corinthian_n that_o be_v strong_o conceit_v they_o do_v belong_v to_o christ_n when_o they_o do_v not_o and_o have_v a_o ill_a opinion_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o think_v they_o do_v not_o belong_v to_o christ_n and_o to_o such_o as_o these_o the_o apostle_n paul_n here_o speak_v man_n may_v be_v strong_o conceit_v they_o have_v a_o interest_n in_o christ_n when_o there_o be_v no_o such_o matter_n as_o it_o be_v with_o the_o church_n of_o laodioea_n in_o rev._n 3._o 17._o thou_o say_v i_o be_o rich_a and_o increase_v in_o good_n and_o have_v need_n of_o nothing_o and_o know_v 17._o not_o that_o thou_o be_v wretched_a and_o miserable_a and_o poor_a and_o blind_a and_o naked_a 2._o another_o cautelary_a conclusion_n i_o will_v have_v you_o take_v notice_n of_o be_v this_o that_o in_o lay_v down_o the_o character_n of_o a_o man_n that_o have_v a_o interest_n in_o christ_n i_o do_v not_o
so_o press_v they_o as_o that_o unless_o you_o have_v they_o all_o in_o you_o you_o can_v have_v a_o interest_n in_o christ_n for_o if_o you_o have_v but_o one_o of_o they_o in_o you_o in_o truth_n and_o sincerity_n it_o be_v a_o evidence_n that_o you_o have_v a_o interest_n in_o christ_n i_o give_v you_o this_o caution_n for_o fear_n of_o cast_v down_o any_o poor_a deject_a soul_n if_o you_o have_v but_o one_o link_n of_o this_o golden_a chain_n you_o have_v as_o sure_a hold_n as_o if_o you_o have_v all_o of_o it_o 3._o in_o lay_v down_o these_o character_n of_o one_o that_o have_v a_o confident_o assure_v that_o they_o have_v a_o interest_n in_o christ_n but_o i_o do_v not_o say_v that_o those_o that_o have_v not_o these_o character_n in_o they_o have_v not_o a_o interest_n christ_n for_o shall_v i_o say_v so_o i_o shall_v cast_v down_o many_o a_o humble_a and_o deject_a soul_n i_o do_v not_o say_v that_o if_o you_o have_v not_o these_o character_n in_o you_o you_o all_o these_o in_o exercise_n and_o feeling_n and_o in_o your_o own_o apprehension_n can_v only_o evidence_n your_o have_v a_o interest_n in_o christ_n but_o if_o you_o have_v they_o in_o habit_n and_o in_o truth_n though_o not_o in_o exercise_n and_o practice_v it_o be_v sufficient_a to_o evidence_n your_o interest_n in_o christ_n for_o a_o poor_a soul_n may_v have_v many_o grace_n of_o god_n spirit_n in_o truth_n in_o he_o though_o he_o do_v not_o feel_v and_o exercise_n and_o apprehend_v they_o in_o himself_o as_o i_o tell_v you_o it_o be_v with_o mary_n magdalen_n she_o talk_v to_o christ_n face_n to_o face_n and_o say_v she_o they_o have_v 12._o take_v away_o my_o lord_n and_o i_o know_v not_o where_o they_o have_v lay_v he_o and_o thus_o i_o have_v do_v with_o the_o caution_n 3._o you_o be_v apt_a to_o run_v into_o small_a sin_n with_o more_o frequency_n than_o you_o commit_v great_a sin_n for_o they_o be_v so_o open_a to_o the_o reproof_n of_o the_o word_n and_o so_o obvious_a to_o the_o eye_n of_o all_o man_n that_o you_o can_v find_v opportunity_n to_o commit_v they_o so_o often_o whereas_o small_a sin_n you_o commit_v again_o and_o again_o and_o one_o day_n after_o another_o and_o a_o thousand_o time_n in_o one_o day_n and_o yet_o never_o take_v notice_n of_o they_o and_o therefore_o this_o may_v convince_v you_o that_o your_o exemption_n from_o great_a sin_n can_v be_v no_o sufficient_a ground_n to_o build_v your_o hope_n for_o heaven_n upon_o 4._o you_o that_o build_v your_o hope_n for_o heaven_n upon_o this_o ground_n because_o your_o sin_n be_v none_o of_o the_o great_a let_v i_o tell_v you_o that_o the_o small_a sin_n that_o ever_o you_o commit_v in_o all_o your_o life_n time_n without_o repentance_n on_o thy_o part_n and_o satisfaction_n on_o christ_n part_n will_v forever_o keep_v thy_o soul_n out_o of_o heaven_n if_o you_o repent_v peradventure_o you_o shall_v be_v pardon_v the_o small_a sin_n can_v be_v forgive_v without_o the_o that_o there_o be_v never_o any_o wine_n drink_v till_o that_o time_n for_o noah_n do_v then_o begin_v to_o be_v a_o husbandman_n and_o do_v plant_v a_o vineyard_n but_o now_o there_o be_v never_o a_o one_o of_o you_o but_o do_v very_o well_o know_v that_o wine_n and_o strong_a beer_n and_o the_o like_a will_v intoxicate_a you_o and_o yet_o you_o will_v not_o refrain_v from_o excess_n in_o drink_v there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o difference_n between_o you_o and_o noah_n 2._o noah_n be_v drink_v but_o he_o do_v not_o proclaim_v his_o drunkenness_n but_o the_o text_n say_v he_o go_v into_o his_o tent_n and_o sleep_v he_o be_v ashamed_a 9_o of_o what_o he_o have_v do_v but_o now_o you_o proclaim_v your_o sin_n and_o swear_v and_o stare_v and_o commit_v many_o other_o sin_n in_o your_o drunkenness_n 3._o it_o be_v true_a noah_n be_v drink_v but_o you_o never_o read_v that_o he_o be_v drink_v any_o more_o than_o once_o but_o you_o be_v drink_v again_o and_o again_o one_o day_n after_o another_o 4._o though_o he_o do_v once_o fall_v into_o this_o sin_n yet_o for_o the_o ordinary_a course_n and_o practice_v of_o his_o life_n he_o be_v a_o upright_a man_n in_o his_o generation_n whereas_o it_o may_v be_v your_o ordinary_a and_o frequent_a practice_n be_v drunkenness_n 5._o noah_n be_v a_o age_a man_n and_o in_o this_o regard_n his_o age_n may_v call_v for_o more_o wine_n and_o strong_a liquor_n to_o cheer_v up_o his_o spirit_n then_o young_a people_n do_v want_v so_o that_o all_o these_o consideration_n do_v little_a mitigate_v and_o allay_v noah_n
