outward_a gesture_n or_o internal_a and_o principal_a which_o consist_v in_o these_o four_o point_n first_o that_o thou_o render_v unto_o christ_n most_o devout_a and_o hearty_a thanks_n for_o that_o his_o passion_n and_o death_n which_o for_o thy_o sake_n he_o suffer_v and_o sustain_v second_o that_o thou_o take_v the_o sacred_a bread_n do_v make_v sure_a thy_o faith_n and_o appropriate_v unto_o thyself_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n passion_n and_o so_o of_o the_o break_n of_o his_o body_n upon_o the_o cross_n cherish_v &_o strengthen_v thy_o conscience_n with_o that_o assurance_n and_o then_o take_v the_o wine_n that_o thou_o bethink_v with_o thyself_o how_o that_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n be_v shed_v for_o thy_o sin_n and_o so_o withal_o reviue_v and_o fill_v with_o joy_n thy_o droop_a conscience_n three_o this_o devotion_n must_v be_v also_o in_o consideration_n of_o thy_o own_o self_n that_o thou_o do_v hereafter_o dedicate_v and_o consecrate_v thyself_o whole_o both_o unto_o the_o lord_n supper_n and_o together_o with_o it_o have_v lay_v down_o the_o sum_n and_o epitome_n of_o all_o divinity_n now_o what_o remain_v but_o that_o we_o earnest_o entreat_v of_o god_n since_o his_o word_n be_v a_o lantern_n unto_o our_o foot_n and_o a_o light_n to_o our_o path_n that_o he_o will_v enlighten_v our_o mind_n and_o open_v our_o heart_n that_o we_o may_v understand_v the_o undoubted_a truth_n of_o his_o holy_a word_n and_o be_v pious_o transform_v into_o those_o thing_n which_o we_o understand_v so_o that_o we_o may_v not_o in_o any_o thing_n displease_v his_o heavenly_a majesty_n and_o that_o for_o christ_n jesus_n sake_n our_o lord_n and_o only_a saviour_n so_o be_v it_o a_o brief_a direction_n how_o to_o examine_v ourselves_o before_o we_o go_v to_o the_o lord_n table_n how_o to_o behave_v ourselves_o there_o and_o how_o to_o try_v ourselves_o afterward_o before_o we_o must_v dare_v to_o come_v to_o the_o holy_a communion_n we_o must_v diligent_o
