ordinance_n or_o worship_n of_o god_n but_o in_o god_n himself_o not_o in_o the_o church_n or_o government_n of_o christ_n but_o in_o christ_n himself_o so_o that_o good_a king_n jehoshaphat_v counsel_n to_o his_o people_n in_o their_o day_n of_o strait_n and_o shake_n will_v lead_v i_o and_o all_o the_o people_n of_o god_n to_o a_o sure_a centre_n of_o establishment_n believe_v in_o the_o in_o the_o 14_o 15_o 16_o 17_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n we_o shall_v find_v that_o jahaziel_n the_o prophet_n have_v the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n come_v upon_o he_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o congregation_n when_o all_o the_o people_n be_v gather_v together_o to_o seek_v the_o lord_n do_v prophecy_n and_o tell_v the_o king_n and_o all_o judah_n and_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o jerusalem_n that_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v afraid_a nor_o dismay_v by_o reason_n of_o the_o great_a a_o multitude_n which_o come_v against_o they_o for_o the_o battle_n say_v he_o be_v not_o you_o do_v believe_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o word_n declare_v by_o his_o prophet_n and_o in_o this_o twenty_o verse_n tell_v the_o people_n where_o his_o establishment_n be_v namely_o in_o god_n and_o if_o they_o also_o shall_v believe_v in_o god_n as_o their_o god_n and_o in_o his_o word_n declare_v by_o his_o prophet_n that_o they_o shall_v thereby_o be_v establish_v believe_v in_o the_o lord_n your_o god_n so_o shall_v you_o be_v establish_v my_o intention_n be_v to_o take_v this_o scripture_n in_o the_o large_a sense_n and_o to_o make_v use_n of_o it_o in_o the_o carry_n on_o a_o treatise_n of_o faith_n as_o faith_n and_o belief_n in_o god_n do_v settle_v and_o establish_v believer_n the_o plain_a and_o visible_a truth_n which_o lie_v in_o this_o scripture_n and_o upon_o which_o i_o shall_v carry_v on_o what_o follow_v be_v this_o that_o saint_n be_v establish_v by_o believe_v in_o god_n as_o their_o god_n this_o be_v the_o sense_n and_o almost_o the_o very_a word_n of_o the_o scripture_n and_o for_o its_o proof_n it_o have_v the_o concurrence_n of_o the_o scope_n if_o not_o the_o letter_n of_o the_o whole_a word_n of_o god_n the_o prophet_n isaiah_n in_o his_o seven_o chapter_n and_o nine_o verse_n prove_v this_o by_o its_o contrary_n when_o in_o the_o former_a verse_n he_o have_v tell_v they_o what_o god_n will_v do_v for_o they_o he_o tell_v they_o in_o the_o soul_n above_o fear_n into_o the_o strength_n of_o god_n so_o that_o though_o all_o creature_n and_o mean_n fail_v yet_o the_o believe_a soul_n have_v its_o refuge_n and_o rest_n in_o god_n faith_n in_o god_n carry_v the_o soul_n to_o god_n and_o there_o it_o live_v in_o what_o god_n be_v in_o which_o life_n all_o distrustful_a and_o distract_n fear_n be_v banish_v from_o the_o soul_n
