suppose_v that_o these_o who_o preach_v here_o be_v private_a person_n in_o the_o same_o condition_n as_o layman_n with_o we_o and_o therefore_o our_o layman_n may_v preach_v so_o as_o they_o do_v even_o as_o these_o primitive_a christian_n do_v 1._o we_o will_v examine_v his_o proof_n that_o these_o preacher_n be_v private_a man_n and_o if_o he_o make_v not_o this_o good_a he_o prove_v nothing_o 2._o we_o will_v show_v that_o if_o it_o can_v be_v prove_v that_o these_o be_v private_a man_n this_o example_n will_v no_o way_n help_v to_o prove_v the_o lawfulness_n of_o that_o practice_n which_o our_o lay-preacher_n use_v and_o plead_v for_o 1._o how_o do_v he_o prove_v they_o private_a man_n this_o be_v all_o this_o proof_n which_o be_v nothing_o satisfactory_a kno._n they_o be_v not_o the_o apostle_n as_o it_o be_v apparent_a v._o 1._o and_o at_o this_o time_n there_o be_v no_o officer_n in_o the_o church_n save_o the_o apostle_n and_o deacon_n as_o we_o read_v of_o answ_n we_o grant_v they_o be_v not_o the_o apostle_n for_o they_o stay_v at_o jerusalem_n v._o 1._o and_o he_o grant_v there_o be_v deacon_n and_o they_o be_v more_o than_o layman_n for_o he_o abroad_o be_v now_o a_o evangelist_n and_o that_o these_o prophet_n and_o evangelist_n be_v officer_n be_v plain_a ephes_n 4._o 11._o now_o can_v this_o writer_n find_v the_o time_n when_o they_o be_v put_v into_o office_n he_o will_v have_v philip_n and_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o scatter_a christian_n to_o go_v from_o jerusalem_n private_a person_n philip_n but_o a_o deacon_n at_o most_o afterward_o we_o find_v some_o of_o they_o prophet_n some_o evangelist_n can_v it_o be_v prove_v they_o be_v not_o appoint_v to_o these_o function_n when_o they_o leave_v jerusalem_n it_o will_v be_v forth_o other_o man_n to_o that_o work_n and_o this_o they_o do_v practice_v every_o where_n as_o opportunity_n offer_v and_o necessity_n require_v witness_n the_o act_n and_o epistle_n of_o the_o apostle_n send_v forth_o prophet_n and_o evangelist_n the_o apostle_n assistant_n in_o their_o extraordinary_a work_n to_o plant_v and_o gather_v church_n or_o to_o confirm_v they_o that_o be_v plant_v and_o to_o ordain_v pastor_n and_o teacher_n in_o settle_a church_n and_o how_o will_v it_o be_v prove_v that_o the_o apostle_n do_v not_o give_v authority_n to_o these_o man_n to_o preach_v the_o gospel_n as_o they_o go_v be_v there_o not_o need_v when_o the_o apostle_n themselves_o must_v stay_v at_o jerusalem_n v._o 1._o and_o the_o gospel_n must_v be_v preach_v abroad_o at_o the_o sametime_o and_o be_v it_o probable_a nay_o be_v it_o not_o to_o question_v the_o apostle_n care_v that_o they_o be_v trust_v with_o the_o spread_n of_o the_o gospel_n shall_v let_v these_o man_n go_v and_o give_v they_o no_o order_n to_o preach_v it_o which_o if_o they_o do_v its_o enough_o especial_o since_o this_o persecution_n come_v by_o god_n providence_n for_o this_o very_a end_n that_o never_o learn_v and_o which_o the_o hearer_n know_v they_o be_v ignorant_a of_o otherwise_o they_o can_v be_v a_o sign_n to_o they_o be_v unbeliever_n so_o the_o apostle_n know_v to_o be_v unlearned_a
