against_o knowledge_n and_o conscience_n abhor_v it_o and_o commit_v it_o not_o if_o thou_o love_v thy_o own_o soul_n for_o if_o sin_n of_o ignorance_n shall_v not_o escape_v punishment_n unless_o in_o this_o or_o that_o as_o man_n use_v to_o do_v but_o alas_o they_o can_v not_o find_v it_o there_o yea_o experience_n show_v that_o distress_a soul_n full_a of_o woe_n and_o misery_n can_v never_o find_v true_a comfort_n in_o any_o thing_n else_o save_v in_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o there_o they_o have_v find_v endless_a comfort_n by_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o bless_a and_o save_a promise_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o therefore_o it_o man_n shall_v neglect_v or_o despise_v the_o word_n preach_v how_o can_v they_o ever_o find_v joy_n or_o gladness_n or_o any_o dram_n of_o save_v comfort_n doctr._fw-la 4_o whereas_o david_n crave_v of_o god_n that_o he_o will_v cause_v he_o to_o hear_v of_o joy_n and_o gladness_n that_o be_v that_o his_o sin_n be_v all_o pardon_v and_o be_v reconcile_v to_o god_n in_o christ_n that_o so_o he_o may_v have_v some_o good_a matter_n of_o joy_n and_o gladness_n we_o learn_v hence_o that_o there_o be_v no_o sound_a joy_n nor_o comfort_n to_o any_o man_n or_o woman_n joy_n where_o sin_n be_v not_o pardon_v there_o can_v be_v no_o true_a joy_n but_o only_o in_o the_o pardon_n of_o sin_n and_o feel_v of_o god_n love_n in_o christ_n and_o all_o other_o joy_n which_o man_n do_v frame_n and_o devise_v unto_o themselves_o alas_o it_o be_v but_o from_o the_o tooth_n outward_a it_o be_v not_o sound_v nor_o durable_a it_o be_v but_o carnal_a and_o earthly_a and_o will_v easy_o be_v lose_v thus_o say_v the_o lord_n 9.23_o jere._n 9.23_o let_v not_o the_o wiseman_n rejoice_v in_o his_o wisdom_n nor_o the_o strong_a man_n in_o 1_o this_o show_v that_o the_o common_a joy_n of_o most_o man_n and_o woman_n be_v but_o a_o carnal_a joy_n earthly_a &_o vain_a it_o be_v not_o spiritual_a it_o be_v not_o true_a joy_n for_o all_o the_o while_o they_o eat_v drink_n make_v themselves_o merry_a laugh_v and_o sing_v they_o live_v in_o sin_n in_o danger_n of_o god_n anger_n and_o condemnation_n no_o feel_n of_o god_n love_n no_o assurance_n of_o salvation_n and_o then_o how_o can_v they_o have_v any_o true_a joy_n for_o this_o proceed_v from_o the_o assurance_n of_o god_n love_n and_o the_o pardon_n of_o sin_n the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n stand_v not_o in_o meat_n and_o drink_v 14.17_o ro._n 14.17_o but_o in_o righteousness_n peace_n and_o joy_n in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n 57.21_o esa_n 57.21_o but_o unto_o the_o wicked_a answ_n yes_o it_o be_v true_a that_o wicked_a man_n that_o live_v in_o sin_n pass_v their_o day_n in_o eat_v drink_v
