real_a acquaintance_n with_o jesus_n christ_n however_o this_o i_o be_o certain_a of_o that_o this_o communion_n in_o its_o self_n produce_v quite_o other_o effect_n than_o those_o suppose_a for_o 1._o for_o repentance_n it_o be_v i_o suppose_v a_o gospel_n repentance_n that_o §_o 58_o be_v intend_v for_o a_o legal_a bondage_n repentance_n full_a of_o dread_n amazement_n terror_n self-love_n astonishment_n at_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n i_o confess_v this_o communion_n take_v it_o away_o prevent_v it_o cast_v it_o out_o with_o its_o bondage_n and_o fear_n but_o for_o gospel_n repentance_n who_o nature_n consist_v in_o godly_a sorrow_n for_o sin_n with_o its_o relinquishment_n proceed_v from_o faith_n love_n and_o abhorrency_n of_o sin_n on_o account_n of_o father_n son_n and_o spirit_n both_o law_n and_o love_n that_o this_o shall_v be_v hinder_v by_o this_o communion_n be_v not_o possible_a i_o tell_v you_o that_o the_o foundation_n of_o this_o communion_n be_v lay_v in_o a_o deep_a serious_a daily_a consideration_n of_o sin_n its_o guilt_n vileness_n and_o abomination_n and_o our_o own_o vileness_n on_o that_o account_n that_o a_o sense_n hereof_o be_v to_o be_v keep_v alive_a in_o and_o upon_o the_o heart_n of_o every_o one_o that_o will_v enjoy_v this_o communion_n with_o christ_n without_o it_o christ_n be_v of_o no_o value_n nor_o esteem_v to_o he_o now_o be_v it_o possible_a that_o a_o man_n shall_v daily_o fill_v his_o heart_n with_o the_o thought_n of_o the_o vileness_n of_o sin_n on_o all_o consideration_n what_o ever_o of_o law_n love_n grace_n gospel_n life_n and_o death_n and_o be_v fill_v with_o self_n abhorrency_n on_o this_o account_n and_o yet_o be_v a_o stranger_n to_o godly_a sorrow_n here_o be_v the_o mistake_n the_o foundation_n of_o this_o communion_n be_v lay_v in_o that_o which_o they_o suppose_v it_o overthrow_v 2._o but_o what_o shall_v we_o say_v for_o obedience_n if_o christ_n be_v so_o glorify_v §_o 59_o and_o honour_v by_o take_v our_o sin_n the_o more_o we_o bring_v to_o he_o the_o more_o will_v he_o be_v glorify_v a_o man_n can_v not_o suppose_v that_o this_o objection_n will_v be_v make_v but_o that_o the_o holy_a ghost_n who_o know_v what_o be_v in_o man_n and_o his_o heart_n have_v make_v it_o for_o they_o and_o in_o their_o name_n rom._n 6._o 1_o 2_o 3._o the_o very_a same_o doctrine_n that_o i_o have_v insist_v on_o be_v deliver_v chap._n 5._o 18_o 19_o 20._o the_o same_o
