receive_v at_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o pastor_n all_o their_o meat_n at_o once_o and_o together_o this_o kind_n of_o entertainment_n be_v not_o proper_a to_o a_o supper_n three_o at_o the_o delivery_n and_o receive_n of_o this_o food_n a_o word_n be_v pronounce_v whereby_o we_o be_v teach_v that_o this_o food_n be_v not_o give_v nor_o shall_v be_v receive_v to_o nourish_v the_o body_n but_o only_o to_o signify_v and_o represent_v the_o passion_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o application_n thereof_o to_o the_o believer_n for_o their_o comfort_n a_o food_n give_v and_o receive_v for_o such_o a_o use_n as_o this_o only_a can_v proper_o be_v a_o supper_n for_o no_o repast_n proper_o be_v a_o supper_n but_o that_o which_o be_v appoint_v to_o nourish_v the_o body_n whatsoever_o use_v it_o have_v beside_o so_o if_o either_o we_o consider_v the_o quantity_n of_o the_o repast_n the_o time_n that_o be_v spend_v in_o the_o receive_n thereof_o the_o form_n of_o give_v and_o receive_v or_o the_o end_n wherefore_o it_o be_v give_v we_o shall_v find_v that_o proper_o neither_o be_v it_o nor_o can_v it_o be_v call_v a_o supper_n as_o for_o the_o spiritual_a and_o internal_a part_n of_o the_o action_n whereby_o the_o mind_n be_v inform_v and_o faith_n confirm_v it_o may_v be_v call_v a_o supper_n not_o proper_o but_o in_o the_o sense_n that_o solomon_n call_v a_o good_a conscience_n a_o perpetual_a feast_n because_o by_o the_o meditation_n of_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o benefit_n that_o we_o have_v thereby_o the_o soul_n be_v feed_v and_o nourish_v with_o spiritual_a and_o heavenly_a knowledge_n strengthen_v with_o confidence_n and_o hope_n and_o satiate_v with_o joy_n and_o pleasure_n that_o can_v be_v express_v whereby_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o neither_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o external_a and_o material_a part_n nor_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o inward_a and_o spiritual_a part_n be_v this_o sacrament_n proper_o call_v a_o supper_n therefore_o the_o appellation_n shall_v not_o alter_v the_o worship_n and_o religious_a reverence_n that_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o action_n simple_o consider_v in_o itself_o require_v but_o put_v the_o case_n that_o it_o be_v proper_o a_o supper_n yet_o we_o must_v grant_v that_o the_o master_n of_o the_o feast_n be_v our_o lord_n and_o king_n out_o of_o who_o hand_n if_o we_o receive_v the_o cup_n or_o some_o dainty_a morsel_n shall_v we_o use_v no_o more_o reverence_n then_o when_o we_o carve_v to_o ourselves_o or_o receive_v from_o the_o hand_n of_o a_o servant_n or_o from_o our_o companion_n consider_v then_o with_o yourselves_o how_o this_o whole_a supper_n to_o wit_n the_o body_n and_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n be_v give_v by_o christ_n himself_o at_o once_o to_o we_o his_o blood_n in_o one_o must_v the_o religion_n and_o devotion_n be_v that_o be_v compose_v of_o these_o two_o the_o great_a confidence_n and_o the_o great_a reverence_n sect_n 9_o what_o manner_n of_o person_n shall_v we_o esteem_v our_o sautour_n and_o ourselves_o to_o carry_v at_o the_o sacrament_n lo_o but_o christ_n invit_v we_o as_o coheire_n to_o this_o banquet_n who_o he_o will_v honour_v as_o his_o own_o peer_n and_o equal_n and_o will_v not_o have_v we_o to_o demean_v ourselves_o as_o inferior_n and_o subject_n whence_o learn_v we_o this_o christ_n sit_v or_o lay_v at_o the_o table_n with_o his_o disciple_n
