4._o to_o believe_v before_o all_o the_o quaker_n in_o the_o world_n rom._n 1._o 20._o for_o the_o invisible_a thing_n of_o he_o from_o they_o creation_n of_o the_o world_n be_v clear_o see_v be_v understand_v by_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v make_v even_o his_o eternal_a power_n and_o godhead_n either_o they_o never_o read_v this_o scripture_n or_o the_o beam_n be_v in_o their_o eye_n who_o shall_v say_v there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n to_o know_v god_n but_o christ_n if_o he_o have_v say_v no_o other_o way_n to_o know_v god_n saving_o without_o christ_n he_o have_v save_v his_o credit_n here_o and_o hit_v the_o mark_n but_o what_o will_v not_o man_n say_v that_o have_v a_o mind_n the_o scripture_n shall_v be_v silent_a the_o reason_n he_o ground_n this_o upon_o be_v of_o like_a strength_n to_o most_v which_o they_o produce_v under_o that_o name_n or_o form_n for_o christ_n be_v the_o way_n now_o this_o scripture_n do_v not_o speak_v of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n but_o of_o come_v to_o god_n which_o be_v somewhat_o more_o than_o a_o bare_a knowledge_n of_o god_n which_o must_v have_v a_o be_v in_o we_o before_o we_o can_v come_v or_o move_v towards_o he_o but_o suppose_v he_o have_v say_v there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n to_o come_v to_o god_n but_o christ_n only_o he_o have_v speak_v false_o for_o though_o there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n to_o come_v to_o god_n 5._o without_o christ_n yet_o there_o be_v many_o other_o way_n to_o come_v to_o god_n by_o in_o conjunction_n with_o and_o subordination_n to_o christ_n so_o our_o read_v the_o scripture_n knowledge_n of_o our_o alienation_n from_o god_n our_o sin_n guilt_n and_o danger_n sanctification_n etc._n etc._n these_o be_v all_o way_n and_o mean_n by_o which_o we_o come_v to_o god_n add_v to_o these_o faith_n love_n yet_o who_o will_v say_v that_o any_o of_o these_o be_v christ_n except_o james_n naylor_n who_o say_v christ_n be_v the_o word_n and_o prayer_n but_o though_o we_o make_v these_o to_o be_v some_o way_n and_o mean_n of_o come_v to_o god_n we_o make_v not_o any_o of_o they_o the_o way_n as_o the_o most_o excellent_a and_o only_a way_n nor_o do_v we_o make_v they_o our_o saviour_n and_o mediator_n and_o intercessor_n with_o god_n for_o we_o nor_o that_o they_o by_o shed_v their_o blood_n satisfy_v god_n justice_n and_o appease_v his_o anger_n and_o make_v reconciliation_n between_o god_n and_o man_n and_o yet_o without_o these_o any_o one_o of_o they_o at_o least_o such_o as_o be_v within_o their_o reach_n no_o person_n can_v be_v save_v or_o be_v reunite_v to_o god_n i_o will_v give_v you_o a_o demonstration_n as_o easy_a as_o sense_n itself_o suppose_v that_o over_o a_o great_a and_o deep_a river_n there_o 6._o be_v but_o one_o bridge_n and_o he_o that_o will_v go_v to_o the_o other_o side_n must_v go_v by_o this_o bridge_n and_o it_o shall_v be_v say_v and_o true_o no_o man_n can_v get_v to_o the_o other_o side_n of_o the_o river_n but_o by_o this_o bridge_n will_v this_o conclude_v that_o you_o must_v not_o inquire_v where_o this_o bridge_n be_v how_o you_o may_v pass_v over_o by_o it_o that_o you_o must_v not_o take_v those_o passage_n and_o step_n that_o lead_v to_o the_o bridge_n that_o you_o must_v not_o have_v and_o use_v your_o leg_n and_o your_o eye_n and_o all_o because_o you_o can_v get_v over_o but_o by_o thy_o
