think_v very_o little_a of_o a_o judgement_n to_o come_v it_o be_v easy_a enough_o to_o show_v that_o these_o be_v no_o reason_n why_o they_o shall_v not_o think_v frequent_o of_o a_o future_a xvii_o act_n xxxi_o because_o he_o have_v appoint_v a_o day_n in_o the_o which_o he_o will_v judge_v the_o world_n in_o righteousness_n by_o that_o man_n who_o he_o have_v ordain_v whereof_o he_o have_v give_v assurance_n unto_o all_o man_n in_o that_o he_o have_v raise_v he_o from_o the_o dead_a the_o introduction_n have_v in_o a_o former_a treatise_n discourse_v large_o concern_v death_n the_o next_o thing_n to_o be_v consider_v be_v judgement_n for_o so_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o after_o death_n the_o judgement_n 27._o and_o a_o very_a grave_n and_o serious_a thought_n it_o be_v if_o ever_o man_n will_v be_v serious_a for_o nothing_o can_v be_v of_o great_a concernment_n to_o we_o than_o a_o future_a judgement_n which_o will_v determine_v our_o final_a state_n and_o condition_n to_o eternity_n in_o treat_v on_o this_o subject_a i_o shall_v observe_v this_o method_n 1._o inquire_v what_o assurance_n we_o have_v of_o a_o future_a judgement_n 2._o the_o time_n when_o this_o judgement_n shall_v be_v god_n have_v appoint_v a_o day_n for_o it_o 3._o who_o shall_v be_v our_o judge_n god_n will_v judge_v the_o world_n but_o not_o immediate_o by_o himself_o but_o by_o that_o a_o man_n who_o he_o have_v ordain_v that_o be_v by_o christ_n jesus_n who_o be_v a_o man_n and_o the_o son_n of_o man_n as_o well_o as_o the_o eternal_a son_n of_o god_n 4._o the_o public_a and_o awful_a solemnity_n of_o judgement_n 5._o the_o person_n who_o shall_v be_v judge_v the_o world_n or_o all_o mankind_n 6._o for_o what_o we_o shall_v be_v judge_v whatever_o we_o have_v do_v in_o this_o body_n whether_o it_o be_v good_a or_o bad_a 7._o the_o rule_n whereby_o we_o shall_v be_v judge_v and_o the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o judgement_n chap._n i._n the_o proof_n of_o a_o future_a judgement_n in_o treat_v of_o death_n there_o be_v no_o need_n to_o prove_v that_o all_o man_n must_v die_v for_o this_o be_v too_o visible_a to_o be_v deny_v but_o judgement_n be_v not_o see_v nor_o can_v it_o be_v see_v because_o it_o be_v not_o yet_o can_v man_n indeed_o look_v into_o the_o other_o world_n they_o will_v soon_o be_v convince_v by_o the_o different_a state_n of_o good_a and_o bad_a man_n there_o that_o god_n have_v appoint_v a_o day_n for_o judgement_n but_o that_o be_v a_o invisible_a state_n to_o we_o and_o the_o thought_n of_o judgement_n be_v so_o uneasy_a to_o bad_a man_n now_o that_o they_o be_v very_o unwilling_a to_o believe_v it_o and_o this_o make_v it_o necessary_a to_o lay_v the_o foundation_n of_o all_o in_o the_o proof_n of_o a_o future_a judgement_n now_o there_o be_v two_o way_n of_o prove_v this_o first_o by_o the_o principle_n of_o reason_n second_o by_o revelation_n by_o reason_n we_o can_v prove_v that_o god_n will_v judge_v the_o world_n as_o that_o signify_v that_o god_n will_v call_v all_o man_n to_o a_o account_n for_o their_o action_n and_o that_o he_o will_v reward_v good_a man_n and_o punish_v the_o wicked_a in_o the_o next_o world_n this_o the_o heathen_n themselves_o discover_v by_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n they_o talk_v very_o much_o of_o the_o internal_a judge_n and_o of_o the_o reward_n and_o punishment_n of_o good_a and_o bad_a man_n after_o death_n and_o therefore_o in_o this_o sense_n do_v believe_v a_o future_a judgement_n but_o yet_o the_o revelation_n of_o the_o gospel_n have_v give_v we_o a_o more_o plain_a and_o undeniable_a assurance_n of_o this_o and_o have_v discover_v something_o more_o than_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n can_v discover_v the_o light_n of_o nature_n and_o reason_n may_v satisfy_v we_o as_o it_o do_v the_o heathen_n that_o god_n will_v reward_v good_a man_n and_o punish_v the_o wicked_a in_o the_o next_o world_n but_o it_o can_v not_o tell_v we_o that_o god_n have_v appoint_v a_o general_a day_n of_o judgement_n wherein_o all_o the_o dead_a shall_v rise_v again_o out_o of_o their_o grave_n and_o reassume_a their_o body_n and_o be_v summon_v to_o judgement_n it_o can_v not_o tell_v we_o who_o shall_v be_v our_o judge_n with_o what_o glory_n and_o majesty_n he_o shall_v appear_v and_o with_o what_o pomp_n and_o awful_a and_o terrible_a solemnity_n he_o shall_v judge_v we_o the_o world_n know_v nothing_o of_o this_o before_o the_o gospel_n be_v preach_v for_o it_o depend_v whole_o upon_o the_o will_n and_o pleasure_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o can_v be_v know_v only_o by_o revelation_n i_o shall_v begin_v with_o the_o proof_n from_o reason_n and_o show_v you_o what_o moral_a evidence_n and_o assurance_n we_o have_v that_o god_n will_v judge_v the_o world_n as_o that_o signify_v that_o he_o will_v reward_v good_a man_n and_o punish_v the_o wicked_a in_o the_o next_o world_n
