we_o magnify_v it_o for_o faith_n find_v perfection_n in_o god_n and_o imperfection_n in_o we_o faith_n find_v true_a wisdom_n to_o be_v in_o christ_n charge_v all_o the_o world_n with_o folly_n in_o their_o wit_n be_v they_o never_o so_o wise_a in_o the_o opinion_n of_o man_n before_o they_o be_v lighten_v with_o the_o understanding_n of_o his_o wisdom_n set_v forth_o in_o his_o word_n faith_n find_v true_a righteousness_n in_o christ_n alone_o and_o charge_v all_o man_n with_o unrighteousness_n in_o themselves_o as_o wither_a branch_n proceed_v out_o of_o the_o rot_a stock_n of_o adam_n their_o first_o father_n until_o we_o be_v graft_v into_o christ_n the_o root_n of_o all_o righteousness_n faith_n find_v true_a sanctification_n and_o holiness_n of_o life_n in_o christ_n and_o charge_v all_o man_n how_o civil_o and_o honest_o so_o ever_o they_o live_v in_o the_o judgement_n of_o man_n to_o be_v of_o a_o profane_a and_o unholy_a nature_n and_o disposition_n except_o they_o have_v it_o reform_v by_o special_a grace_n from_o christ_n faith_n find_v deliverance_n from_o all_o danger_n in_o christ_n and_o charge_v the_o deed_n of_o all_o man_n with_o want_n of_o ability_n in_o that_o behalf_n thus_o we_o learn_v that_o faith_n do_v find_v all_o those_o thing_n in_o christ_n and_o the_o want_n of_o every_o one_o of_o they_o in_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n nay_o which_o worse_o be_v a_o counterfeit_a of_o every_o one_o of_o they_o deep_o imprint_v in_o we_o a_o counterfeit_a wisdom_n of_o man_n his_o wit_n and_o invention_n for_o the_o true_a wisdom_n of_o his_o word_n counterfeit_a righteousness_n of_o our_o corrupt_a work_n for_o the_o true_a righteousness_n bring_v and_o wrought_v by_o christ_n alone_o a_o feign_a devotion_n ground_v by_o our_o own_o good_a intent_n for_o holiness_n and_o sanctification_n of_o life_n and_o well_o do_v guide_v and_o direct_v by_o his_o word_n a_o false_a persuasion_n to_o avoid_v danger_n by_o our_o own_o satisfaction_n in_o stead_n of_o a_o assure_a stand_v to_o his_o redemption_n and_o delivery_n in_o all_o our_o necessity_n and_o want_n these_o be_v the_o wither_a branch_n of_o that_o rot_a root_n our_o old_a adam_n and_o the_o nature_n and_o disposition_n of_o all_o man_n go_v this_o way_n except_o they_o be_v reclaim_v by_o christ_n as_o all_o those_o be_v in_o his_o appoint_a time_n that_o shall_v inherit_v with_o he_o in_o his_o kingdom_n in_o as_o much_o as_o we_o do_v clear_o understand_v what_o be_v in_o we_o before_o that_o christ_n shall_v call_v we_o it_o shall_v be_v profitable_a to_o consider_v whether_o after_o that_o christ_n have_v lay_v claim_n unto_o he_o and_o give_v they_o that_o in_o truth_n which_o before_o they_o have_v in_o show_n faith_n do_v yet_o find_v any_o such_o want_n tempest_n or_o health_n do_v succeed_v sickness_n when_o deliverance_n come_v after_o imprisonment_n or_o plenty_n after_o poverty_n these_o be_v so_o often_o see_v by_o experience_n to_o come_v one_o after_o a_o other_o that_o notwithstanding_o man_n have_v in_o their_o distress_n pray_v for_o they_o yet_o hardly_o can_v they_o be_v bring_v to_o think_v that_o they_o be_v blessing_n grant_v to_o faithful_a prayer_n but_o rather_o imagine_v that_o they_o be_v thing_n cast_v here_o and_o there_o upon_o man_n at_o adventure_n and_o therefore_o where_o man_n be_v in_o those_o or_o such_o like_a distress_n they_o hardly_o or_o not_o at_o all_o conceive_v any_o hope_n to_o he_o hear_v seldom_o do_v they_o make_v any_o suit_n unto_o god_n in_o faith_n especial_o if_o those_o affliction_n lay_v sore_o upon_o they_o but_o the_o child_n of_o god_n know_v that_o they_o be_v promise_v to_o have_v the_o lord_n near_o unto_o they_o in_o all_o that_o they_o shall_v call_v unto_o he_o for_o and_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v hear_v for_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o day_n upon_o his_o day_n as_o their_o occasion_n require_v so_o do_v they_o seek_v unto_o the_o lord_n be_v sure_a in_o continuance_n to_o find_v comfort_n at_o his_o hand_n and_o why_o they_o know_v assure_o that_o the_o lord_n will_v have_v his_o mercy_n and_o power_n try_v and_o see_v here_o upon_o the_o earth_n in_o hear_v the_o request_n of_o his_o in_o their_o distress_n that_o by_o that_o mean_v he_o may_v be_v true_o fear_v and_o honour_v of_o they_o according_a as_o it_o be_v prove_v in_o the_o book_n of_o king_n 8.43_o and_o also_o that_o by_o his_o hear_n of_o their_o petition_n in_o those_o their_o distress_n they_o may_v be_v confirm_v in_o the_o persuasion_n that_o god_o favour_v they_o remit_v their_o sin_n and_o be_v at_o one_o with_o they_o be_v favourable_o incline_v unto_o they_o in_o all_o their_o needful_a demand_n whosoever_o shall_v diligent_o consider_v of_o the_o place_n of_o scripture_n in_o the_o old_a testament_n apply_v by_o the_o apostle_n to_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n shall_v easy_o perceive_v that_o the_o godly_a have_v take_v their_o deliverance_n from_o their_o distress_n as_o pledge_n of_o the_o remission_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o assurance_n that_o god_n for_o christ_n be_v at_o one_o with_o they_o for_o their_o temporal_a blessing_n be_v not_o receive_v of_o they_o but_o as_o confirmation_n of_o his_o reconciliation_n with_o they_o which_o prove_v that_o which_o be_v say_v before_o that_o the_o lord_n hear_v the_o prayer_n of_o he_o in_o their_o necessity_n to_o strengthen_v their_o faith_n in_o the_o remission_n of_o sin_n and_o persuasion_n that_o god_o for_o christ_n be_v become_v fatherly_a affect_v towards_o they_o his_o promise_n be_v visible_o confirm_v to_o they_o in_o deuteronomie_n there_o be_v promise_n make_v unto_o they_o that_o do_v give_v diligent_a heed_n unto_o the_o law_n and_o commandment_n of_o god_n to_o obey_v they_o 28.10_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v bless_v in_o the_o fruit_n of_o their_o body_n in_o the_o fruit_n of_o their_o cattle_n in_o their_o come_n in_o and_o go_v out_o in_o all_o that_o they_o shall_v put_v their_o hand_n unto_o in_o cause_v their_o enemy_n that_o rise_v against_o they_o to_o fall_v before_o their_o face_n and_o the_o cause_n be_v add_v in_o the_o ten_o verse_n in_o these_o word_n then_o cause_n do_v his_o people_n crave_v those_o temporal_a benefit_n even_o that_o it_o may_v be_v see_v that_o he_o rule_v upon_o earth_n stand_v by_o he_o as_o he_o have_v promise_v wherefore_o whensoever_o their_o enemy_n oppress_v they_o or_o by_o the_o want_n of_o any_o his_o accustom_a benefit_n they_o seem_v not_o to_o be_v regard_v of_o the_o lord_n they_o complain_v unto_o he_o not_o have_v be_v say_v it_o do_v appear_v that_o when_o we_o be_v oppress_v with_o anguish_n of_o heart_n or_o vex_v with_o any_o calamity_n either_o of_o body_n or_o mind_n we_o have_v to_o seek_v our_o remedy_n at_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o lord_n by_o prayer_n in_o assure_a hope_n to_o receive_v no_o small_a comfort_n thereby_o if_o in_o faith_n and_o hope_n of_o his_o mercy_n we_o continue_v in_o call_v upon_o his_o name_n it_o be_v a_o very_a hard_a matter_n and_o the_o work_n of_o faith_n alone_o when_o a_o man_n be_v sore_o distress_a &_o see_v no_o mean_n to_o escape_v then_o to_o call_v upon_o god_n with_o faith_n and_o hope_n of_o be_v hear_v and_o if_o help_n shall_v come_v it_o be_v as_o hard_a a_o matter_n to_o ascribe_v it_o unto_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n as_o the_o fruit_n of_o prayer_n and_o a_o assure_a token_n of_o his_o goodwill_n render_v from_o the_o ground_n of_o our_o heart_n the_o praise_n that_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o for_o it_o and_o strengthen_v our_o faith_n thereby_o in_o the_o persuasion_n of_o his_o mercy_n towards_o we_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n glorify_v god_n in_o these_o thing_n acknowledge_v from_o his_o heart_n that_o god_n be_v the_o giver_n
upon_o we_o by_o offend_v but_o also_o the_o punishment_n whatsoever_o that_o follow_v thereupon_o as_o shall_v hereafter_o god_n will_v most_o plain_o appear_v we_o be_v therefore_o put_v in_o hope_n by_o this_o petition_n to_o have_v as_o well_o the_o punishment_n as_o the_o fault_n of_o our_o sin_n pardon_v &_o forgive_v we_o so_o that_o when_o any_o punishment_n of_o god_n be_v upon_o he_o they_o need_v not_o to_o despair_v for_o we_o be_v teach_v and_o command_v by_o he_o to_o make_v suit_n for_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n which_o can_v not_o be_v do_v in_o faith_n if_o the_o lord_n have_v not_o promise_v unto_o we_o the_o pardon_n &_o forgiveness_n thereof_o the_o godly_a at_o all_o time_n when_o any_o affliction_n be_v upon_o they_o have_v resort_v to_o the_o lord_n for_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o why_o be_v we_o not_o teach_v so_o to_o do_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n 8._o do_v not_o the_o prayer_n of_o solomon_n leave_v this_o for_o a_o perpetual_a doctrine_n unto_o the_o church_n that_o when_o any_o punishment_n be_v upon_o those_o that_o be_v his_o they_o shall_v confess_v their_o sin_n in_o truth_n with_o a_o assure_a hope_n in_o so_o do_v to_o find_v favour_n at_o his_o hand_n and_o ease_n of_o their_o grief_n when_o they_o shall_v true_o turn_v unto_o he_o according_a as_o it_o be_v write_v in_o that_o chapter_n in_o these_o word_n 33._o when_o thy_o people_n israel_n shall_v be_v overthrow_v before_o the_o enemy_n because_o they_o have_v sin_v against_o thou_o and_o turn_v again_o to_o thou_o and_o confess_v thy_o name_n only_o in_o the_o remove_n of_o the_o fault_n from_o they_o but_o also_o of_o the_o punishment_n that_o be_v due_a for_o the_o fault_n &_o transgression_n for_o he_o pray_v that_o when_o the_o people_n shall_v be_v lead_v out_o of_o their_o land_n by_o their_o enemy_n because_o they_o have_v sin_v against_o the_o lord_n that_o if_o they_o shall_v confess_v their_o sin_n and_o turn_v unto_o the_o lord_n then_o he_o will_v be_v merciful_a and_o bring_v they_o again_o unto_o the_o land_n which_o be_v to_o remove_v the_o punishment_n from_o they_o as_o well_o as_o the_o fault_n and_o guiltiness_n this_o be_v that_o punishment_n to_o be_v captive_n and_o prisoner_n in_o their_o enemy_n land_n when_o they_o be_v bring_v home_o this_o punishment_n be_v remove_v the_o like_a proof_n we_o have_v of_o this_o matter_n in_o the_o same_o chapter_n in_o these_o word_n when_o heaven_n shall_v be_v shut_v up_o 35._o &_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o rain_n because_o they_o have_v sin_v against_o thou_o and_o shall_v pray_v in_o this_o place_n and_o turn_v from_o their_o sin_n when_o thou_o do_v afflict_v they_o then_o hear_v thou_o in_o heaven_n &_o pardon_v the_o sin_n of_o thy_o the_o fault_n of_o he_o and_o yet_o retain_v still_o the_o punishment_n which_o they_o say_v must_v be_v redeem_v by_o their_o satisfaction_n a_o dangerous_a doctrine_n that_o god_n shall_v absolve_v they_o of_o the_o fault_n &_o yet_o press_v they_o with_o the_o punishment_n which_o do_v not_o appertain_v unto_o they_o but_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o offence_n because_o they_o be_v faulty_a this_o doctrine_n charge_v the_o lord_n with_o injury_n for_o if_o he_o shall_v remit_v &_o forgive_v the_o fault_n &_o yet_o reserve_v the_o punishment_n he_o punish_v without_o a_o cause_n for_o where_o the_o fault_n be_v pardon_v the_o man_n be_v as_o if_o he_o have_v not_o offend_v he_o be_v no_o long_o account_v a_o trespasser_n can_v it_o then_o stand_v with_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o lord_n to_o punish_v he_o who_o he_o himself_o have_v justify_v as_o no_o offender_n in_o the_o free_a pardon_v and_o forgive_n of_o his_o fault_n we_o do_v see_v it_o throughout_o this_o chapter_n
