sense_n of_o those_o book_n and_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o same_o word_n be_v divers_a especial_o since_o the_o sense_n of_o no_o one_o text_n must_v oppose_v the_o sense_n of_o any_o other_o and_o hence_o scripture_n most_o clear_a in_o their_o expression_n by_o reason_n of_o other_o scripture_n as_o seem_o clear_a that_o express_v the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o this_o clearness_n become_v very_o ambiguous_a and_o that_o in_o some_o necessary_a point_n of_o faith_n as_o appear_v in_o those_o many_o controversy_n concern_v their_o sense_n some_o of_o which_o contest_v doubtless_o be_v in_o very_o necessary_a point_n and_o matter_n of_o faith_n to_o know_v therefore_o among_o these_o which_o be_v the_o true_a sense_n as_o suppose_v in_o the_o controversy_n about_o the_o sacred_a trinity_n grace_n and_o free_a will_n justification_n etc._n etc._n upon_o which_o first_o know_v i_o must_v ground_v my_o faith_n i_o be_o no_o way_n help_v by_o know_v that_o the_o writing_n be_v god_n word_n here_o therefore_o though_o the_o scripture_n for_o the_o word_n shall_v not_o yet_o my_o faith_n for_o their_o sense_n will_v have_v a_o dependence_n upon_o and_o repair_v unto_o without_o dispute_v whether_o it_o be_v absolute_o infallible_a because_o it_o be_v needle_n to_o the_o state_v of_o our_o business_n that_o there_o be_v in_o it_o certainty_n upon_o or_o assurance_n sufficient_a to_o ground_v a_o firm_a faith_n upon_o for_o though_o it_o be_v willing_o assent_v to_o that_o tradition_n be_v in_o its_o nature_n a_o relation_n of_o a_o thing_n give_v not_o nor_o book_n thereof_o depend_v on_o the_o certainty_n of_o tradition_n and_o indeed_o it_o be_v impious_a to_o affirm_v that_o we_o have_v not_o a_o sufficient_o sure_a ground_n of_o that_o knowledge_n of_o good_a and_o evil_n upon_o which_o our_o eternal_a happi_n nes_z be_v to_o be_v acquire_v or_o misery_n sustain_v or_o that_o god_n have_v not_o leave_v a_o undoubtable_a evidence_n of_o those_o truth_n whereby_o we_o be_v to_o direct_v our_o life_n to_o that_o end_n for_o which_o he_o have_v create_v we_o but_o this_o can_v be_v assign_v no_o other_o at_o least_o to_o most_o man_n than_o tradition_n therefore_o it_o be_v the_o interest_n of_o all_o christian_n as_o well_o those_o who_o submit_v themselves_o only_o to_o the_o scripture_n as_o those_o who_o submit_v also_o to_o the_o but_o yet_o in_o divine_a thing_n compare_v with_o other_o temporal_a matter_n that_o be_v of_o the_o same_o distance_n of_o time_n from_o we_o there_o seem_v to_o be_v much_o more_o certainty_n in_o that_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n have_v appoint_v a_o select_a company_n of_o man_n successive_o in_o all_o age_n to_o be_v the_o guardian_n conserver_n divulger_n thereof_o to_o the_o world_n for_o ever_o 3._o last_o if_o this_o tradition_n and_o the_o doctrine_n we_o acknowledge_v divine_a be_v to_o be_v deliver_v authoritative_o from_o god_n to_o man_n 27._o not_o in_o all_o but_o some_o determinate_a time_n and_o place_n see_v christ_n ben._n p._n 35._o say_v how_o posterity_n can_v receive_v these_o from_o any_o other_o evidence_n unless_o perhaps_o we_o further_o require_v the_o well_o or_o more_o for_o try_v her_o doctrine_n in_o fundamental_o than_o in_o any_o thing_n else_o because_o the_o rule_n by_o which_o we_o try_v be_v the_o most_o plain_a in_o these_o point_n again_o i_o ask_v be_v all_o the_o necessary_a consequence_n of_o fundamental_o to_o be_v account_v fundamental_a if_o so_o than_o who_o know_v how_o far_o these_o point_n may_v extend_v in_o which_o
