of_o what_o pernicious_a consequence_n his_o injurious_a action_n be_v he_o do_v it_o rash_o and_o unadvised_o he_o be_v blind_v with_o passion_n and_o though_o he_o will_v the_o action_n yet_o probable_o he_o may_v disow_v the_o ill_a effect_n which_o it_o produce_v but_o he_o that_o return_v a_o injury_n do_v not_o only_a sin_n know_o and_o deliberate_o but_o wilful_o and_o obstinate_o in_o opposition_n to_o his_o own_o sense_n and_o feel_v he_o plain_o perceive_v all_o the_o evil_a consequence_n of_o the_o action_n he_o be_v sensible_a of_o they_o and_o have_v smart_v under_o they_o and_o yet_o he_o go_v on_o malicious_o to_o execute_v his_o revenge_n it_o be_v therefore_o our_o unquestionable_a duty_n either_o to_o pass_v by_o injury_n and_o take_v no_o notice_n of_o they_o if_o small_a and_o inconsiderable_a or_o generous_o to_o forgive_v they_o and_o by_o heap_v coal_n of_o kindness_n upon_o the_o head_n of_o our_o enemy_n endeavour_v to_o melt_v they_o down_o into_o love_n and_o friendship_n unless_o in_o some_o particular_a case_n where_o some_o circumstance_n render_v it_o more_o advisable_a to_o remit_v they_o to_o the_o umpiridge_n of_o the_o law_n 3._o from_o hence_o we_o may_v infer_v of_o what_o vast_a importance_n it_o be_v that_o this_o rule_n shall_v be_v serious_o consider_v and_o conscientious_o practise_v for_o as_o on_o the_o one_o hand_n it_o be_v plain_a that_o the_o great_a part_n of_o those_o mischief_n which_o happen_v either_o to_o community_n or_o to_o private_a person_n do_v in_o a_o great_a measure_n proceed_v from_o our_o neglect_n of_o this_o rule_n so_o on_o the_o other_o it_o be_v as_o evident_a that_o a_o careful_a observation_n of_o it_o will_v wonderful_o conduce_v to_o their_o weal_n and_o flourish_a condition_n with_o respect_n to_o community_n it_o be_v evident_a that_o be_v man_n once_o let_v loose_a from_o the_o obligation_n of_o this_o rule_n the_o world_n will_v be_v fill_v with_o bloodshed_n rapine_n and_o oppression_n every_o one_o will_v seize_v on_o what_o best_o please_v he_o and_o the_o strong_a arm_n will_v have_v the_o great_a share_n but_o since_o every_o one_o be_v desirous_a to_o retain_v and_o enjoy_v those_o good_a thing_n which_o he_o do_v possess_v hence_o it_o be_v that_o he_o find_v it_o necessary_a to_o join_v with_o other_o for_o their_o mutual_a defence_n not_o but_o that_o man_n be_v natural_o a_o political_a creature_n and_o take_v delight_n in_o the_o mutual_a society_n and_o converse_v of_o reasonable_a being_n like_a himself_n and_o therefore_o mankind_n will_v have_v form_v themselves_o into_o society_n though_o the_o world_n have_v continue_v in_o its_o original_a innocency_n and_o violence_n and_o oppression_n have_v never_o enter_v into_o it_o but_o yet_o since_o the_o fall_n our_o nature_n be_v so_o deprave_v and_o we_o have_v degenerate_v so_o far_o from_o that_o noble_a rank_n of_o being_n in_o which_o we_o be_v place_v that_o have_v not_o man_n some_o awe_n of_o this_o rule_n upon_o their_o mind_n there_o will_v be_v no_o possibility_n of_o live_v in_o the_o world_n and_o if_o it_o be_v necessary_a to_o the_o essence_n of_o government_n much_o more_o to_o its_o wellbeing_a for_o do_v not_o all_o our_o mutual_a correspondence_n and_o friendly_a converse_n depend_v on_o the_o practice_n of_o those_o virtue_n which_o natural_o result_v from_o the_o observance_n of_o this_o rule_n such_o as_o be_v veracity_n in_o our_o word_n faithfulness_n to_o our_o trust_n justice_n in_o our_o deal_n and_o the_o like_a and_o thus_o as_o to_o the_o concern_v of_o particular_a person_n be_v it_o not_o obvious_a that_o this_o rule_n when_o due_o observe_v direct_o tend_v to_o root_v out_o all_o envy_n passion_n and_o malice_n from_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n to_o take_v away_o the_o cause_n of_o difference_n and_o animosity_n and_o to_o promote_v peace_n and_o quietness_n and_o a_o good_a understanding_n between_o neighbour_n and_o acquaintance_n will_v it_o not_o be_v effectual_a to_o secure_v we_o against_o fraud_n oppression_n and_o injustice_n will_v it_o not_o
