not_o true_a that_o he_o write_v they_o as_o his_o own_o judgement_n approve_v they_o or_o as_o the_o spirit_n doctrine_n how_o then_o do_v he_o write_v they_o he_o do_v record_v they_o to_o make_v way_n for_o confutation_n of_o their_o drift_n as_o the_o word_n or_o plea_n which_o the_o corinthian_n have_v say_v or_o write_v unto_o he_o wherein_o they_o do_v sinful_o endeavour_v to_o prove_v it_o lawful_a for_o they_o to_o go_v into_o the_o idol_n temple_n and_o there_o to_o eat_v meat_n sacrifice_v to_o the_o idol_n that_o these_o word_n and_o verse_n be_v they_o and_o to_o this_o unwholesome_a end_n of_o they_o i_o thus_o collect_v 1._o the_o corinthian_n do_v write_v unto_o paul_n of_o some_o thing_n wherein_o they_o seem_v to_o desire_v his_o answer_n so_o it_o appear_v by_o paul_n answer_n to_o they_o where_o he_o say_v now_o concern_v the_o thing_n whereof_o you_o write_v unto_o i_o 1_o cor._n 7.1_o whereof_o marriage_n be_v one_o chap._n 7._o and_o this_o about_o eat_a idolothyte_n in_o the_o idol_n temple_n be_v another_o chap._n 8._o see_v ver_fw-la 1._o 2._o paul_n answer_v these_o word_n contain_v in_o these_o four_o whole_a verse_n reprove_v and_o confute_v the_o insufficiency_n of_o the_o argument_n in_o these_o verse_n employ_v along_o from_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o nine_o verse_n unto_o the_o end_n of_o the_o ten_o chapter_n the_o which_o be_v observe_v help_v more_o than_o a_o little_a to_o the_o right_a understanding_n of_o the_o nine_o chapter_n by_o the_o way_n now_o if_o paul_n reprove_v these_o word_n or_o the_o scope_n whereto_o they_o tend_v than_o it_o be_v clear_a that_o he_o be_v not_o the_o author_n of_o they_o howsoever_o he_o be_v the_o recorder_n thereof_o that_o he_o do_v reprove_v and_o disprove_v these_o word_n through_o these_o four_o whole_a verse_n all_o and_o some_o of_o they_o as_o invalid_a unto_o the_o purpose_n whereto_o they_o be_v by_o the_o corinthian_n allege_v be_v plain_a not_o only_o by_o more_o tacit_a argument_n follow_v these_o say_v four_o verse_n but_o also_o by_o a_o plain_a harp_v or_o descant_v upon_o the_o selfsame_a word_n which_o the_o apostle_n do_v as_o it_o be_v the_o manner_n of_o learned_a answerer_n to_o do_v and_o that_o partly_o before_o these_o verse_n aswell_o as_o after_o for_o instance_n the_o word_n know_v we_o know_v that_o a_o idol_n be_v nothing_o in_o the_o world_n howbeit_o there_o be_v not_o in_o all_o man_n this_o knowledge_n this_o word_n know_v the_o apostle_n strike_v at_o when_o he_o say_v in_o the_o first_o verse_n we_o know_v that_o we_o all_o have_v knowledge_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v you_o not_o only_o know_v such_o knowledge_n as_o it_o be_v but_o you_o be_v proud_a of_o your_o knowledge_n and_o yet_o you_o know_v nothing_o as_o you_o ought_v to_o know_v for_o if_o your_o knowledge_n be_v such_o as_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v you_o will_v not_o destroy_v your_o unknowing_a heathen_a neighbour_n by_o your_o example_n as_o you_o do_v when_o you_o sit_v at_o the_o sacrifice_n in_o the_o idol_n temple_n you_o know_v that_o a_o idol_n be_v nothing_o in_o the_o world_n and_o that_o there_o be_v no_o other_o god_n but_o one_o and_o one_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o you_o say_v that_o there_o be_v not_o in_o all_o man_n this_o knowledge_n for_o some_o you_o say_v make_v conscience_n of_o the_o idol_n and_o do_v eat_v to_o the_o honour_n of_o the_o idol_n suppose_v the_o idol_n to_o be_v some_o deity_n and_o able_a to_o help_v they_o and_o so_o they_o be_v weak_a that_o be_v be_v ignorant_a be_v defile_v in_o their_o very_a mind_n and_o conscience_n yea_o and_o likely_a to_o be_v destroy_v too_o because_o they_o put_v their_o trust_n in_o a_o idol_n which_o can_v save_v they_o and_o you_o say_v it_o be_v sin_n to_o they_o thus_o to_o eat_v before_o the_o idol_n but_o you_o say_v that_o you_o be_v free_a from_o sin_n though_o you_o do_v the_o same_o thing_n why_o because_o you_o do_v not_o eat_v as_o to_o the_o honour_n of_o a_o idol_n but_o you_o eat_v as_o the_o meat_n be_v god_n
