to_o you_o simple_a one_o that_o love_n simplicity_n scorner_n delight_v in_o scorn_v and_o to_o you_o fool_n hate_v knowledge_n by_o which_o we_o may_v judge_v whether_o they_o qualify_v themselves_o or_o engage_v god_n by_o natural_a improvement_n how_o be_v the_o work_n do_v then_o even_o by_o the_o spirit_n overpowering_a of_o such_o that_o be_v the_o only_a ground_n of_o the_o difference_n between_o person_n in_o themselves_o alike_o qualify_v and_o therefore_o no_o precedent_a improvement_n though_o ever_o so_o transcendent_a for_o the_o latter_a sort_n from_o who_o the_o spirit_n oppress_v nature_n for_o god_n cause_n till_o he_o leave_v not_o so_o much_o to_o nature_n as_o to_o bear_v the_o charge_n of_o its_o own_o condemnation_n and_o than_o if_o man_n leave_v not_o to_o nature_n sufficient_a to_o bring_v the_o guilt_n on_o it_o of_o its_o own_o condemnation_n than_o it_o must_v necessary_o reflect_v upon_o god_n but_o if_o we_o will_v consider_v two_o argument_n in_o general_a we_o shall_v see_v that_o the_o assertion_n mention_v that_o if_o man_n do_v what_o be_v in_o their_o power_n etc._n etc._n they_o shall_v find_v acceptation_n with_o god_n must_v be_v want_v of_o such_o a_o action_n as_o can_v be_v do_v by_o any_o power_n inferior_a to_o god_n own_o which_o be_v infinite_a this_o be_v so_o hard_a a_o say_n and_o so_o contrary_a and_o rise_v up_o with_o that_o fiery_a contestation_n against_o what_o the_o scripture_n deliver_v concern_v the_o graciousness_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o god_n and_o mercy_n by_o jesus_n christ_n yea_o it_o so_o god_n towards_o the_o world_n nor_o otherwise_o with_o the_o principle_n of_o reason_n and_o common_a sense_n it_o be_v as_o good_a reason_n to_o say_v that_o god_n destroy_v the_o creature_n for_o not_o be_v god_n or_o for_o not_o make_v another_o heaven_n and_o earth_n like_v to_o these_o he_o have_v make_v as_o to_o say_v he_o destroy_v they_o for_o not_o do_v that_o which_o they_o have_v no_o more_o power_n to_o do_v than_o they_o have_v to_o make_v themselves_o god_n or_o a_o heaven_n and_o earth_n neither_o will_v it_o at_o all_o here_o avail_v to_o say_v that_o man_n have_v power_n in_o adam_n while_o as_o yet_o in_o the_o state_n of_o innocency_n then_o to_o believe_v in_o jesus_n christ_n this_o will_v not_o all_o ease_n the_o business_n as_o if_o god_n may_v in_o a_o way_n of_o justice_n equity_n and_o righteousness_n condemn_v man_n for_o not_o do_v that_o which_o sometime_o they_o have_v power_n to_o do_v namely_o in_o their_o first_o parent_n though_o now_o they_o have_v not_o i_o answer_v it_o will_v not_o at_o all_o ease_n the_o business_n first_o because_o it_o be_v not_o a_o truth_n second_o though_o it_o be_v yet_o it_o will_v not_o salve_v the_o sore_a first_o that_o man_n never_o have_v power_n in_o adam_n to_o believe_v in_o jesus_n christ_n especial_o to_o justification_n may_v evident_o appear_v by_o these_o reason_n that_o which_o adam_n and_o himself_o never_o have_v in_o the_o state_n of_o innocency_n that_o certain_o his_o posterity_n can_v never_o have_v but_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o adam_n himself_o have_v never_o such_o power_n of_o believe_v in_o christ_n in_o innocency_n neither_o therefore_o can_v his_o posterity_n be_v suppose_v to_o have_v such_o a_o power_n now_o that_o he_o have_v no_o such_o power_n be_v evident_a hence_o because_o there_o be_v no_o necessity_n use_n or_o occasion_n of_o such_o a_o power_n as_o this_o to_o have_v be_v give_v to_o adam_n in_o that_o state_n we_o all_o know_v and_o look_v on_o god_n as_o the_o most_o wise_a agent_n that_o ever_o act_v now_o it_o be_v inconsistent_a with_o his_o wisdom_n and_o dispensation_n that_o he_o shall_v create_v such_o a_o excellent_a power_n as_o this_o of_o believe_v be_v when_o there_o be_v no_o necessity_n nor_o use_n thereof_o that_o there_o be_v no_o occasion_n thereof_o be_v evident_a because_o during_o the_o time_n of_o innocency_n he_o righteousness_n by_o the_o law_n then_o for_o he_o to_o believe_v that_o jesus_n christ_n be_v dead_a or_o alive_a for_o his_o justification_n what_o be_v the_o reason_n man_n have_v no_o wing_n put_v upon_o he_o in_o the_o time_n of_o innocency_n but_o only_o that_o he_o be_v well_o enough_o in_o that_o state_n for_o this_o be_v reason_n enough_o to_o prove_v that_o adam_n have_v no_o such_o power_n of_o believe_v because_o well_o enough_o without_o even_o in_o a_o state_n of_o righteousness_n second_o if_o adam_n during_o his_o innocency_n have_v a_o power_n to_o believe_v either_o for_o his_o own_o or_o for_o any_o of_o his_o posterity_n their_o justification_n and_o salvation_n than_o he_o have_v a_o power_n also_o to_o foresee_v his_o fall_n because_o justification_n presuppose_v sin_n because_o it_o be_v from_o sin_n and_o consequent_o a_o power_n to_o believe_v presuppose_v a_o sight_n and_o a_o sense_n of_o sin_n but_o that_o he_o have_v no_o such_o principle_n in_o he_o whereby_o to_o foresee_v his_o fall_n in_o time_n of_o innocency_n be_v evident_a hence_o because_o have_v he_o have_v a_o power_n for_o to_o foresee_v his_o fall_n before_o he_o fall_v then_o he_o have_v a_o power_n or_o principle_n out_o of_o which_o he_o may_v have_v be_v make_v miserable_a before_o he_o sin_v because_o it_o can_v be_v imagine_v but_o that_o the_o foresight_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o fall_v and_o posterity_n with_o he_o and_o the_o whole_a world_n that_o shall_v come_v out_o of_o his_o loin_n will_v have_v be_v a_o very_a torment_a consideration_n to_o he_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v altogether_o against_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n that_o man_n shall_v be_v miserable_a before_o he_o sin_v hence_o it_o be_v clear_a he_o have_v no_o power_n then_o to_o believe_v in_o christ_n because_o not_o able_a to_o foresee_v his_o fall_n three_o if_o adam_n in_o innocency_n have_v power_n to_o believe_v in_o christ_n then_o have_v he_o a_o power_n to_o foresee_v the_o incarnation_n death_n and_o resurrection_n of_o christ_n because_o none_o can_v have_v a_o power_n to_o believe_v in_o christ_n saving_o but_o on_o knowledge_n of_o these_o now_o if_o adam_n have_v
