christ_n be_v this_o when_o thus_o the_o soul_n be_v persuade_v of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n reveal_v and_o when_o the_o heart_n settle_v itself_o upon_o it_o and_o hear_v nothing_o against_o the_o good_a pleasure_n of_o the_o lord_n thus_o manifest_v then_o in_o the_o last_o place_n the_o soul_n must_v yield_v obedience_n thereunto_o not_o alone_o in_o do_v the_o thing_n god_n command_v but_o in_o do_v the_o will_n of_o god_n in_o so_o do_v mark_v not_o alone_o i_o say_v perform_v what_o god_n require_v of_o we_o but_o to_o be_v carry_v to_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o duty_n mere_o his_o nature_n as_o well_o as_o in_o that_o which_o be_v more_o suitable_a thereunto_o this_o indeed_o be_v that_o which_o make_v a_o christian_a constant_a in_o his_o walk_n with_o god_n notwithstanding_o all_o those_o difficulty_n and_o discouragement_n he_o meet_v withal_o when_o as_o other_o be_v fain_o to_o balk_v many_o thing_n which_o be_v require_v of_o they_o to_o perform_v for_o my_o brethren_n if_o a_o man_n only_o take_v up_o the_o practice_n of_o such_o matter_n in_o religion_n as_o suit_v with_o his_o own_o humour_n or_o ease_n or_o profit_n or_o the_o like_a when_o the_o hear_n they_o will_v come_v to_o church_n and_o attend_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n but_o they_o will_v take_v up_o no_o more_o they_o will_v be_v tie_v to_o the_o performance_n of_o no_o duty_n further_o than_o it_o stand_v with_o their_o own_o occasion_n and_o suit_v with_o their_o own_o sinful_a disposition_n but_o
judas_n may_v thus_o far_o have_v his_o understanding_n enlighten_v concern_v all_o the_o truth_n of_o life_n and_o salvation_n that_o be_v either_o discover_v or_o make_v know_v out_o of_o the_o book_n of_o god_n as_o to_o perceive_v the_o sense_n of_o the_o word_n that_o be_v set_v down_o and_o understand_o to_o discourse_v of_o the_o meaning_n of_o the_o scripture_n and_o reason_n of_o the_o point_n therein_o contain_v and_o that_o more_o free_o and_o abundant_o in_o outward_a appearance_n than_o many_o of_o the_o dear_a saint_n and_o servant_n of_o god_n be_v able_a to_o do_v and_o faith_n that_o either_o know_v god_n in_o the_o work_n of_o his_o way_n towards_o he_o or_o himself_o in_o the_o work_n of_o his_o duty_n towards_o god_n that_o be_v a_o strange_a passage_n concern_v understanding_n of_o a_o servant_n of_o god_n as_o true_o differ_v from_o the_o enlighten_v of_o a_o carnal_a hypocrite_n as_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o saint_n from_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o man_n not_o sanctify_v as_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n i_o say_v have_v a_o proper_a and_o peculiar_a work_n of_o sanctification_n upon_o the_o will_n of_o god_n child_n so_o also_o have_v he_o upon_o their_o mind_n and_o understanding_n therefore_o of_o necessity_n wicked_a man_n have_v no_o work_n of_o sanctification_n the_o child_n of_o god_n must_v needs_o differ_v from_o they_o in_o this_o circumstance_n discover_v the_o quality_n of_o it_o first_o he_o shall_v be_v destroy_v and_o then_o second_o the_o manner_n of_o it_o sudden_o god_n will_v not_o wait_v long_o or_o vouchsafe_v so_o truth_n of_o christ_n but_o take_v up_o arm_n against_o he_o and_o become_v rebellious_a to_o the_o bless_a word_n of_o god_n this_o be_v the_o stiffen_a of_o the_o neck_n in_o a_o word_n to_o be_v rebellious_a to_o resist_v to_o gainsay_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o whatsoever_o be_v reveal_v to_o we_o and_o aught_o to_o be_v do_v by_o we_o the_o second_o phrase_n be_v be_v often_o reprove_v the_o word_n in_o the_o original_a impli_v as_o i_o say_v before_o a_o man_n of_o admonition_n he_o that_o have_v line_n upon_o line_n and_o precept_n upon_o precept_n admonition_n upon_o admonition_n and_o therefore_o our_o english_a render_v it_o well_o a_o man_n often_o reprove_v that_o be_v one_o that_o have_v not_o only_o be_v once_o counsel_v and_o instruct_v and_o reprove_v but_o one_o upon_o who_o the_o minister_n be_v daily_o call_v in_o the_o public_a ordinance_n one_o that_o be_v from_o sabbath_n to_o sabbath_n at_o least_o admonish_v and_o persuade_v and_o entreat_v by_o the_o minister_n of_o god_n that_o be_v continual_o again_o and_o again_o warn_v of_o the_o wrath_n to_o come_v if_o such_o a_o man_n as_o this_o gainsay_v all_o these_o and_o remain_v stubborn_a and_o rebellious_a after_o so_o many_o admonition_n and_o reproof_n than_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n be_v ripe_a for_o he_o and_o he_o be_v ripe_a for_o it_o he_o shall_v be_v destroy_v say_v the_o text_n the_o god_n of_o heaven_n will_v break_v he_o all_o in_o piece_n as_o the_o psalmist_n speak_v and_o that_o sudden_o without_o remedy_n so_o then_o the_o word_n be_v that_o say_v as_o much_o a_o man_n that_o be_v often_o reprove_v and_o harden_v his_o neck_n what_o be_v it_o to_o harden_v the_o neck_n i_o tell_v you_o to_o grow_v stubborn_a and_o stouthearted_a and_o to_o gainsay_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n to_o oppose_v it_o and_o what_o be_v it_o to_o be_v often_o admonish_v one_o mean_v be_v here_o specify_v but_o all_o be_v understand_v he_o that_o have_v many_o mean_n and_o that_o have_v many_o help_n and_o many_o encouragement_n that_o have_v counsel_n and_o advice_n and_o reproof_n and_o persuasion_n and_o instruction_n if_o he_o harden_v his_o neck_n so_o than_o it_o be_v plain_a that_o he_o may_v harden_v his_o neck_n and_o he_o do_v harden_v his_o neck_n and_o grow_v stubborn_a and_o rebellious_a notwihstand_v all_o those_o mean_n for_o that_o be_v presume_v and_o necessary_o employ_v in_o the_o text._n the_o case_n than_o you_o see_v be_v clear_a that_o wicked_a man_n that_o shall_v be_v destroy_v for_o who_o god_n have_v appoint_v you_o what_o we_o have_v to_o do_v namely_o to_o make_v good_a the_o thing_n in_o hand_n which_o we_o will_v establish_v by_o several_a witness_n and_o discover_v the_o nature_n of_o it_o you_o shall_v observe_v this_o to_o be_v a_o usual_a thing_n in_o the_o course_n of_o the_o scripture_n 1_o pet._n 3._o 20._o the_o text_n say_v there_o that_o the_o lord_n go_v and_o preach_v to_o the_o
