this_o commendation_n or_o discommendation_n of_o person_n practise_v or_o neglect_v of_o it_o shall_v be_v express_o or_o in_o plain_a word_n declare_v in_o scripture_n or_o whether_o it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a that_o they_o themselves_o may_v be_v consequential_o and_o by_o way_n of_o argument_n draw_v and_o deduce_v from_o scripture_n second_o whether_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o this_o commendation_n or_o discommendation_n plead_v to_o be_v so_o necessary_a for_o the_o end_n mention_v must_v be_v contain_v in_o some_o scripture_n distinct_a from_o those_o the_o practice_n controvert_v be_v deduce_v from_o or_o whether_o it_o may_v not_o be_v sufficient_a that_o they_o be_v contain_v in_o some_o scripture_n which_o yet_o may_v be_v urge_v to_o give_v contenance_n to_o the_o practice_n under_o debate_n and_o let_v the_o framer_n of_o this_o argument_n answer_v to_o these_o question_n as_o they_o conceive_v most_o conduce_v to_o the_o end_n design_v in_o it_o these_o two_o question_n be_v premise_v let_v we_o come_v more_o direct_o to_o the_o answer_n and_o it_o may_v be_v answer_v several_a way_n according_a to_o the_o answer_v our_o opposer_n shall_v give_v to_o the_o forego_n question_n first_o suppose_v it_o shall_v be_v say_v that_o it_o be_v sufficient_a to_o determine_v any_o controvert_v practice_n to_o be_v from_o heaven_n in_o 〈◊〉_d it_o can_v be_v consequential_o or_o rational_o deduce_v from_o any_o scripture_n whatsoever_o whether_o urge_v to_o give_v countenance_n to_o the_o practice_n controvert_v or_o no_o that_o some_o one_o or_o other_o at_o one_o time_n or_o another_o have_v be_v commend_v for_o the_o practice_n of_o it_o or_o blame_v for_o the_o neglect_n of_o it_o then_o i_o shall_v answer_v these_o two_o thing_n first_o i_o deny_v the_o minor_a proposition_n and_o say_v that_o we_o have_v instance_n of_o person_n commend_v for_o the_o practice_n of_o infant-baptism_n take_v these_o instance_n of_o lydia_n the_o gaoler_n and_o other_o but_o it_o be_v reply_v it_o do_v not_o appear_v that_o they_o have_v any_o infant_n baptize_v and_o therefore_o luke_n tell_v we_o that_o they_o and_o their_o household_n be_v baptize_v can_v be_v interpret_v as_o a_o commendation_n to_o they_o for_o practise_v of_o infant-baptisme_n but_o to_o that_o i_o answer_v lis_n sub_fw-la judice_fw-la est_fw-la we_o judge_v they_o have_v therefore_o second_o i_o suppose_v the_o objection_n or_o argumentator_n must_v needs_o say_v that_o such_o a_o commendation_n or_o discommendation_n as_o be_v require_v must_v be_v declare_v and_o express_v in_o some_o plain_a and_o express_a scripture_n or_o the_o consequence_n be_v draw_v so_o evident_o as_o amount_n to_o a_o plain_a and_o express_a scripture_n but_o then_o how_o extreme_o ridiculous_a the_o argument_n be_v will_v soon_o appear_v to_o every_o ordinary_a capacity_n and_o the_o major_n may_v be_v just_o deny_v and_o that_o for_o a_o fourfold_a reason_n first_o it_o be_v can_v be_v produce_v of_o any_o either_o commend_v for_o the_o practice_n of_o they_o or_o discommend_v for_o the_o neglect_n of_o they_o that_o instance_n of_o woman_n receive_n the_o lord_n supper_n be_v obvious_a that_o practice_n be_v only_o warrant_v in_o a_o consequential_a way_n for_o where_o be_v any_o express_a command_n to_o warrant_v it_o and_o let_v any_o such_o instance_n as_o agree_v with_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o oponent_n in_o the_o major_a proposition_n be_v produce_v of_o any_o woman_n that_o be_v in_o scripture_n commend_v for_o the_o practice_n of_o it_o or_o discommend_v for_o the_o neglect_n of_o it_o second_o this_o argument_n involve_v the_o author_n of_o it_o in_o a_o absolute_a contradiction_n consider_v what_o be_v and_o must_v rational_o be_v grant_v by_o
